SGGSCC - A solid choice for commerce students.
Placements: The college provides students with excellent placement opportunities. The highest packages often cross the 20–25 LPA mark. The average packages offered here lie between 6–8 LPA. Recruiters here include the Big 4—KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, and EY—and other prestigious companies like Zomato, Boast, Ferns N Petals, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure offered here really surprised me on the first day. The college spans 10 acres of land. Infrastructure includes a fully AC campus. It has a well stocked library, vibrant common spaces for hanging out during breaks, & fully functional labs. The campus is also very neat and clean.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very friendly and highly qualified. Many hold a Ph.D. in their respective subjects. They are very supportive & approachable. This makes transition from school to college much easier. Their interactive teaching style keeps the students engaged in the lectures.

Good college with supportive faculty, decent placements, excellent infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: More than 80 percent of the students got placed from my course. The highest package offered is 19 LPA for my course. The average package is 8 LPA-10 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Brain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, and D. E. Shaw & Company.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are well maintained, including air-conditioned classrooms and clean restrooms on every floor. Wi-Fi is also available in most of the classes. Computer labs for all different courses are provided. Sports and games include cricket, football, and volleyball ground at the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very friendly. The curriculum taught in the classes is updated according to the latest education policy, therefore providing hands-on practical application of subjects with theoretical knowledge. Exams are conducted in a fair manner.

I am really content with my college and course, i.e., B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics.
Placements: The highest package offered was 26.8 LPA. The average package was 5.85 LPA. 380+ offer letters were rolled out. Some prominent recruiters of SGGSCC include D. E. Shaw, Bain & Company, BCG, EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, Grant Thornton, and TresVista. Top roles include consulting, finance, operations, etc.
Infrastructure: The library offers a lot of academic books and online resources. These are beneficial for the students. Classrooms are spacious. They have good Wi-Fi connectivity. Students can choose multiple societies according to their interests. They can also gain exposure to corporate and finance life.
Faculty: As we are in the first semester itself, we don't know how difficult the semester exams are in college. Our faculty is really experienced and helpful. They make sure we score a great CGPA in our exams. The curriculum is up to date. It is relevant to today's world.
Other: I chose this course because, from the very beginning of Class 11, I have been really interested in Economics. I am interested in how financial decisions impact the growth of a business. This course allows me to explore these fields. The campus crowd is great. Most of them are friendly & generous.

Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Placements at SGGSCC are quite impressive, especially for a few top courses. Around 70–80% of students who sit for placements secure a job. The average package generally hovers around 5–6 LPA. Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, and Bain & Company visit campus regularly. The Placement Cell is active. It also helps students grab good internship opportunities and articleships during their second and third years. Most roles are in auditing, business analysis, and financial accounting.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The entire college is air-conditioned. It makes it comfortable, especially during peak summer months. It has a three-storey library with a focused environment for studying. There is a beautiful, serene Gurudwara right inside the campus. It also has an excellent hostel facility for girls.
Faculty: Faculty is good. Most professors are experienced and explain concepts in an easy way. As for the exams, they are conducted semester-wise in DU. The level is moderate. It is neither too easy nor too difficult. If you attend regular classes and pay attention to previous years' papers, you can score a good GPA.
Other: I have a keen interest in Economics. This course provides an applied version of Economics and Business and helps with practical applications of theoretical knowledge.

Infrastructure: The college's commitment to maintaining green space is evident in the well-kept lawns and flowerbeds. The library has extended hours during the examination period, which is very supportive of students' academic needs. The hostel provides laundry, a pantry, and many more services.
Faculty: Teaching quality varies by subject but leans positive overall. Some professors are excellent at simplifying complex accounting concepts. Our college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Placements are fine considering it is an off campus college. Some students got placed in good companies in audit and finance streams at national level companies. Major companies such as big 4 Ernst and young, KPMG recruit from our campus. Audit and consulting roles are usually offered. Students from different commerce backgrounds often apply for similar opportunities, which increases competition but also broadens peer network.
Faculty: Faculty support has genuinely helped me get through tougher papers. Professors are willing to explain things multiple times if needed. The curriculum touches on both theory and application, which makes classes feel less abstract. Exams require real preparation, especially cost accounting. The pass rate is usually around 82%. You get to learn about roles and industries from students with different interests. This verification helps students grow and lead.
Other: I had a keen interest in economics, so I chose this course. It has provided me with applied aspects and real-world applications.

Good commerce college with active decent placements and active campus life.
Placements: The roles offered to commerce students provide a good entry point into corporate careers. Audit, finance, tax, and analyst roles can help graduates build experience before moving into more specialized positions. The placement cell organises mock interviews constantly. They are a big help in gaining the required confidence before the actual corporate placement drives.
Infrastructure: We have classrooms with centralised air-conditioning along with whiteboards, projectors, and modern seating arrangements. Our college has a sports complex that has changing rooms and lockers with security. Cleanliness is also prioritised. The Wi-Fi connectivity of our college is strong. It doesn't fluctuate as we move from one building to another.
Faculty: We have tutors and lecturers in seminars, which create large classes. So you get to speak to the tutor and have decent interaction with him/her. You can't really get lost in the more financial accounting-based lectures. Most professors are approachable and subject matter experts in their fields. The curriculum does a commendable job liking theoretical economics concepts to real business scenarios. The curriculum is regularly refreshed to keep up with evolving industry practices in finance and taxation. Pass rates stay consistently high, generally above 86%.
Other: One of the important points of studying here is the good faculty across accounting, economics, and business law. They bring both academic and practical perspectives to lectures. This makes concepts easier to understand and apply.

Classrooms are okay and the faculty is of mixed sort.
Placements: According to some of my seniors, the highest package goes up to 12 Lacs for Computer Science and the average would be around 6.5 Lacs. The top roles offered in my course include that of analyst and most students decide to pursue Masters after graduation.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and the library are excellent. The canteen is okay and only 2-3 items are worth spending upon, but medical facilities are poor with only basic medicines being available. Wi-Fi is average and does not work many times. Sports facility is also average. Most of the equipments are available. All sorts of societies are available in the college.
Faculty: The faculty is of mixed sort. Some teachers are amazing and very helpful while the others really don't care about the students. The curriculum is okay and the exams are not so difficult. One can easily score good if they prepare the past year papers.

Economics is an ocean which constitutes many branches of Economics like Business Economics, Environmental Economics, etc. in generic. Business Economics focus more only business subjects only rather a conventional Economics of Study.
