Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Batch of 2022
4.2
The college is very good and affordable, and it is recommendable.
Placements: Placements are very good in SIMCA. Almost 80% of students got placed. The average salary package is 5 LPA, and the highest package is 15 LPA. For the 2019 batch, the lowest package is 3 LPA. CPC and TPC provide very good placements in every Sinhgad College.
Infrastructure: The college and hotel infrastructure is pretty good. They have a clean and eco-friendly environment. Hostels are also good, and water supply and electricity are available anytime. The mess is not good. Overall, it is a decent college, and the hostel is good. The fee is not much high compared to other colleges in Pune.
Faculty: All the teaching staff are highly qualified and very helpful. They are friendly. They solve every student's issues. They provide possible solutions to every student's problem. The teaching quality is quite good. The college arranges a guest lecture every Saturday.
Other: I want to learn and experience management studies, that's why I chose MBA.

Review of SIMCA - Sinhgad Institute of Management and Computer Application.
Placements: In the year 2020, I passed out from this college. I have suffered a lot in this college. Our college's non-teaching staff are very abusive, especially two accountants and public relations officer. Registrar tries to influence you with his sweet words, but do not get in their trap. Our college has annoyed me very much. Forget about placements, it is only a dream, which will never come true.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is old. There are black spots and cracks on the college buildings. The hostel has bunk beds, individual table racks, and chairs for every student in every room. Still, students disturb each other, and the tube lights in the corridor are broken, but no one bothers about it. MBA and Engineering students must have separate hostels or floors, but all are together. Food is provided two times a day in the mess, like 11 am, and 8 pm or 9 pm. Food quality is the best.
Faculty: Our college is affiliated with University of Pune, but they follow their own curriculum. They don't follow the university Curriculum. During my academic year, the professors instead of teaching the subject, they teach something else about politics. This college is a politician's college.
Other: I am from the finance branch, and I want to recover the money spent on this institute in the form of fees. I was asking for a transfer certificate from this institute, but they refused to give me.

The overall placement is low, but the faculty members and infrastructure facilities are good.
Placements: Overall, the placement is good. Most of the IT companies came for the marketing department, and their criteria for the placement is high. Companies like Capgemini, FMCG and retail companies visit the college, and they are equally good with the companies like Marico, ITC, Hindustan Unilever, etc. The minimum salary package is 1.8 LPA, the maximum is 4.2 LPA, and the average is 2.5 LPA, for my batch to date. Last year, the average package is around 2 LPA. About the internship, it is overall good, but most of the companies who visit the college are providing financial services and insurance, and the average stipend was around Rs.5,000. We have a placement cell, and it's useful.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure if good. Wi-Fi, labs, library, and medical facilities, etc., are available on the campus. Also, the college conducts sports and games. Classrooms are good with facilities like projector and computers. The food quality is good. There are separate hostels for girls and boys provided in the campus. There are no infrastructure issues in the college.
Faculty: The faculty members are good in their respective roles. The teaching method is also good, computer, projectors are used as teaching methods. Live case studies are used for the teaching. The college conducts student training programme, quantitative aptitude test, guest lectures, etc. The college conducts industry visit to get actual industry knowledge. The course curriculum is helpful to get exposure in the industry.
Other: The institute also conducts events like Karundak, sports, inter-college competition, etc.

Overall, a good college with the average placements, good infrastructure and good faculty.
Placements: To be very precise, the placements during the 2011-13 batch were not to the mark. However, I feel 50% of the students got placed which is also a good number though. The senior batch placements were better as compared to ours. I hope the % is increased in the recent times. 5-6 lacs was the bracket for the highest salary offered, 1-2 lacs was the lowest. The average should be around 2.5 lacs. Almost 50% of the students got the internship through college, rest got by themselves. Most of the students did not get any stipend. The placement cell needs to be improved with veteran people having good connects in the industry.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is good. Labs are okay, the library facility is good, and the college has this good habit of maintaining library sessions. The college seems to lack the sports section. The canteen is very good for those who opt to stay in the hostel, and the food nearby is good as well, so overall, the college is well-equipped with the needy things nearby.
Faculty: The faculty in SIMCA that time were good qualified veterans and have been very co-operative in almost all the subjects that were taught. The teaching methods were practical based which really broadened the horizons of the students and what is expected from an MBA. The college really did well in the department.

The college is not very good as well as not very bad.
Placements: The placement cell is very good in our college. Around 80% of students are placed last year. The placements in the college is good for marketing, specialisation and HR Specialisation. The placement for finance students is not very good. The average salary offered is about 3 lakhs per annum. Almost all the students got internships from the college. The average stipend is about 7000-8000 per month.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure in the college was good. The Wi-Fi facility, computer labs, library, medical facilities are available in the college. The classrooms are very good, and the canteen was good to lunch. The hostel rooms are not very good. The quality of the labs are not very good, but at the same time, they are not bad. The sports facility is not available on the campus.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is very good. They are helpful to the students. The faculty was qualified, deep in knowledge & helpful in nature. The course curriculum is very useful. The faculty to student ratio is about 1:1. We also get industrial exposure. The faculty used the practical method to teach the students.

Satisfied because of the docterate faculty, and good placements.
Placements: Mostly 80 to 85% of the students were placed. The highest salary offered was 10 LPA, and the lowest offered was 2.5 LPA. The companies for the placement like Deloitte, ITC, Tech Mahendra and much more. 20% of the students got an internship from the college, and I think the highest stipend was around 10K to 15K. We organised job fair for all the students, in that many companies came and hired too many students.
Infrastructure: We got some facilities from the college like the Wi-Fi, the classroom, the library, sports and games, etc. We have private hostels and the canteens, but I don't know the quality of food available in the canteen. I faced some small issues related to the infrastructure like Wi-Fi connectivity.
Faculty: The faculty members were great, starting from the director to the teacher, they are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Two type of teaching methods were used, one is practical, and the other is theoretical. I got an industry exposure. Depends on which course we choose, I choose MBA because I want to start my venture.

Good infrastructure, good canteens, helpful and kind faculty members, and great industry exposures.
Placements: Placements for marketing, finance and HR department are very good. For operations, there are some companies which offer projects but they are not many in number. For IT and IB there are very few companies. Most of the students get internship and PPO for the marketing department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. There is a huge parking area. 2 canteens are present. The hostels are very clean and spacious. Wi-Fi facility is provided. The computer labs are well-equipped. The classrooms have projectors, systems and good provision for siting. There is no ground for sports present on the same campus, it is on the other campus.
Faculty: The teachers are highly educated and are very down to earth which helps the students to communicate effectively. Industrial visits are taken, so it helps in industrial exposure. Many external faculty members are invited for seminars. Various guest lectures are arranged and many competitions are held. The teaching is done with the help of PPTs and tests.

My experience with SIMCA from 2012 to 2014.
Placements: The college made a lot of efforts on placement activity. However, the problem here is that they have a centralised placement mechanism, where all Sinhgad College MBA students come together. The college staff is biased and favors their students. You have very limited companies to choose between because same type of companies come to the campus and there is no diversified list. I honestly recommend for you to go to some other institute other than Sinhgad.
Infrastructure: Initially, the campus was very good. However, after 1 year, they changed the campus completely and shifted the entire college to another place. Now the campus has only 2 floors and a hospital like structure. You won't feel like sitting in the Management Institute. It is like a municipal college. Don't even think of spending 1.5 lakh per year on this institute.
Faculty: For the 2014 batch, the faculty was really awesome and very experienced. Two years back, the college changed its payment structure for the teaching faculty. So, almost 90% staff has left the college. Now all new teachers are appointed. So there is not point in joining this B-school and paying the big fat fee.
Other: If you think of personality development and management skills improvement through MBA, please go for a reputed institute because Sinhgad's education quality has decreased a lot. You may try other options in other cities as well like Mumbai and Bangalore.
