B.A. (Hons.) in Economics - Batch of 2026

Satyawati (evening) has good facilities.
Placements: About 50–60% of students get placement every year in economics with honors in college (evening) every year. The highest package offered was approximately 6-7 lacs. The average package is around 3 lacs. The top recruiting companies were ICICI Bank, Byjus, etc. Internships are not offered at our college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in colleges. Computer labs help students gain a better understanding of technology. The library is fully air-conditioned and the best place for studying. The classroom conditions are not that good. There is no hostel facility at our college. The canteen serves good food at affordable rates. Medical facilities are average. Sports and games are given preference.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are really helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching is overall good. As the college comes under Delhi University, it follows the same curriculum. I think it makes the students industry ready. Semester exams are usually at a difficult level in the economic honors course, which is a tough and hard subject. The pass percentage is 30 percent.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to learn about the economy of our country. I wanted to see how decisions are taken in households and on a national level. How Do Countries Trade? I found economics to be really interesting while in school. There are usually no fests. The campus is not so big but it is good. Scholarships are offered to students. Satyawati College is the biggest auditorium in all Delhi University colleges.

You can pursue graduation and the college was good enough although placements were not so good.
Placements: Approximately, 20% of students got placements in the economics honors course. The average salary package offered was 2.5 LPA - 2.7 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 3.2 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 2.1 LPA. Companies like Paytm, Kutumb, and Sunlife placed the students. About 80% of students got internship programs from companies like Paytm, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities were available everywhere on campus. Labs were good enough with good gadgets. The classrooms were well infrastructured. The canteen was not so good with only a few varieties of food available. Medical facilities were good enough and above average. Games and sports were also good in the curriculum.
Faculty: Some teachers in our college were well qualified. Some professors were not so good. This course was very valuable in the market and one of the top-rated courses at DU. The exam level was difficult but you can do the course by studying on a regular basis. The passing percentage was 60%.
Other: I chose this course as I wanted to explore more about economics and mathematics. This course is purely technical and the second year is quite tough as it consists of lots of maths. This course had good things like it's very demanding in the market. This course can be improvised by providing some good notes by the professors and main exam-oriented questions must be done as well in the class. Fests were average and not so much enthusiastic.

Our college is best for reputated courses like honours courses but average for streams in B.A.
Placements: I am pursuing eco (h ) so for 1st-year students, there is no placement from our course. Access to me avg package for our course is 9 Lacs per annum. As I am a first-year student so I don't know about the recruiting companies. You should have above 7 CGPA on avg. Level internship. There are many opportunities for eco (h) students, especially for gov jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average, because no new modular furniture, and no smartboard. Very poor infra. Most of the time books are not available in the library also. The canteen food is average, but in terms of sports, our college is very excellent.
Faculty: The teachers were so helpful. And teaching quality is also good but not very good. Exams are average, having a good difficulty level for eco (h) especially. But college is good in terms of academics on the other hand teachers are too helpful. Passing in all semesters does not matter but passing with good marks matters soo its totally depends on you.
Other: I am interested in economics subject, so that's why I chose eco (h). College should improve their infrastructure. There are lots of events and you should enjoy the life at the college.

Everything is excellent in all aspects.
Placements: Around 10% of students are placed in our course. Seniors from our course get internships and companies. Banking, management, etc., are the roles offered in this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average, and all the facilities are excellent. Wi-Fi is good, canteen facilities are also good, and the library is good. Classrooms are well maintained. The ground is big and there are many games like football, basketball, badminton, etc.
Faculty: The teaching quality is excellent. Each teacher is well qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. They clear our every doubt. They are very frank with students. They understand each doubt well and help students to clear their doubts. This course curriculum is relevant and makes the student industry-ready. The exams will be in March.
Other: I opted for this course, because I am very much interested in economics and want to go in deep into this. Our course does not need any improvement. Fests, campus crowd, connectivity, etc., are there. Everything is average in this college.

Awesome college with great faculty.
Placements: Placement cell was not there in the college but still some students made an effort to call the companies to the campus. But after that no updates came so we applied outside the campus and after graduation only few students were places. No students has got the internship from college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our is quite good as compared to it was 5-6 years before. The year we entered the college I. e. 2012 the building was fully furnished with air conditioned libraries computer labs and desks were newly manufactured and sports ground was also given a new look.
Faculty: Faculty of college was great they brilliant knowledge and they all are intellectually superior as faculty in other colleges they helped a lot whenever we need any help. They explain each and every concept very deeply that makes our academics base strong.
Other: There were many fests and sports event on our college.

Dissatisfied because of the faculty members and placements issue in 2016.
Placements: There were no placements at the time of our batch. Nobody got placed. Everybody got disappointed. Even after doing such a good course nobody got placed as there was no placement cell or placement committee in our college not even in the morning shift.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was below average. Our college constructed a new building, and the classes were better than the old building classes. There were many facilities in the new building that was not there in the old one. The library of the college didn't had enough books, and also, there was no Wi-Fi in the college. The medical facilities were also very poor.
Faculty: Many of the teachers in the college were on the temporary basis. Most of the faculty members have never come to class give lectures, only a few were serious about teaching and had good knowledge about their respective subjects, others were neither knowledgeable, nor they wanted to help and teach the students.
Other: Most of the students got admission through reservation on a low percentage basis. The fest and many other events were conducted in the college.

Average college of DU with many politics.
Placements: Usually, no DU college is known for placements, but still, 3,4 companies came for placements. B.Com and economics students are allowed to sit for the interviews. Some of the companies were Times Of India, start-ups etc. Most of the companies offer roles in sales only.
Infrastructure: The college has an excellent infrastructure. We have a large ground for sports activities. We have one of the biggest auditoria in DU with sitting capacity of more than 800. This is a green campus. We have two buildings which are fully furnished. The fee is very nominal. We have RO water facilities, basketball courts, and a cricket ground.
Faculty: Regarding faulty, this college is great. This is only if you are more inclined towards your academics. Classes are not much regular as we use to have in school. Many times teachers too skip the classes. Economics and commerce faculty members are better than any other department in this college.
Other: This college is famous for politics at Delhi University and goons. You will find many students involved in politics. Societies are much active in this college you will never get bored, you 'll get a lot of opportunities to learn and groom yourself.

Being a student of Delhi university is a great feeling. Satisfied, but people avoid this college.
Placements: There is a placement cell which provides us regular updates regarding the internships. The highest stipend offered here was Rs. 10,000 to Rs., 15,000 per month given by a startup. A majority of students have received an internship from the college placement cell. We have our WhatsApp group in which we receive regular updates regarding the internships. Overall, the placement cell here is good.
Infrastructure: My college has a very good infrastructure. It has a fabulous auditorium and a seminar room. It also has a wide spaced a/c library consisting of thousands of books of the course outside the course. It also has a Wi-Fi facility across the college premises. The classrooms here are quite good. The canteen here is also normal, and the quality of the food is just good. There is also no hostel inside the college, but there are a lot of PG 's available besides the college. Here issues like water coolers which were not enough to serve us were present. Also, lecture rooms were not good here.
Faculty: The teachers here are very knowledgeable, experienced and helpful, but, they don't know the right way of teaching us. They don't interact with us. Only, the face to face teaching methods was used by our teachers. We didn't get any industrial exposure here normally. I found my teachers very boring and less influential.
Other: We have something every day in the college like debating workshop, competition, seminars, speaker session, etc. The campus crowd is also pretty good. We have an annual fest of a different society here. The north campus colleges also surround the campus here.
