Overall, a well-balanced college for the B.Com.

Placements: At our college, 38% of students get placed in B.Com. courses. The college did not have a highly developed placement cell, but it was actively working on placements. The average package offered at our college was 3-5 LPA. The top recruiting companies visiting our college were Infosys, IBM, HDFC, Bajaj Finance, etc. The top roles offered were accountants, HR, process associates, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good enough for our course. The facilities at our college were good enough. Wi-Fi, labs, library, canteen, etc. Facilities were available at our college for the students. Hostel facilities were also given to the students at our college. Sports and other necessary facilities were also provided at our college.

Faculty: The faculty of this college were highly qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers at our college were helpful and supportive of the students. This course curriculum we followed in college was relevant. It was making the students industry-ready. Exams were not that hard to pass in this college.

Great faculty and spacious campus, but slightly disappointed with the placements.

Placements: Placements were around 30–50%, depending on academic performance and market conditions. The highest package was around 3–5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant. Around 50–70% of students got internships. The top roles offered were data analyst, support engineer, and accounts manager.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure was great. Campus was spacious. It had a mix of modern and old classrooms. There was no Wi-Fi, but the library offered a wide variety of books and enough space for studying. Hostel accommodation, mess food, and canteen facilities were quite good. Medical facilities were also good. Sports and games events were conducted regularly.

Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, with a friendly teaching approach. Students could approach them with doubts anytime. The course curriculum was relevant, but it did not make students completely industry-ready. Semester exams were quite difficult. But students who attended classes regularly and maintained notes were able to pass. Faculty members were great.

Other: I chose this course because I loved working with taxes. The best thing was that the course felt effortless to study. The practical aspects could have been improved. Events and fests were top-notch. Along with spacious, green campus prevented overcrowding. Scholarships and extracurricular activities were also excellent.

Awesome infrastructure and faculty, but placement is disappointing.

Placements: No one in our B.Com batch got placed in any of the companies. But other courses may get placed. There's no such placement cell active in this college. Though the college has internship opportunities for students in various fields, extra-curricular activities are also arranged by the college every few months.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is awesome. The building is massive and old but very attractive; many foreigners come to see this Serampore because it’s the oldest running college in India. The college has a huge library and labs, with computer labs having approximately 100 computers.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, and the syllabus and curriculum are also excellent; you just need to focus on the syllabus, and you can score well in the exam. The exams are of moderate difficulty. The pass percentage depends, but it is approximately 70-80%. Students fail because of their laziness; otherwise, the exams are not so difficult.

Other: It's a government college, so it's worth the money. The fees are very reasonable, and the infrastructure and faculty you get at this price are worth it.
