Supportive faculty members and decent campus life.
Placements: I belong to CSE-data science branch under the VTU scheme. Around 70% of students from our senior batch got placed through campus drives. The highest package touched around 26 LPA, and the average package is 5 LPA while the lowest is 3LPA in our batch. Many students got internships in startups and MNCs.
Infrastructure: Our department has modern classrooms with projectors, Wi-Fi, and well-equipped computers and labs that support hands-on learning for coding and projects. Library is vast with physical and digital resources. Hostel has decent rooms and very good facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, approachable, and supportive. Curriculum is industry relevant with a focus on AI-ML. Exams are moderately tough but pass percentile is high. Teachers are supportive of publishing research papers and help with real-time project building.
Other: It needs improvement in mess food and Wi-Fi.

Excellent faculty. Modern infrastructure and strong placement opportunities.
Placements: I belong to the 2026 passing-out batch of B. Teach batches in computer science and data science engineering. Around 85% of students from our course are placed. The highest package offered was 18 LPA, the lowest was 4 LPA, and the average package stood around 7 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Amazon, and Wipro. Nearly 70% of students received internships from companies like TCS and Deloitte. The most common roles offered were software developer, data analyst, and associate engineer.
Infrastructure: Our department has well-equipped computer labs with high-speed internet, smart classrooms, and access to a rich library with both physical and digital resources. The campus offers free Wi-Fi, project labs, and seminar halls for technical events. Hostel facilities include spacious rooms, clean washrooms, and regular maintenance. The mess provides hygienic and nutritious food with multiple menu options, and the canteen offers a variety of snacks and beverages. Medical facilities with 24/7 first aid are available along with tie-ups for hospital care. Sports facilities include indoor games, outdoor fields, and gym access for students.
Faculty: The college has an industry-relevant curriculum and modern infrastructure with well-equipped labs. Strong placements and internships with top companies, good hostel and mess facilities, and a high pass percentage. The faculty in our department are highly qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable, often integrating real-world examples into teaching. The curriculum is regularly updated with industry-relevant subjects, practical labs, and projects that prepare students for professional roles. Semester exams are moderately challenging, focusing on both theoretical understanding and practical application, with an overall pass percentage of around 90%.

B.E. in Information Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027

It has average placements, average ROI, and average infrastructure.
Placements: Placements percentage is close to average and about 70% of students placed each year. The highest package is 23 LPA which is offered in 2021 and that too off-campus. The average package is 4 LPA. Some companies have a bond. Not many good companies visit here and most service-based companies visit the college for placements. Even some companies pose irrelevant restrictions to hiring students like 9 or above CGPA or 90% in 10th & PUC. There are not many internship opportunities from the college side, and most are off-campus. Companies for internships are small and service-based. It might even charge for that.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure is average. Classrooms are good and spacious. Labs have many systems to accommodate any number of students but some of them do not have the Wi-Fi facility. The library is very good and spacious with many books. We can also borrow books for 15 days. Timings are from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM Monday to Saturday. The hostel is close to excellent and better than DSCE, MSRIT, and RVCE hostels. They are very well-maintained with 2 and 3-sharing rooms. Its closing time is 9 PM with not many restrictions. The mess food is above average with both North and South Indian food.
Faculty: Professors are average but some are very well-trained. The teaching quality is average and is not very helpful. The course curriculum followed is kind of outdated, traditional, and not helpful. Semester exams are not difficult and we can easily score well. We have 3 internal assessments and then the end-semester exams. The pass percentage is close to 95% for the autonomous batch.
Other: The college is so academically oriented and attendance is everything here. Students should maintain 85% of attendance. There is not much exposure for the industry and no hackathons even once a year. One good thing is that student intake is less and it is 240 per branch, which makes less competition on campus. Only one basketball court is available. It has very large cricket and football grounds. Badminton courts and TT tables are available in the auditorium and not everyone can access them. There are not many fests, events, and sports events. Campus infrastructure is average and campus life is not good.

The placements are good, and referrals are mainly for placements.
Placements: 90% students were placed. The highest package is 26 to 30 LPA. The lowest package is 3 to 5 LPA. Top Recruiting companies are SAP, Cognizant, LMindTree. Internship is often interview based. Top roles can be associate product engineer. Many students need to search for internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good and appreciable. The infrastructure is also good. The Wi-Fi is comparatively slow as many others use it at the same time. The facilities in the hostel are somehow better compared to others. The food is also good to eat.
Faculty: Teachers are good, but self study is best in my opinion. The course curriculum covers all branches in the foundation. We can also complete some NPTEL courses. Teachers are really helpful if you are interested in learning. The semester exams are somewhat difficult, depending on the various teachers.

About SJBIT college of engineering.
Placements: I am from the college SJB Institute of Technology. Almost 90% of students are placed in college. The recruiting process is good, and with the good mentorship most of the students also get internship opportunities and work as interns at different companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the course is good with a good quality of classroom but as a hosteller I can say that the hostel is not good. There are many problems and the response is not so good at the hostel, again and again the problems arrises. I don't suggest hostel of SJBIT but I suggest the college.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. Every faculty member helps in every step of the curriculum. Teaching and non-teaching staffs are good but the administration doesn't provide exam hall tickets until you clear your course fee. Even during the exams they make us roam.

Not the best but a good college.
Placements: There were sixty students in our class, and among them, none got placed because we didn’t receive any placement opportunities due to corona. But yes, the previous batches and current batch students are getting placed, and that too in fewer numbers.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course or department were quickly accessible and available all the time. The canteen food was well maintained and hygienic. I have no idea about games or sports because we were not taken out to play, and I have no idea about the hostel as I wasn’t a hostel student.
Faculty: Teaching used to be dependent on the teachers, and the quality was good itself. Extracurricular activities often used to take place, but there were no industrial visits for our batch. Exams were quite easy and could be passed if studied one day before the exam.
Other: I chose MBA to have a Master's Degree. Events, fests, and scholarships are always taken care of. An average college.
