B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2024
5.0
The best college for engineering.
Placements: 100% of students got placements in top companies. There are many top recruiting companies like Tata, Whirlpool, TCS, and many more. There are many internship programs offered at the college by reputed companies, and overall, they are helpful for students.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure of the college is best, with fully equipped digital classrooms and many of the latest facilities available. There are labs for each and every particular subject with all the latest equipment available and the library is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Faculty: The teachers are very kind and helpful to students all the time. There are two semester exams and two unit tests conducted in an academic year. The exams are not that difficult, and the staff provides you with every note and important question bank for each subject.

An underrated college with great faculty and a good placement cell.
Placements: Last year, the college was in the headlines for successfully placings almost 150 students so it's better compared to other colleges. The placement cell is very active recently and is quite helpful. Also, the college gives certain preparation courses for interviews and aptitude sessions which are important for placement.
Infrastructure: Some fans are not working at all. Labs are not in good condition due to the pandemic but medical facilities are good. Sports day takes place every year. The library is recently renovated and I can guarantee it's one of the best you will ever see in Mumbai. It looks very posh and aesthetic.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, the course curriculum is relevant and more focus is given to projects. Semester exams are difficult but the faculty prepares students well for the final exam. The passing percentage is more than 75% and the professors are quite helpful too.
Other: Events and fests are done okay but they can improve by focusing on them more.

I suggest you if you want to study then join this college.
Placements: Students who score above 70% in the diploma or 12th get placed in our college. The lowest salary package offered is 1.2 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 6 LPA in our course. Top recruiting companies like Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Mahindra, Bajaj, Kia, Suzuki, Honda, and Hero Motors visit the college for placements.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is good. Labs are fantastic. Some instruments are under maintenance, but it is good. Classrooms are huge and fantastic in our college.
Faculty: All teaching staff members are excellent. All teachers are experts in their subjects. Most of the teachers are PhD holders and graduated. They clear all our doubts. Their teaching quality is fantastic. Semester exams are easy.
Other: I have chosen this course because I wanted to become an engineer since my childhood. It was my dream to become the best engineer as well as want to do something for my country.

The engineering about the machines.
Placements: Placement percentage is low upto 5%. The higgest package was 2.8 lac per annum and the lowest was 1.92 lac per annum. There was no such popular companies in for the placement most of the production staff requirements for the companies. Very less internship programme was there so can not elaborate such companies names.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was good and campus ambience was also very good. I didn't use any hostel facility at college but seems to be good by friends reviews. There was a canteen which is provided by management and it serves quality food as per my knowledge.
Faculty: The staff is very much supportive in my department and they seem to be qualified and knowledgeable. the teaching quality varies from teacher to teacher. The course is bot fully relevant to the industry as there is no such industrial visit programme arrangements in the syllabus.
Other: I wish to pursue mechanical engineering since the time of the admission.

Disappointed with the Institutes placement and information in 2016, has potential for improvements.
Placements: For the batch passing out in 2016, about 10 percent of the students were placed from the Mechanical Division. The highest salary package was 4LPA and the lowest package offered was 1.5 LPA. The average package offered was around the 2LPA mark. Top recruiting firm was Apart industries. Top role offered was of Quality Engineer. Internships were not on offer from the college.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of the college was rather poor for the course. Systems were not in working conditions so getting a demo of many of the mechanisms was left to imagination. There was no Wi-Fi on offer and the labs and classrooms were rather poorly equipped. Quality of food in the mess and canteen was decent at best. The canteen was quite spacious and occupying. When it comes to sports, the college was well-equipped with good facilities for sports such as a great field and equipment to play on.
Faculty: 1. The teachers were a mixed bag. Some of them were quite helpful while others did not bother to care. Overall it was a decent pool of knowledge. The teachers who were qualified were helpful towards the students and patient as well while under-qualified teachers usually were out of depth while solving doubts 2. The course curriculum as prescribed by Mumbai University is outdated and old. It is old to the extent of being ancient. The curriculum does not make the students industry-ready.
Other: 1. I chose this course for the operational knowledge on offer. 2. Improvements can be made in the course by updating it to today's standards and better equipping the Institution. 3. There was only 1 festival in a year in the college named Arete and it was rather subdued. The students tried their best to make it a good festival but received very less backing from the management.

Mahatma Gandhi mission college of engineering and technology review - best and economic college.
Placements: In this College placement opportunities is higher than other college in this region. Here placement is more than 80%. For mechanical engineer it is very difficult to take placement, this thing is also matter in this College. Same fact Is applicable for civil engineer as above described for mechanical engineer.
Infrastructure: Very good infrastructure, all required equipment and machinery for curriculum activity is available here, also classroom and lab have very good infrastructure. Canteen is very good. Some lab are air conditioned. Work shop is also well-equipped. We have a very good play ground which is having lot of area. We have a seminar hall for the seminar session where we can do number of activities, which is also fully air conditioned.
Faculty: Some faculty members is very good as per our acceptation, I love our principal and HOD, some faculty member is average while some is the worst, I respect teacher but you can find variety in this matter here. But lab assistant is very good and helping person. Now come on course and curriculum, we have to follow University strictly and hardly, but we do a number of extra curriculum activity.
Other: First of all college campus is in good area, Here we perform number of events with study, we celebrate annual fest every year, we enjoy it too much, we also celebrate a sport week for one week every year, which is also in our university curriculum activity, campus placement is also organise number of times in year by college.

About 80% of the faculty are satisfactory. 60% of placements are good. Very good infrastructure.
Placements: About 60% of the students of my batch and about 75% of my seniors batch got placed in various industries with a minimum package of 3.5 LPA. The maximum package offered is 6 LPA. Companies like Oracle and many more visited the college for placements. About 50% of students go for internships. The highest stipend is Rs. 8,000, and the lowest stipend is Rs. 4,500. We have a placement cell in our college. Its efficiency is about 60-70%.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. The classes and benches are clean and neat. Automobile labs and IC engines labs are properly maintained. The quality of classrooms and labs is also good. Quality of food available in the canteen is also good. Hostel rooms are properly maintained. I didn't face any infrastructure related issues during my tenure at this college.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are well-qualified. They behave in a well-disciplined manner with all the students. The teachers are knowledgeable and very helpful to the students. The quality of teaching is also good, except for 1 or 2 teachers. The student-faculty ratio is 30:1. We got industrial exposure in Coca-Cola. The course curriculum was useful.
Other: Many events are held in this college. Every year, there will be a farewell party for all the seniors in my college. Scholarships are provided by the university. There are many extracurricular activities held in my college such as sports, events, etc.

Value for money and education but not for placements.
Placements: Placements for mechanical is very low about 25% of students placed from college campus. The highest salary acheived was 30k per month an the lowest was 15k in my previous batch. Not much or famous companies visited for placement only designing related companies visited and hier those who did designing software externally from college. Most are hiered as a designer. College do not provide internship they only provide permission letters for internships. Placement cell is available but much useful for computer Science students.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good as it is charity based college, cleanliness is best, Wi-Fi access available, classrooms are good, library have lot of books, sports and games are allowed during annual fest. Canteen food is normal but affordable. Hostel rooms are good. No I didn't face any particular problem.
Faculty: Teachers are good and educated but little conversation problem exist. Presentation techniques are mostly used to taught. Course curriculum is good faculty members put their efforts for giving the quality education to the students and extra classes were also given.
Other: College fest is awesome but external students are not allowed. Scholarship are given.
