Do not get admission to RIT for the B.Sc. Hons. Agriculture course because it is a waste of money.
Placements: In my college, no students got placed in any agriculture-related companies because many students prepared for government exams and entrance exams. No students got placements. The highest package was 4-5 LPA, and the lowest was 2-2.5 LPA. The top recruiting company was Rallies India. No students got internships. The roles offered were Sales (MDO/Agro Advisory).
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, Wi-Fi and labs were available, but much equipment in labs was not available. During practicals for any subject, we managed and cooperated with each other. Classrooms were also average and not very good. All the equipment in the classrooms was damaged or not available, such as projectors. A library was available but was not well maintained. The quality of food in the hostel was below average, while the canteen and sports facilities were good.
Faculty: The teaching quality of teachers was average because every teacher had a PDF of the subject. Then they came and started reading it through the projector. Many teachers had master's degrees, but a few were NET or Ph.D. qualified. This course did not make students industry-ready due to a lack of practical knowledge and engagement. The difficulty level of the semester exams was average. The pass percentage was 80-90%.

It is not a good college for B.Sc. Agriculture.
Placements: Companies visit our college to offer sales roles. The average salary package is 2 LPA to 3 LPA. Around 6 students out of 90 got internships and one got a job offer in our branch. The roles offered are sales associate, sales officer, and business development officer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi doesn't work well. Our college has a lab with fewer facilities. Classrooms have blackboards. There is a small land for agriculture courses to do practicals. Students have to pay money for doing practicals. They sell the land after harvesting. All the materials needed for harvesting should be bought by students. The hostel imposes a fine of Rs.1,000 to Rs.20,000 for doing anything wrong.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are not good. One teacher teaches more than 2 subjects. All teachers don't have teaching experience. The course curriculum is very old. Teachers don't complete the syllabus on time but they send notes in PDF form. Semester exams are very easy to pass.
Other: I chose this course because agriculture is a great profession and I wanted to improve in it. Our college shows off its engineering students and buildings. They hire teachers for a salary of Rs.15,000 to Rs.25,000 per month who look like sales persons. Management charges high fees from students and hires teachers at low salaries. They behave like strangers to the agriculture and forestry department. I recommend students to join this college who want a professional degree. Our college is not affiliated with ICAR.
