Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) - Batch of 2027

An inside scoop into the life of a Ruia student.
Placements: The cutoff for Science at our college is not that pretty high, but it is a little difficult to get into merit as there are 60 students in our class. They are supposed to choose their major in the second year of their degree. During that time, everyone gets tons of opportunities for campus internships and fellowships, which definitely look good on the resume. Also, the college's name itself does help.
Infrastructure: Ruia has two dedicated buildings for its students, one for JC students and the other for degree students, but the classes are scheduled and vice versa. Both buildings are amazingly built and have a passing bridge between them through the terrace. The hostel facility is not yet provided, and many students seek outside PG to live.
Faculty: In my course, the exams are tough, and the faculty is equally strict, but they are also lenient if a student's issue is genuine. All the faculty members are extremely qualified and have a vast knowledge of their respective subjects. They come in and help, even if the student wants a LOC.
Other: I chose this course as I was looking for it in many colleges, but while speaking with alumni, here at Ruia, they told me that microbiology from Ruia is equal to engineering from an IIT.

I loved the faculty members, food, and infrastructure. I got the best college experience for life.
Placements: The college has decent placement offers. There are not many placements available but in the field of biotechnology, there are quite a few offers that help students get into good companies and make a decent amount from it. Many life science students get into renowned research units.
Infrastructure: Ruia College's infrastructure is very good. It has many classrooms which are spacious and well air-conditioned. Now after construction, there will be AC in all classrooms. Labs are well-equipped. The canteen has hygienic food and a good seating area. Grounds and games have different sections.
Faculty: Teachers of all departments are highly qualified. They have a good name in teaching society. The course curriculum is up to the mark. It is also very diverse because of the new education policy applied changes, so students get more real-life experience in their field.
Other: Life science and environment science are something that fascinates me, and doing them at Ruia College is the best decision. Faculty members, labs, and everything make learning and college life a memorable experience.

All about Ruia Chemistry depth.
Placements: Placement is generally not offered, and in some cases, some internships might be provided. Around 40% of students got internships from outside the college. The college doesn't offer any internships. If you have any idea regarding any project in the field of the subject, you will get some grant.
Infrastructure: Huge library on the campus with all kinds of books, and the environment of the college is very good for students with good interaction with people. There are a variety of hotels and food stalls outside the college with affordable pricing. The infrastructure is quite good than other colleges.
Faculty: Teachers are very much experienced in teaching, with a minimum of 6 years of experience. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. The syllabus is quite good, with a technical aspect and recent trends in the market, and it gives us exposure to different instruments, which will help in the industrial aspect.
Other: There are many events like Utsav, Aarohan, and Samanvay, with Samanvay being the major one. I had Chemistry as my subject, and it was a great journey into the college with this subject.

Satisfied! It's really great college for B.Sc. level.
Placements: Placement from college is quite low, but on an individual basis, they guide you to give competitive exams for Masters. On the basis of your eligibility, marks, you get internships. Roles are generally in industry/research. If you maintain good CGPA, you can get a nice placement.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available for students. But labs/classrooms are well-equipped and have projectors. The overall infrastructure is also great. Library is there with a lot of books. Canteen is not that big, food there is also okay-okay, but rest of the college has good campus and space.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are knowledgeable, mentoring is also done by them. Curriculum has developed due to NEP, so it makes us related to industry. Difficult level for semester exams is good. Passing percentage is 40%. Overall teaching experience is great.

Satisfied with the learning and practical experience. Infrastructure is really developed.
Placements: The 2023-24 batch got placements in good companies, but it was through their own exams/efforts. Our college does offer sessions for competitive exams, but actual placement is not that good. I mean, from college it's not there. Individual efforts are needed.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available for students; labs/classrooms have evolved, and it's good to see that. Basic facilities have excelled. Though the canteen doesn't have that much good food, the area around the college has many food options. Sports-wise, college promotes. The rest of the things are pretty good.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are qualified; they are helpful. The curriculum has improved due to NEP; it's more practical knowledge-related, which makes us have the practical experience of the things. Semester exams are good. Pass percentage is 40%.

Our college provides good teachers and infrastructure.
Placements: There are no placements in this college. Top recruiting companies visit our college for recruitment.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is well maintained. Several books are available in the library. There is a study room on our campus. The food served in the canteen is average. Our campus is clean. This college participates in intercollegiate competitions.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful during exams. They explain every topic properly. Assignments are conducted by faculty members. The syllabus is great. Semester exams are moderate.
Other: This course is good for the research field and competitive exams. Events are very good. Our campus is eco-friendly. Our college also participates in district-level sports and intercollegiate competitions. Our campus crowd is good.

Best for studies and enjoyment.
Placements: I just graduated from RAMNARAIN RUIA in the year 2023, I am taking some break before continuing job. In my batch there are 17 students, all with good grades in HSC, the teachers promise good placement in good companies, only if you have a higher degree, other than B.Sc. degree, eg: M.Sc. , Ph.D. etc.
Infrastructure: Labs are very nice, properly cleaned and with all the facilities, Wi-Fi is free in quadrangle and some areas. Library is also huge with many books, a student get its library card after taking admission. Classrooms are also very good with proper lights and projectors, also many other facilities are very good.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely helpful in studies, for my course all the teachers have completed Ph.D. Overall teaching quality is very good i.e 9.5/10. Exams are competitive but teachers are helpful. Teachers teach important stuff other than syllabus too like how to get a good job, what to do etc.
Other: I chose botany in the third year of my B.Sc. because I am a plant enthusiast, I like to grow plants in my home, and also wanted to get other information and a degree. There are many fest in this college, like every month there will be a fest , but it's very good and the people of RUIA are also great and helpful.

Beautiful experience, happy learning coupled with being industry ready.
Placements: Speaking of B.Sc. . in general department wise the placement percentage varies, however there's above 60% placement guarantee right after B.Sc. . which increases after Masters programme. The lowest package offered being 10k per month and the highest being 20-22k per month after completion of B.Sc. . Again the top recruiting companies vary and almost every student gets internship since it is a part of the curriculum in companies like Equinox, Cipla etc.
Infrastructure: The departments are equipped with Wi-Fi, Libraries are up to date with digital books and software for research purpose. Apart from that individual departments have their own book bank. Labs are maintained well and are equipped with instruments acquired through grants. The canteen food is hygienic and palettable.
Faculty: The teachers are quite approachable and helpful. They go above and beyond in making a concept clear and in making learning a bit more fun answering all doubts and questions at the same time. The course curriculum is changed according to changing times with the help of currently passed out students to get their insights on current industrial requirements and what needs to be added in the curriculum. The semester exams are pretty easy to get over with if studied properly. The pass percentage varies, cannot constructively say anything.
Other: I chose this course due to my growing interest in microbiology during the Covid era. And it has truly lived upto my expectations. The events and the crowd is quite great and has been the best part of my college life. Since volunteering for fests is directly coupled with extra curricular activities and NEP, students get a chance to enjoy college life around campus and fulfill their hours at the same time.
