Great campus, good placements, supportive faculty members, and worth the investment.
Placements: Around 60–70 percent of students get placed every year in reputed companies. The highest package goes up to 15 LPA, the average is around 4 LPA–5 LPA, and the lowest is about 2.5 LPA. Top recruiters include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, IBM, Bosch, and Dell. Many students also get internships in companies like Bosch, Infosys, and startups during their course. The most offered roles are software developer, analyst, and system engineer.
Infrastructure: College has a well-maintained campus with greenery. It provides Wi-Fi across the campus. Classrooms are spacious with smart boards and projectors. Labs are fully equipped with modern instruments for practical learning. The library is big, with many reference books, e-books, and journals. Hostel facilities are good. Along with clean rooms, decent security, and 24/7 water and electricity. Mess food is average, but hygienic. There are multiple food options in the canteen. Sports facilities for cricket, football, basketball, and indoor games. Medical facilities with an on-campus hospital are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable, with many holding PhDs. Teaching quality is good, featuring practical-oriented sessions and interactive classes. The curriculum is VTU-based, which is relevant but slightly theoretical, although some industry-related electives are offered. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and students who attend classes regularly can pass without much difficulty. The pass percentage is high, around 80–90 percent for most branches.
Other: Considering facilities, campus environment, placements, and overall learning experience, the fee structure is reasonable compared to other engineering colleges in Bangalore. Scholarships are for meritorious and reserved category students. Return on investment is good due to decent placements. Campus life is vibrant and enjoyable. Various cultural fests such as Kalanjali and Aisiri, along with technical events. Many student clubs and societies for technical, cultural, and sports activities are there. Student is diverse and friendly, with students from different states. The college environment is safe and disciplined. Connectivity to the city is convenient.

It has a good environment for study purposes. It has a large playing group on campus.
Placements: Our college has 70% of placements. The lowest package is 5 LPA and the highest package is 20 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Microsoft, Amazon, HP, Mu Sigma, Caterpillar, Morgan Stanley, Samsung, Pegasystems, Maveric, Fidelity, DE Shaw, Cisco and AIG.
Infrastructure: Our college has excellent infrastructure. The whole campus is covered by trees (full of greenery). It has a very large and spacious library with more facilities like a meeting hall for both faculty members and students. Wi-Fi is available in the library. Classrooms are big and have better ventilation, comfortable benches, and distilled water. There is a washroom facility for both girls and boys on each floor. The hostel is the best in terms of food and other facilities like water and drinking water. It is budget-friendly.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful to students. They are knowledgeable and well-qualified. They are available to solve our doubts. They are trying to cover all the syllabus. We are still in the first year so I don't know more about the industry. During internals, they prepare tricky question papers and train us for university exams. The pass percentage is 85-90%. Some faculty members completed their PhD and some are assistant professors.
Other: I belong to the department of data science. I chose this branch because I am interested in software engineering. There are many events. Competitions like hackathons, etc., are held every week.

Sir MVIT is a decent college with a huge campus, good placements but has great potential to improve.
Placements: According to the college and its website, around 90% of students get placed. The average package offered is around 5 to 6 LPA, and the highest packages include 30+ LPA and 16+ LPA from companies like Media.net and Amazon. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Accenture, L&T, Wipro, Cognizant, Mindtree, etc. My course is CSE IoT, and I belong to the first-ever batch. According to faculty, we will be seated along with the CSE branches for placement. Internships are no longer provided as of the 2022 scheme, we will only have one internship/training program during our final 8th semester.
Infrastructure: The campus size is huge and filled with greenery, but the infrastructure can be improved significantly. All classrooms are equipped with projectors, and we have decent labs and auditoriums. A new library was built a year ago, which claims to have top amenities, but full access to students has yet to be given. As I am a day scholar, I don't have much idea about the hostel situation, but from what I've heard from my friends, the rooms and other amenities are average, while the mess food is below average.
Faculty: The course curriculum of VTU is outdated and mainly focused on theoretical knowledge rather than practical skills and applications. I doubt if this will make me industry-ready. The majority faculty are average and don't focus much on students' understanding, which is the case in many other colleges. However, there are a few exceptions who really put in effort and have knowledge about the subject. The semester exams of VTU are rather hard, and the evaluation process is not known to be the fairest.
Other: I am allotted this college through the KCET counseling process, where students have to provide a list of preferred colleges/courses. I wish that the curriculum improved a lot and focused on skills rather than the same old theory syllabus. The campus life, including fests and extracurricular activities, could also be improved a great deal when compared to other colleges.

One can join SIRMVIT without a second thought. You'll not regret it.
Placements: The seniors of our passed-out batch claimed that the placements for the 2024-2025 batch are amazing. We saw a good number of companies visiting our campus. Overall, many students got placed in tech and non-tech companies. Placement packages annually are also a decent.
Infrastructure: Hostel facility is the best when it's about food, it is healthy and good. Wi-Fi is available on campus for every block. Labs are good and the conducting of labs are above average. Classrooms are very spacious and the campus is neat and clean with lush green environment.
Faculty: Good teaching and it depends on faculty members. But overall it's a great experience. You can enjoy the campus life since it's very spacious and full of nature. The only drawback is that there's no good transportation if you opt college bus then it's the best. Else you'll have to walk for 1km to reach the bus stop. MVIT is the best.
Other: Sir MVIT has been and is always the best college one can look for. No regret in joining my college.

It's a good college! Satisfied with my department faculty members. Infrastructure is average.
Placements: About 75% of students got placed. The highest package offered is 35 LPA, and the average is around 6-7 LPA. The lowest offered was 4 LPA. Infosys, Wipro, Nokia, and a few others visited our college. The salary package offered by Kickdrum was 34 LPA. Our college provides two offer letters.
Infrastructure: The infra is average. It's quite old. Labs are equipped with Wi-Fi facilities and the library is provided with free books for reference. Hostels are average, the food quality isn't up to the mark. The sports club is active, and the college provides good facilities for indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are very helpful and well-qualified. They possess good knowledge but the teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is quite outdated. It's preferred to gain experience by internships. Semester exams are easy! Referring to model papers and previous year papers would do good.
Other: I chose the course because of HOD, HG Nagendra, who is well-qualified and one of the best professors. He and a few other teachers are really helpful in the department. There is a department fest in college every year, and the department has good connectivity. The labs are always open for students.
