B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2017
4.2
Overall, students of 2017 batch had a good experience, decent placements and good infrastructure.
Placements: Placements were fine in our college. I got placed in a company which visited our campus to offer placements. Our college claims that it provides 100% placements at the time of joining, but it provides placements to approximately 85% of the students. The highest salary package offered here was 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. Most of us got an average salary package of 3 LPA. Reputed companies like L&T, TCS, Infosys, FedEx, etc., visit our college. From 2017 batch, most of the students got placed. Students from the electronics and telecommunication branch got placed in the core engineering field as well as in BPOs. Software companies like Infosys and TCS also hired students from here.
Infrastructure: There were a good computer lab, sports facilities and a library for us. Hostels were very clean and well maintained, but there were no air-conditioners in classrooms during our tenure. The internet facility was provided by our college, and its speed was fast. Hostel rooms had air-conditioners and other facilities like cool water and cleaning. I heard that the food served in the hostel was not good. Our college building looks good from the outside, and the playground was also good.
Faculty: Some teachers here were rude, but most of them were helpful. They were well qualified, but their teaching style was not up to the mark. The course curriculum was excellent, so because of that only, we got placed and are currently working. We are provided with industrial training, and the lab sessions conducted here are good so that we can become more industry-ready. Lab faculty members are really helpful, and they will also help you with the project.
Other: Our campus was good, and it was near to my house, so I have chosen it. Our college has a reputation in Nagpur, and students from Nagpur and nearby areas study here. The gym was really awesome, and the best part of our college is that there is a language lab which helps students to improve their communication skills. I think that our college should change the syllabus. Studies get boring after a while, and the same teachers teach us in every semester. So, our college should hire more teachers.

Overall, it is an average college.
Placements: Placements in our college are average. Around 30-35% of the students from our course got placed. Almost 20-25 companies like Amazon, Capgemini, motif, etc., visit our college for all the branches placements. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.9 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. There is a shop on the campus, where students take a print out of their lab records. Library and classrooms are good. We had to face certain issues here. The college does not provide enough space in the ground to play sports like cricket.
Faculty: Only a few teachers in our college are highly qualified in their field of interest. Some professors are very helpful and friendly to talk with them.

Think twice before you go.
Placements: Almost 60 per cent students were placed. Average package was 3-4 LPA All the recruiting companies were IT and BPO like amazon, TCS, Wipro, HCL. There are no internship facilities for students from the college end. Very few opportunities provided for top rolls in etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average and we use to have a different department on different floors. Wi-Fi, classroom, labs are good. Not sure about the hostel but canteen is good with Average food quality. We had different grounds to play different sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers were not so helpful they use to just focus on how to complete the course and nothing to learn worth and interesting. The course is not at all relevant and the students are not at all industry-ready I think there main objective is to complete the course only.
Other: The only thing that I like about this college is that they use to conduct good events with lots of help of students let it be cultural events, fairwell, freshers or technical events.

It is the best college under Nagpur University.
Placements: It is a good college under Nagpur University, and the teaching staff was also good. Placements were average, but we tried well so we can get the best company through college. Mentor system was also provided to make students bright, and students are likely to concentrate on their skills under mentors.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility was also provided. Labs were fully equipped. Classrooms were also good with projectors. The library is full of all the required books which are needed for students. Many books other than course books were also available. Canteen facilities were at its best at a reasonable rate.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college were very good and helpful. They were very punctual and very focused on their teaching with valuable notes and interactive class sessions. The course curriculum was relevant as it gave practical knowledge related to the field, and students become industry-ready.
Other: Events held were very cheerful and big amongst it. Sports session was also held, and technical events were good.

Raising Future Stars For Modifying India.
Placements: 75%students were placed in our course. The highest Package is upto 10lakh and the lowest is 2.7lakh and average salary offered is 3.3-3.6lakh. Top companies are TCS, COGNIZANT, etc. Programmer analyst and engineer trainnee are the offers offered in our course. About 50-60% students GOT internship from your course in Bsnl and In It Companies.
Infrastructure: Education is the most important parameter for the growth in the development of country as well as in students life. In The modern era we GOT many facilities and infrastructure. Proper Computer Labs, Jio Wi-Fi, Online Study material and many more. Not best but good facilities provided in hostel mess and in sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified as our communication was in English. According to me this course is not that much curriculum relevant. What we study or taught by our teachers are not that much important in corporate sector. We are studying Electronics and Working in IT sector. Proper Education should be there in course so students get benifit. The bookish Knowledge what we learn is not that much essential to work in IT sector. The role of teacher are always important. Yes They are qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also good but as the technology is increasing there should also be different modes for teaching. Like videos, PPT and different induction programs so that we can easily learn and understand many different subjects. There should be proper course which will help us to grow or stand in IT sector. As new courses are growing at a rapid speed like artificial intelligence and machine learning there should be workshops as well as induction programs about this so we should be aware of this courses and Maximum no. Of students should join those course. Students should be aware about NASA as well as ISRO. They should be a part in the development of country. Students should be aware about formal as well as informal knowledge as both are very important for the growth of student as well as the development of country.
Other: Engineers play a very important role in the infrastructure as well as in the development of country. Though our brain Engineers are making a new look to world like roads, bridges, infrastructure, as well as in technology. I also want to be a part of this development That's why I chose this course. The best things are we have a knowledge of computers mobiles Telecommunication which plays a very vital role. Bookish education should be improve.

The college needs to improve on providing teaching and course curriculum.
Placements: Almost 70% of the batch got placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 25,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was around Rs. 8,000 per month. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Infosys (off-campus), Wipro, etc., visited our campus for placements. Roles like system engineer, developer, tester, coder, etc., were offered to students. The highest salary package offered was 3.4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was around 1.5 LPA, Almost 50% of the students got internships in companies like TCS, BSNL, etc.
Infrastructure: There was only a boys hostel. The building is divided into several departments rather than having a separate department for each block. The library was good and well-maintained. There is a big ground for three colleges. The canteen was quite small. Adequate resources for sports were not available, like table, tennis, etc. Adequate resources are also not available for medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful and qualified. They had just completed their M.Tech, so they don't have much industrial knowledge. The teaching quality was good but could have been better. The course curriculum was quite relevant to the syllabus, but it doesn't provide any practical knowledge, so students don't know how to apply it.
Other: I was interested in learning this course. It taught me the subjects in which I was interested like mobile communication etc. The course curriculum should be more industry-oriented so that we can apply what we have learnt. Our department organised a national-level event. Moreover, workshops are conducted in the college. The scholarship was also provided here.

Satisfaction of learning in a Institution having all the right tools for Education.
Placements: The placements during our batch of 2014 was good as compared to the earlier batches. The percentage of the people getting places was on a higher side. The highest salary offered was around 3.8 Lacs per annum. The lowest went around 2 Lacs per annum. There were several companies that visited the campus which included Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Syntel Pvt. Ltd. and others. The roles offered were mainly concentrated towards Software Engineer. The college does't provide any support for internships. Internship was one thing which the students had to figure out themselves. Although the internships didn't offer any kind of stipend, it was a great learning curve for all the students. There is a placement cell present in the college. It does provide lot of placement activities for the students which included mock interviews, mock aptitude questions and others. Hence these activities are definitely useful for the students.
Infrastructure: Our institution was on a development stage when we I had joined the college in 2010. Slowly, but gradually there were a lot of improvements in the infrastructure of the college. This included an increase in the quality of the classrooms, the number of books available in the library, and improvement in the medical facilities and others. There needs to be an improvement in the quality of the food offered in the canteen. I have not stayed in the hostel room, and hence can't comment about the condition of the hostel rooms. Personally, I have not felt any kind of issue during my tenure related to the infrastructure.
Faculty: The best thing about the college was its faculty. I had the privilege of studying under some of the best professors from my college. Our Head of the Department was very supportive and very encouraging. The quality of the teaching was also of the highest standard. The student to faculty ratio was on a higher side. But still it seemed to manageable in the class. We did got some industry exposure through Industrial visits, where we got a generic idea about how the things actually go in a company. The course curriculum is being set by the university, which is a bit backward as compared by the current trends going in the society. This is one thing where improvements needs to be done by the university.
Other: I was always a person doing a lot of events and extra curricular activities. The campus crowd had people from all backgrounds, but the college made sure that all were treated the same. This was subordinated with the scholarships given to the needy students as and when they required. The surrounding is quite green, and it is quite a pleasant atmosphere around the college.

Best upcoming college in the university.
Placements: The placements are great, and last year's placement count was 247 students in total. Total 13 companies recruited our students, and three companies were under fortune 500 companies. On an average, 3.5 lakh/per annum was the package. The job profiles were different for the different branches. There were a variety of job profiles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great. The labs are well-equipped, and the library has a wide range of books, they even provide novels. High-end standards are used. Desk and benches are sturdy and comfortable. Generator and inverter facility are available. Boys and girls common rooms are on each floor. JIO is accessible, and college Wi-Fi is also accessible. Student members fully control sports and games. Medical facility for each branch is separately available.
Faculty: The faculty knows what they teach. They teach by different techniques and mechanism, like ppt, real-life examples, practical representation and concept related understanding. Each teacher is highly qualified and experienced. Their behaviour towards students is great. They take lots of effort for the better results of the students. Time to time assignments are given.
