Very good infrastructure and experienced faculty.
Placements: The placements are not satisfactory, not many people get placed after completing this course. Most of us pursue higher studies in this field. The placement cell of the college is quite helpful and its representative always tries to help us in the best way possible.
Infrastructure:
Our classrooms have built in projectors and computers which help teachers to present the slides on the screens. The canteen is really affordable and the food is quite tasty, plus the ambience of the canteen is very soothing. The mess of the hostel is also quite nice.
Faculty: Our professors are highly experienced and very proficient in their field of work. Their classes are always exam oriented. Frequent assessment through class tests also made us exam ready from day 1. The professors are really friendly and helpful towards the students.

It has good faculty members and a campus with a clean and good environment.
Placements: The beginning salary package offered ranges from 3-4 LPA after graduation, as per my knowledge. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA. There are pretty good placements in this economy where graduation is a very common degree. The fee is very affordable, and teachers are accessible throughout the day. The placement cell is also active for any queries.
Infrastructure: It has a good campus with a good environment. It is kept clean with good management. There is no ragging, and students need to submit an anti-ragging form beforehand that clearly states rustication as punishment if found guilty of ragging. Seniors are also pretty helpful. Overall, the college has a very nice vibe.
Faculty: Our college has good faculty members and teachers. They are helpful with seamless communication, even via WhatsApp. Regular classes and attendance are encouraged by teachers. Full help is provided from their end to solve any queries of students. Class tests are also conducted every once in a while, along with presentation demos.

SCC - Strong academics with limited practical exposure.
Placements: We do not have a very good placement cell with offers, just one company I think, that is also very randomly done. Only 4 students from my class of 56 got it I think. Even they are not very interested. The interview process is not very well done.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good. We have AC rooms and good computer labs. Even the library has many books available. I did not use the hostel service but from what I heard from friends is that it is decent and average. The canteen is not very good as they have very limited options.
Faculty: Teachers are incredible. The course is relevant and difficult but interesting makes learning fun. Faculty members vary with some professors being highly knowledgeable and supportive, while others following rigid teaching techniques which did make their class not very fun.
Other: I chose economics because I enjoy studying it. It is very analytical, uses logic, and is interesting. We had our departmental fest Econverge.

Totally satisfied. Scottish Church College gave me my best 3 years of my student life.
Placements: Our batch consists of 50 students. There weren't any on campus jobs offered to the students. But Scottish Church was under Calcutta University. Students who like to do Masters can take admission there. There were many students who got internships like 25 out of 50.
Infrastructure: Our faculty members were so great and inspiring. Library was very good could get access to any book anytime. Classrooms were spacious and airy and size was big enough to accommodate 100 students. Quality of hostels were also appreciable. Food of canteen were very reasonable and tasty.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, qualified and student friendly. They obviously make students ready for whatever they might face in the future. Sem exams were difficult but if you study hard and follow your teacher's teachings you can Crack the exams easily. Pass percentage is 40 out of 100 .
Other: I chose this course because I had keen interest in economics policies and agendas taken up by the Indian government. I don't want my college to change. It is best as it is.

Good infrastructure and facilities, average placements, quality education.
Placements: In economics courses there are no such good placements at undergraduate levels because most students either opt for higher studies or government jobs. But still, fee banks visit for placements with a salary starting at 3LPA. Mostly there are also offers for internships.
Infrastructure: There is a library where you can get Wi-Fi and almost every reference book. Even though there is no free internet throughout the college in some places, there is good internet. The hostel is good, and the canteen also provides good food at a more or less suitable rate.
Faculty: The economics faculty of Scottish church college is top-notch, with highly experienced professors. The curriculum is also competitively aligned, which keeps the students at an advantage. Teachers are helpful. In 3 years, there are six semesters with a pass percentage of 35%.
Other: Scottish church college is a heritage. Situated in North Kolkata, the college and the surrounding area are very student-friendly, with various shops providing anything you need and the college street just a few minutes away. Before the pandemic, the college had a fest named Caledonia which they might start again. It also provides a gymnasium with modernized instruments. The college playground is situated a few distances away from the college, where different recreational activities like sports day are held. The college hosts a lot of activities like debates and other competitions.
