Yes, aspirants can get into RNS Institute of Technology without JEE. Aspirants who wish to get admission in BE can also apply with COMEDK or KCET score. In case candidates wishes to take admission in other courses offered by the institute, they do not require JEE Main score. The selection for MBA is based on Karnataka PGCET, KAMT, CMAT or MAT score.
For MBA course admission, the RNS Institute of Technology accept KMAT, CMAT, MAT or Karnataka PGCET scores. Candidates with a valid score in either of these entrance examinations can apply. The cutoff marks shall vary depending upon the test score the candidate is applying with. Besides, aspirants should also complete graduation with at least 50% aggregate for admission in MBA programme.
The KMAT structure has remained unchanged since the past few years. KMAT exam will have 120 multiple-choice questions to be solved in 120 minutes. There is no negative marking in the KMAT exam and no marks will be deducted for questions not attempted. There will be three sections in the KMAT question paper, i.e. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. Each section of the KMAT question paper will have 40 multiple choice questions which will have four options each. One mark will be awarded to the candidates for each correct answer. The exam will be conducted in the remote-proctored mode. Before 2020, the exam was conducted in the paper-based test mode. But since the COVID-19 pandemic, the authorities changed the exam mode to internet-based test mode.
RNS Institute of Technology MBA Admission 2026
RNS Institute of Technology MBA is a two-year PG programme, which is offered in a full-time mode. Candidates shall be allowed a maximum of four years (8 semesters) of duration to be eligible for the award of MBA degree. The syllabus of MBA is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), recognised by the Government of Karnataka and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
