B.Sc. in Culinary Studies - Batch of 2020

I am satisfied with teachers, infrastructure, but the administration is not good.
Placements: Placements offered were very low graded. They were not offered for the city students were living in. They were mostly in Mumbai central or Pune side with a very low wages. Students usually receive internships from college in different restaurants or properties but it was hectic. Around 12 hours a day at internships and travelling time was extra. The top recruiting companies were Hyatt, Oberoi, Taj Palace, etc. Almost 40% of students got internships from this college. During our internships, students got offered paid internships from an agency which created, as this college was not ready to give NOC to students for the internships if applied by that agency.
Infrastructure: The facilities were good. Some classrooms had air conditioning. Wi-Fi was available but not for student used. Library was available in this college. The mess was good when going for non-vegetarian thali apart from the other oily stuff. They do not let students go outside of the campus for food. I have never seen a medical room at the college but they do have safety kits. Sports and games were not available at this college. Hostel facility was good. The prices were standard.
Faculty: In this college, there were no mock tests. Teachers were qualified but some were rude. The curriculum was relevant and depends on how the student used it to their advantage. Some of the subjects were irrelevant and had not much use unless a student was interested since it was not related to culinary like research and event management. Around 75% of attendance was mandatory and they strictly follow it. The exams were easy. Apart from the teaching faculty member, the administrative faculty members were very slow. The government offices were more fast-paced than the DY Patil administration.
Other: I opted for this course as it was related to cooking, and I did not want anything else to interfere with my interests in cooking. The best thing about this course would be the menu planning from the teaching staff especially the food production and international cuisine. This college eventually holds events and brings up opportunities where students can participate like FIFA, participation in grand weddings of millionaires like Ambani family wedding. There were industrial trips every year to a foreign country but students had to bear the expenses.

My appreciation of my college years, nothing hatred, clear and my point of view.
Placements: The lowest package was like about 30k and the highest I heard was 1.6lacs something, And I don't know the exact numbers of students, but the round figure would maybe 35 from my batch. I personally know my friend, he got his role in secondary senior recruiter in a private company, but we are not friends anymore so I don't know much about him. And I didn't got intern at that time.
Infrastructure: It was having one of the most discipline facilities, although I was not required hostel facility but I did check it out of my friends, it was mesmerizing me and was fun to be with them in the hostel rooms, food was also below average but hygiene was maintained, and sports games we used to play rarely due to studies.
Faculty: Yes some the teachers were outstanding, they helped me alot, every lecture was knowledgeable easy to learn and explaining ability of them was top notched. Yes the course was mostly related from industrial topics for future reference. The pass percentage was min 35%. Quite difficult to maintain competition between students.
Other: I was just motivated by some of my seniors in my previous college about this course and heard a lot good benefits about it, so I didn't hesitate to try it out to make better career. Nothing to improve but I would say everything was fine I was a bit too dumb for this course I didn't take it seriously. All memories are nostalgic now of events and all.
