Students have to take any 3 optional subjects, only one subject out of the subject combination group can be selected. The subject combinations are:
1. History / Music / Math / Sociology
2. Economics.
3. Elective Punjabi / Elective Hindi / Elective English
4. Public Administration / Political Science
5. Geography / Sanskrit / Physical Education / Psychology.
Important Note:
I. Sanskrit cannot be opted along with pol Sc.
II. Mathematics can be taken up only if the student has studied the subject of Maths in the previous class.
III. Maths cannot be opted along with Physical Ed, Psychology, Geography and Sanskrit.
Evening batches are also available for B.A course.

Good infrastructure and faculty members.

Placements: From my batch, around 60% of students got placed in which 15.50 lakhs was the highest package and 5.8 lakhs was the lowest one. If you are a hardworking student and want to do well in college life you should join this college. The only negative point is that the number of students applying for this college is very high. So students find it very difficult to get shortlisted in their favorite course.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. The college is divided into 5 blocks A, B, C, D, and R. Every block contains around 28 classrooms and 1 staff room. Every block has a minimum of 2 Wi-Fi setups. The library of the college is extremely large. Seating capacity in the library is for 200 students.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are supportive and well-qualified. The teaching staff includes both young and experienced teachers. Before every semester exam, teachers conduct MST (Monthly semester exams) to test the preparation of their students. By this, students get an idea of the main topics.

Other: The college is quite good if you are a hardworking student and want to focus on your studies. If you want to do extracurricular activities and play some sports or learn any art, this college is best for you. Many students get very good exposure from the college.

Our college have a motto and that is "Dare to be true.

Placements: I am doing Bachelor in arts final year in this college, I will be pass out this year. This is a Government institution, so not many companies come for placement. But still there are many companies came and they choose many of student from B.Com BCA type of streams.

Infrastructure: Government College, Ludhiana is very big college. It is in approximately 65 acres area and very big library labs faculty members departments everything is available there, hockey ground parks cricket ground stadium every facilities available college this college is built by Britishers in 1920 so this is a beautiful gift by Britishers for our city.

Faculty: Teachers of Government College Ludhiana are very intelligent, very helpful and highly educated. In our college, our teachers behave like our friend they teach is like a friend Arts stream is always ready for the industry I think many of our civil services officer and many other position captured by arts students.

Other: Because I have a great interest in arts and I love political Science and history that's why I chose arts I think the material of study need to be changed more topics need to add in today's study and some of the topics which don't belongs Today's time so they need to be changed now.
