A university where quality education meets low fees and excellent faculty.

Placements: You can sit for placements only after completing a Master's from this department. The highest placement this year was 16.45 lacs, and the average was 10.4 lacs. Many renowned companies hire directly from this department, like Deloitte, HSBC, Citibank, KPMG, and TCS.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not that good compared to private universities. But keeping in mind the fees you pay, it's average. The toilets remain mostly unclean, and the Wi-Fi is inconsistent. The classrooms in our department are good, with air conditioning. There are two computer labs and a departmental library.

Faculty: The faculty is excellent; each member is renowned and the best in their respective field. They are very helpful, and the Ph.D. scholars also help when you face difficulties. The course is rigorous but the best in the whole state. You need to sit for a 10-mark exam every Monday, and there are two semester exams conducted every year.

It provides the best teachers, good infrastructure, and environment.

Placements: There are almost 83 students in our class. I have got this course at a minimum amount. It provides good placements opportunities. The regular events and interactions make students eligible to represent themselves before any company as it gets added up to students' CV.

Infrastructure: Students have enough space and buildings in our college. It provides free Wi-Fi with 50 Mbps speed, and the place is very peaceful. Students can find almost any book in the central, and in the departmental library as well. The quality of food offered in canteens are good.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful in this college. Students do not need to attend extra tuition classes, because the faculty members are enough. They provide students with quality education with a standardized syllabus. The semester exams are difficult, but it is totally based on notes.

Other: Economics provides me with better future opportunities and increases my career scope.

Our college is satisfactory and has a rigorous curriculum.

Placements: The economics course at Jadavpur University has the highest returns for placements. After BA, students pursue higher studies, but if they want a job, the course equips them with all skills that may be needed. For the MA economics, the highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 7 LPA, which is pretty decent for West Bengal. Top recruiters are Citi Bank and HSBC. Students have a great academic record and even got placed in top universities such as DSE, ISI, IGIDR, IIM, LSE, etc.

Infrastructure: The department is equipped with a resourceful departmental library, and the classrooms are large, airy and air-conditioned. Wi-Fi is available on the entire campus. There are several canteens, which have a variety of food available at reasonable prices. I didn't stay in the hostel, but I heard that it is pretty decent compared to the fee charged, i.e., Rs. 500 per month only.

Faculty: All professors are esteemed and known personalities in economics. The teaching quality varies with professors, ranging from poor to great. Internal and semester exams are undoubtedly the toughest among all comparable courses, and the pass percentage is about 60%. The course curriculum is more inclined towards theory and research than the technological aspects.

Other: Jadavpur University offers the best campus life and exposure. Students here explore different opportunities apart from academics. The college administration is very lagged and needs immediate improvement.

My review of Jadavpur University .

Placements: 95% of students were placed in my course the highest package offered was 85LPA and the lowest was 11LPA top five recruiters were GOOGLE, HSBC, tata steel, microsoft and samsung 913 students were placed over 1000 students were recruited about 35 students received offers .

Infrastructure: There are hostel guest house library day care centre health centre counselling these facilities are available and many more. There are 13 hostels the quality of food is moderate in hostel mess and canteen if we get sick medical facilities are also available we can play sports and games too in our spare time .

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable their teaching qualities were excellent the course curriculum is very much relevant and it makes the students industry ready the semester exams are difficult but the teachers always made sure that we fetch good marks that? S how we were prepared.

Other: I chose this course because I have a very keen interest in B.A. I don't any improvements are needed as because its perfect. The social life in Jadavpur University is the best there are a lost of fests which are held yearly .

Placements: Around 8 out of 10 students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4.8 LPA. Our college provides internships to students. Every year, around 20 students get placed in our college.

Infrastructure: Hostels are good. A variety of food is served in the canteen. Wi-Fi service is up to the mark and free for everyone. The campus is open to everyone.

Faculty: Teachers are friendly, lenient, and highly qualified. Semester exams are a bit difficult. They will guide you like their own children. Their teaching methods are excellent.

Other: The campus environment is good.
