I'm really happy with our college.
Placements: It's an autonomous college, and our college doesn't provide any placement facility. After completing B.Sc or M.Sc in botany, we can join in biotechnology lab in the botany department as post-diploma students. After completing that course, there's an opportunity to work in many companies by contacting the coordinator of PG botany.
Infrastructure: Now our college is the first ranked college in West Bengal and 8th in all over India. So it's quite obvious that it provides the top facilities and infrastructure. The condition of the lab is also very good. Our college has a free Wi-Fi facility, and the quality of food served in the canteen isn't bad. But our college doesn't provide any hostel facility. However, there is a lot of messes near the college, so it's not a big issue regarding food.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful and friendly with students. They provide various new information about our subject to enrich our knowledge. They are also highly qualified and completed their PhD in many universities and institutions. This course is a general line, and after completing this degree, students are eligible to pursue PhD or any other lines of biological field or others like comparative study, etc.
Other: After completing my B.Sc in botany, I'm doing M.Sc in botany because botany is considered as the basis of biology. Currently, there's a huge demand in this field.

Review of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College.
Placements: In our college, the majority of students prepare for GATE and NET exams, while other students prepare for government or private sector exams. There are no placement offers in the Botany department, but this department offers national and international seminars and conducts some internship programs.
Infrastructure: Labs are well developed. Classrooms are very good. No hostel is available in this college, but a canteen is available on the college campus. A well-developed library and gym are also available. The food quality of the canteen is good.
Faculty: Teachers in the Department of Botany are good. Teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is good. In the Department of Botany, most work is in plant pathology, plant biotechnology, cytology, bioinformatics, and phycology. The syllabus of the Department of Botany is related to the NET exam, and the semester subjects are more or less difficult depending on the topic. The passing percentage is good.
Other: The college environment is good for study and growth. The faculty of any department in this college is good.
