I suggest you join this college. It is one of the best colleges in Maharashtra.
Placements: From the electrical engineering course, about 83% of students successfully got placed in one of the best companies in India and in some excellent MNCs. The average salary package offered was 5 LPA. Many students get a salary package that ranges from more than 7-8 LPA. Companies like Wipro, Tata Power, MSEB, Siemens, and L&T visit our college for campus placements. Particularly from our department, about 60% of students got internships in companies like Siemens, etc. There are many training programs. Top roles like junior engineers, assistant engineers, power systems engineers, and switchgear engineers are offered in our course.
Infrastructure: The campus is spared over 47 acres of land. The campus life is quite lavish, with trees, a lake, and peacocks. The canteen and mess are decent. It has a gym and huge sports grounds with many sports equipment.
Faculty: Teachers are technically very sound, and many of them are from IITs. They help you even to guide for your career. The course curriculum is relevant. In the 3rd-4th years, it conducts extracurricular activities and industrial visits, which make us career-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I have chosen this course because I want to establish a solar panels manufacturing company as it requires technical knowledge in power systems. Many practical demonstration and training programs should be provided to help students a lot. Our college conducts 3 festivals named spectra, space, and spirit, which are technical, cultural, and sports fests.

Our college is really good, and the infrastructure is great. It has a great campus.
Placements: Our college has fairly good recruiters because of its long-standing reputation, but students' reluctance and lethargy might change the situation a little bit. Nevertheless, core companies like Lodha, L&T, ThyssenKrupp and a lot more recruit students regularly from SPCE. Non-core dream companies like EXL Business Process Solutions and Mu Sigma also visit here. I suggest you not to expect that you will get the highest salary package of up to 15 LPA-16 LPA. The highest salary package was being offered in 2015-2016 by Hindustan Unilever Ltd, which was 7 LPA. However, SPCE actually has pretty good placements, and around 50 companies visit here every year. Nearly 98% of the students who participate in placements will get placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good, and medical facilities are also available within the campus. There are an extremely peaceful ambiance and a suitable environment for students. Our college is located on Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Andheri campus and near to Shahajiraje sports complex. If you travel by local trains, you can get down at Andheri station and then can either walk or take a rickshaw or bus to reach college if you are from Western or Harbour. Students who live in central should prefer to get down at Ghatkopar and take the Mumbai Metro to Azad Nagar, which is very near to the college. If you are going to travel by rickshaw, you have to ask the rickshaw driver to take you to Bhavans college as nobody knows SPCE. Facilities are improving but very slowly. There are labs, but they need to be upgraded in a few aspects. In quite a few labs, the equipment is faulty and outdated, but the department hasn't bothered to repair or replace it. Hence, practicals are conducted just for a formality, which is disappointing.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and are really good. In the mechanical engineering department, the teachers are well-qualified, and about 4-5 teachers have a PhD, while many of them are pursuing PhD. However, you might not find the teaching up to the mark. Understanding a subject and preparing for the examination of that subject in SPCE is different. This needs to be changed, and only teachers can change it.
Other: I want to become an electrical engineer, so I chose this course. Sardar Patel College of Engineering was established in the year 1962 with three streams, i.e., civil, electrical and mechanical. In later years, the computer, IT, electronics, EXTC and MCA were added. Our college got government aid only for the earlier three branches. So, the latter branches were separated to form a new college known as Sardar Patel Institute of Technology.

I am satisfied with the infrastructure, faculty, facilities, good labs and good placements.
Placements: Almost 100% of the students in our course got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 80,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month and the average salary offered ranges between Rs. 30,000-40,000 per month. Top recruiting companies like Siemens, L&T, Reliance, etc., visit our campus for placements. Students get various opportunities in every field, whether it be dancing, singing, modelling, sports, exposure to marketing, organising events, technical knowledge of robots and cars to make themselves. The highest salary package offered in our course is 10 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges between 4-5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. About 70% of the students got an internship in companies like Siemens, SPJIMR, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Wi-Fi facility is available in college as well as a hostel. Smartboards are available in the classrooms for teaching. The library is good but not enough. New books are also available. The infrastructure of our hostel is good with full security in girls hostel as well as boys. Quality food served is good. There are 2 mess and 2 canteens for students.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well-qualified and knowledgeable. However, some are not much good, but most of the teachers have good knowledge as well as teaching skills. The course curriculum is relevant. Being an autonomous institute it makes students industry-ready and prepares them accordingly.
Other: The college has only 3 branches, i.e., CME and the college is famous for producing good electrical engineers. Good quality packages are provided to students of this branch. Teaching faculty members should be improved. The college organises cultural fest named Space, tech fest named Spectra, sports fest named Spirit and inter-branch events as well. Scholarships are provided to brilliant students.

The college is a good destination for a student planning for a very successful career.
Placements: The placements in the college are quite good. More than a 50 companies visit the campus. The placement package which the students get is decent as well. The average package is 3.5 to 4 lacs. With the highest ranging from 6 to 10 lacs. It's quite a good salary to start with as an engineer. The placements for our batch were very good with almost every one placed wanting to get a placement. L&T, seimens, lodha, byjus were some of the companies to name a few. The roles offered were as per the demand the companies required and it was very well versed with what the students required.
Infrastructure: The college campus is fully fledged with wi-fi facilities. Wi- fi facility is provided in the hostel as well. CCTV cameras are provided in the college as well as hostel. There is volleyball court just next to the college canteen. There is a big playground as well. Medical facilities are there itself in the college. The classroom as well as the labs are fully fledged with the high end amenities which are required for the students. The quality of food Available in the canteen is good. The hostel which SPCE has got is I think one of the best in Maharashtra. There was no infrastructure issue.
Faculty: The teacher in the college are very helpful. All the teachers in the college are almost Ph.D. holders. The teaching quality is good. The teaching Methods in the college are not only book oriented but based on the ongoing industry norms. SPCE has a tradition of arranging various industrial visits throughout the year. The college also provides internships in the Mumbai local as well. The course curriculum was off - course useful for it has produced a vast group of furnished Engineers.
Other: SPCE has one of the biggest event which is SPACE the fest. Students from all the colleges over Maharashtra take part in the competition. The campus crowd is extravagant. Connectivity is not an issue for SPCE as it is located in Andheri. Students are provided with scholarships as per the Maharashtra government norms and along with that various other scholarships are provided for the meritorious students. Extracurricular activities is a part of space's tradition coming on from all over the years.

The best training and placement officer is awarded to Dr Dahatonde from IIT BOMBAY.
Placements: The college is having only core branches like civil, electrical and mechanical engineering. Being a government autonomous college, the placement statistics is very good in core branches with an average placement of 90%. The salary offered to candidates are ranging from 4 LPA to 11 LPA with companies like L&T, Siemens, Godrej, Tata Motors, Feedback Infra Pvt Ltd, L&T ECC, Blue star ltd, Jacobs Engineering, Mu Sigma, Technip KT, Toyo Engineering, Torrent Power etc. There is training and placement cell in the college which will provide assistance in getting the internship and also facilitate students with various training and mock placement interviews. Also apart from these facilities it also conducts various personal development courses. Initially, the candidates are hired as graduate engineer trainee or management trainee for some of the companies.
Infrastructure: Now the college has Wi-Fi facilities which are used only for educational purpose. All NPTEL lectures and various science magazines journal subscription are available for students. Also, internet lab is available for exploring the digital content used for course. For outstation candidates, hostel facilities are available on a nominal chargeable basis which is around Rs. 30,000. The hostel rooms are well-maintained. The central library is available on 1st floor of the college building which contains all textbooks and reference books for the course. SPCE has its own mess for students for serving quality food on the nominal charge basis. Apart from these, the canteen is also available near the workshop. Since college is situated in Bhavan's CPUs, so SP Jain Management and Research Institute's mess is also available for college students. The campus is very green with a lake and temple inside the college.
Faculty: SPCE has three branches like civil, electrical and mechanical engineering with an intake of 60 students in each class. All teachers and professors are well-qualified and knowledgeable having PhD in their required field from top IITs and NITs. Almost all professors come from an industry background, so they know how to train students for better academic and industry exposure. Being an autonomous institute, the college has the freedom to choose and decide the curriculum as per the updated industrial requirement. Usually, SPCE follows digital and blackboard method for teaching.
Other: There are many technical and cultural events are organised in an academic year (Spectra) in which many students from different IITs, NITs, state government and private colleges participate. It also has its Gymkhana where students are playing and relieving their study stress. Various scholarships are available for meritorious students like Tata Scholarship for top 10 students, and other private scholarships for top 15 students are available. There are various students associations are there to provide extra books and help for the needy students.

The college is good in terms of placements because it is all that matters.
Placements: The placements here are good as it an old institute formed around 1954 and has a great alumni network, i.e., around 75-80% students were placed here. The highest package offered here was Rs. 6 to 7 Lacs per annum by HUL, EXL, JP Morgan, Nomura, etc. And the lowest salary offered was Rs. 3 to 3.5 lacs per annum by Cognizant, IBM, ThyssenKrupp, lntecc, ACC, Techint, Aker solutions, etc. The average package was Rs. 4.5 lakhs per annum. Mostly the roles offered to the students were in the engineering design, construction, EPC consulting, analytics, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not that good as compared to other private institutions. But, there is renovation taking place in infrastructure like setting up new computer labs, new engineering equipment, etc. There is also a Wi-Fi facility available, but the speed here is not good. Also, the library here is not that big, and there are fewer books present here. Also, the canteen here is good.
Faculty: The faculty and course curriculum here is okay, means some are very best, while some have knowledge but are weak in delivery. But they conduct workshops on robotics and also have competition. Also, they provide an industrial visit to the companies like Godrej, Reliance, BSE, etc.
Other: The crowd here is ok because all the subjects are core, so male to female ratio here is 3:1. You will also get a good crowd in SPEC which has non-core courses, but it is a private institute. They have two fests here, the technical fest is called Vidyut, and the cultural fest is called Space.

Overall, it is a good college to study.
Placements: SPCE has a good record of placements. Every year, electrical companies such as Siemens, L&T and many other companies come here for placements. TCS and Infosys also come and hire students from the electrical branch. The average package offered by these companies is between 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Some students manage to get a better package. Our college also encourages pursuing masters in India or USA.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure may look dilapidated on the outside, due to the old building. But it has great infrastructure facilities as you would expect from one of the best engineering colleges in Mumbai. These facilities include great instruments for conducting practicals, especially for subjects such as electrical machines etc. which require major equipment. The classrooms are all equipped with CCTV and projector screens. There is free Wi-Fi for students across the college. A well-equipped internet lab, which students can access anytime is available. It is the best campus. The kind of campus offered by SPCE is not offered at any other college in Mumbai (except IIT Bombay), as our campus includes many other colleges. We have huge sports grounds, volleyball courts, and an indoor sports room and a lake on the campus.
Faculty: Being one of the most reputed engineering colleges in Mumbai, the college has excellent faculty and curriculum. Most faculty members here have completed their M.Tech or PhD, and have published several research papers. Information regarding the same can be obtained from our college website. Being an autonomous college under the Mumbai University, our college decides its own curriculum with consultation from subject experts and industry personnel. The faculty here gives importance to practical learning, and students start doing mini projects right from the 3rd semester and are introduced to much subject related software.
Other: Our college has a great robotics club participating in Robocon and many robotic events across Mumbai. We have two fests annually. 'Spectra' is our technical fest, which has many techno competitions and events. 'Space' is our cultural fest, which is one of the best events of the year, with guest lectures from famous people to stand up comedy. From debate competitions to talent shows, you can find everything here.

Best with regards to faculty and course curriculum.
Placements: The college has a good track record in placements. During our time, most of the students were placed. The highest package was offered by BPCL of 10 LPA. Few other notable companies were L&T, Tata, mu sigma, etc. Lots of students also got the internships through the placement cell of the college.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, there is still some work that needs to be done. The library, gymkhana and the labs, all cater to a basic bare minimum of what is expected in an engineering college. Not ideal for research enthusiasts. The canteen food is overpriced and hardly worth it. But besides that, the campus has the kind of ambience that is worthy of the academic quest. Lots of greenery, a lake, a temple, few grounds, all are there in and around the college.
Faculty: It has a few of the best faculty members in the town. They all were helpful, knowledgeable as well as well-qualified. The teaching and the non-teaching staff was extremely helpful. The college has become autonomous since 2010, so curriculum has enough flexibility on offer.
