Bad faculty, good infrastructure.

Placements: Royal College is famous for many things, but the major contributing factor to this is the wide range of companies which pay visits every year. Since our college is a private college, every student is supposed to pay a fee of around Rs. 5000 at the time of joining separately for the placement facilities they provide. This year also, various MNCs like Wipro Technologies, Tech Mahindra, TCS etc had been into our college and more that 50% of the total student strength got placed. A few consultancies had also conducted recruitment inside our campus. As our placement officer was a man with a good deal of experience under placement service, it was not a big deal for a student to get placed in an MNC. The highest salary was offered by WIPRO and it was in the range of Rs. 20000. Some other companies like IDBI Bank and Sutherland head been into our college offering non-tech jobs.

Infrastructure: The college campus is spread over twelve acres of land inside what feels like a dense forest. Hence the atmosphere is not disturbing like other colleges. Since the college is a private self-funding college, almost every student is satisfied with the infrastructure and other facilities. Royal's infrastructure is an aggregate of international styled central library, well-equipped laboratories with safeguards, canteen, separate hostels for boys and girls with rooms which accommodates around six people etc. The gym facility and the playground are the ones among these that stand out from the rest.

Faculty: Almost every faculty member in my department was either about to retire or was in the early phases of their middle age. Hence most of the students were not at all comfortable in their presence. Even though they were not friendly, their class was excellent as most of them were experienced professionals. During the major project and seminar phase, everyone had to choose a guide of their own will and the guide was supposed to help the student in every aspect. But they did not pay much attention to the students' activities and were ignorant to the fact that they had to submit an evaluation report by accessing the students' performance at the end of the curriculum.

Other: The infrastructure of the college is appreciable. It has good facilities with good labs. College campus is always neat and clean. Student’s politics is in diluted version and I consider it as positive. Faculties are not up to the mark. Many have not any good knowledge about their subjects. The college's placement cell is the worst department and don't expect campus interviews from this college.
