Good college with all the facilities .
Placements: Our college offers a one-year compulsory internship after graduation; the college will give a whopping 42000 rupees per month. After completing their internship, they can go for a government job, tutor in dental schools or open their own clinic. But graduates should study very hard to get a placement in the government sector.
Infrastructure: Our college offers all the necessary facilities required in the BDS curriculum, from dental instruments to machines. As it is a part of SCB Medical College, everything is available here. College, classrooms and hostels have Wi-Fi. There is a library, too. Hostels are pretty nice and clean, with a yearly fee of 14000 rupees. Food is average but manageable, and the canteen charges are 4000 per month. Football, cricket, badminton, and volleyball competitions are also organized by our student union.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and helpful. They focus on both theory and practice. They gave importance to clinical skills and practical knowledge, as they're very important in the BDS curriculum. This curriculum helps a student become self-reliant. It's a good course if you're completely into it. There are 3 semesters and a final university exam, which is quite hard. In the final exam, 75% of the students managed to pass.
Other: If u are doing BDS from a government college, it's undeniably a good decision. Because it has a good flow of patience, you can develop good clinical & practical skills. That's why I've chosen it. But you have to be patient and work hard for it because it's a very saturated field. The government should focus on the job facilities in government sectors, as they're very low for dental graduates. The campus is inside the city with excellent patient flow. There is a 25,000-rupee scholarship for SC, ST, OBC and EWS students. Our students union organizes many cultural events like ganesh puja, Saraswati Puja, holi, annual festival, etc.

I am satisfied because the academics and faculty members are helpful.
Placements: About 70% of students get into different PG courses through OPSC recruitment and open their clinics. About 100% of them do a compulsory paid internship of one year in SCB itself. There is no limit to the amount of money you can earn. The minimum is 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: There is free WiFi. There are 9 departments, and each has classrooms and lecture theatres. There is a dental library. Practical labs are there with proper instruments. Hostels are available at a cheap cost. There are multiple messes that you can join, each of them serving the best quality food at a minimum price that every student can afford. There is a gym, a playground, a swimming pool, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely helpful as they are doctors and postgraduates themselves. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is extremely relevant nowadays as oral health is extremely important and it definitely makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are fairly okay if you study. It requires your hard work and determination. The pass percentage is 98%.
Other: I chose this course because I want to serve the people of this society.

This college is one of the best dental college.
Placements: Students after completing BDS got jobs at several PHC by the government of Odisha. At various PHC the requirements of dentists are very much. The people of rural areas are much benefited from the government. The dental line is very important for their good fare and being a dentist is a very proud thing.
Infrastructure: We have an excellent hostel facility and the best canteen. Free Wi-Fi is provided everywhere. Classrooms are best with a lot of facilities. Here you can get 3 times food and share 4 beds in a room. The hostel life is good if you stay here. The library is very big and you got a lot of facilities there.
Faculty: There are 3 internal exams and 1 final year exam. The course period is 4 and a half years. The exams are conducted under Utkal University and are not easy. You need to work hard for getting good scores in the exams. The exams are on the basis of pen and paper.
Other: In dentistry, you can practice a lot and become a good doctor and serve people very well. Here you can deal with a variety of patients as it is Odisha's popular institute and the oldest institute.

- Read moreCandidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually and must have obtained mentioned percentage taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. In respect of PwBD candidates as per NMC and DCI Regulations, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology taken together shall be 40% instead of 50%. Candidates who have passed Class 12 from Open School or as private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for the ‘National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test’. However, this has been a subject matter of challenge before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, Hon’ble High Court of Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, and Hon’ble High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur. Result awaited candidates can also apply,he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the Undergraduate Medical Courses if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage at the time of first round of Counselling.
