Review of Smt. Nagarathnamma College of Nursing.
Placements: There are 116 students in my batch. Almost every batch includes more than 100 students. The placement system in the college is not sufficient. They are giving training based on job opportunities. Other than that, no placement is offered. After the completion of the course, they give internship programmes in quality hospitals.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is overall good. They provide an eco-friendly campus environment. The campus is surrounded by high-speed Wi-Fi facility. Separate labs are available for separate subjects. Classrooms are fully digital and spacious. The library includes a wide range of books. The college hostel is luxurious and clean. The hostel mess provides quality food with non-veg meals three days a week.
Faculty: Teachers are well-trained and educated with quality knowledge. They help students attain good success in their career. The curriculum is makes based on students' career goals. It makes them professionals. The semester exams are a little difficult. The pass percentage is 75%.

Where the world comes to learn.
Placements: There are 60-90 students in each batch of B.Sc. Nursing. It is a course of four years. The highest package is around 7-8 lakhs (excluding clinical fees) per year. The lowest package is 40,000 per month (state children). The average package is 12-13 lakhs, including all fees. Companies like Manipal, Apollo, Sparsh, and ESIC recruit here. The college recently tied up with Germany and the UK for international campus recruitment. Top roles include staff nurse and matron.
Infrastructure: The nursing department is a little backward compared to the main campus of Acharya, which students don't feel good about. But there is a positive side: we are completely separate from the main campus, so we always stay focused on our studies. Teachers are very strict. We have a library, labs (nutrition, nursing foundation, management, OBG, community, MSN), and seven classrooms (excluding practical classrooms). Wi-Fi is available and accessible. The hostel offers 4-sharing and 2-sharing rooms. Canteen food, laundry, and basic medical facilities are available. There is also a psychological center for consultations. For sports and games, we have a turf, basketball court, swimming pool, cafeteria, food court, auditorium, and playground.
Faculty: All teachers are qualified. The majority have PhDs/M.Sc. degrees and clinical experience of more than ten years. Most teachers have their own research papers and publications. The course curriculum is relevant and includes the most difficult question patterns. Guards are very strict during exams, so you can't cheat or even talk to your friends. Classes are held from 9 am to 4 pm regularly (Saturday till 1 pm, Sunday no class). Before exams, classes are increased to 4-5 regularly. They give one month of study leave before exams. Teachers are always strict about practical exams and student cleanliness: no nails, no colored hair or messy hair, black shoes, formal dress (uniform), no eyeliner, no nail paint. Speaking in English is mandatory. Professional behavior with teachers and a neat, pressed uniform are also required. They also teach us soft skills for better communication and lead us to multiple job-offering apps. They prepare us well to communicate confidently with anyone. They also take classes on interview preparation, including how to sit and answer questions—basically, all the basics and details. Teachers are very strict about your study, attendance, marks, and behavior in college with your classmates, yet very friendly for any kind of problem. They also help and encourage us to participate in all the cultural fests and competitions. The pass percentage is 60%.
Other: I was always focused on a medical course, specifically nursing. In Bangalore, I felt this course fee in this college was affordable for my family. It has a pretty good rating for infrastructure and management. The most hyped event of our college is Habba. All Bangaloreans know about it. But there are many more, like ethnic day, Vastra, freshers' week, Onam, and many more. The campus crowd is really large and gives a party vibe on any occasion or festival. The decoration and infrastructure make it look like a college in London, like a costly one. But I would like to say the course fees are pretty affordable, and if you want to achieve a successful future, you can definitely choose this college. Study loans and scholarships are also available.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty members, placements, and infrastructure.
Placements: Almost 90 percent of students are getting jobs from the campus placement drive. The package offered is from 3-6 Lakhs per annum. A number of opportunities are provided to students to get placed in different companies with good profiles.
Infrastructure: The hostel has a well-built and beautiful infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available. Lab and library are available for students. A number of food joints are there for students to enjoy good food. Classrooms are well-equipped with good furniture and facilities.
Faculty: The exams are conducted yearly. The teachers help students in many ways. Teachers are very helpful. All the professors are well experienced, easily approachable, and have good nature.
Other: Many events are organized by the college on the campus and they are fun.

The future of MSc Nursing is promising, driven by the growing demand for advanced healthcare services and specialised nursing roles. As healthcare becomes increasingly complex, the need for highly trained nurses with expertise in areas like critical care, community health, and nursing education is on the rise.

Q:   Is MSc Nursing a good career?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

Yes, because a postgraduate degree in Nursing allows a nurse to work in multispeciality hospitals, private or government healthcare units, academic or research institutes, nursing homes, old-age homes, and the armed services. They can become a nursing educator, staff nurse, nurse assistant, or nursing supervisor.

With many new specialisation streams emerging, there is a demand for qualified nurses who can specialise in these new fields and even teach other students. In India and around the world, there is an ongoing lack of skilled nurses. Because of their devotion and compassionate and empathetic character, Indian nurses are always in high demand in other nations.

The highest lucrative nursing position bearer is the Senior Staff Nurse.
