He underlined the necessity of such expertise in both core engineering studies and other emerging fields, which align with the requirements of the corporate sector. The Vice Chancellor cautioned against the environmental consequences of increased consumption in the coming years and emphasized that trans-disciplinary knowledge could offer solutions to societal challenges. He urged youth to develop the right attitude from an early stage, as it plays a crucial role in securing the right jobs and excelling in the corporate sector. In addition to acknowledging the growth opportunities in India, Dr Velraj called on graduates to be responsible contributors to the nation's development. The event saw the awarding of degrees to 610 graduates, with Dr. Velraj presenting medals to rank holders.

Shiksha Invites Admission Counsellors For An Interactive Session on Programmes Offered by SRM University, Valliammai campus

October 28, 2021: Shiksha.com recently invited a team of Admission Counsellors at SRM University, Valliammai campus to participate in a WhatsApp session to speak with various Class 12 pass outs and graduates interested in applying to SRM University’s various programmes.

Students asked counsellors questions about the eligibility requirements, admission process, application deadline, placements, and other opportunities.

While answering all of the students' questions, they talked about various BE/ BTech courses offered at the campus such as Agriculture Engineering, Medical Electronics, Cyber Security and Civil Engineering among others. Students can apply for admissions in two ways i.e., government quota and management quota. The tuition fee for students seeking admission through government quota is Rs 80,000 per year while the tuition fee for students seeking admission through management quota is Rs 1,77,000 per year.

SRM University, Valliammai campus is NAAC A accredited educational institution that focuses on quality learning experience for all students. The institution has a track record of over 90% placements in the last seven years. Renowned corporates and institutions such as Accenture, TCS, IBM, Infosys, Cognizant, L&T, etc repeatedly participate in the placements season every year. In the recent placement session, the institute reported the highest salary package of Rs 12 lakh while the average package stood at Rs 4.5 lakh.

Placements are good. Satisfied with the way of teaching.

Placements: 80 percent of students are placed, but many of them didn't accept the offer. Only 3 to 4 top companies are in placement, which is related to my core domain. The lowest package is 2 LPA, and the highest package is 6 LPA in our class. Most students got around 2 LPA-3 LPA.

The placement is good and the campus infrastructure is clean.

Placements: Top recruiters are Hitachi, Cognizant, Movate, Econ, Hyosung, Mu Sigma, IMEG, Kaar Techno, and several software companies are coming for the placement drive with a package of 6 LPA and the maximum package is up to 8 LPA. The roles offered from core companies are like Electrical designing and structural designing and on the software side are like programme analyst roles.

A supportive campus with practical learning, events, industrial exposure, and quality teaching.

Placements: I belong to the Electrical and Electronics Engineering batch of 2026. Around 65 percent of the students got placed. Packages range from 3 LPA to 8 LPA with an average package of 3.5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Kar Technologies, and Hitachi. About 50 percent of students secured internships in core electrical companies. Roles offered are Graduate Trainee Engineer, Design Engineer, and Testing Engineer.

Placements: In my course, some students did not get placed in any company. Many of the students got placed in a good company. The lowest package is 3 LPA and the highest package is 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies of our course are Hitachi Energy and IMEG. Many of the students got internship.

Faculty and placements for the 2015 batch were good.

Placements: On average around 70 percent of students get placed during campus placements in many top colleges but this can vary a lot by institution and course. The lowest package is 3 LPA, and the highest package is 6 LPA in our college. Our class students are getting internships in our course.

The M.Tech seat allocation in SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Chengalpattu is conducted based on merit rank, entrance score, community reservation, and availability of seats. Admission becomes complete only after document verification and payment of the fee.

The qualification for M.Tech in SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Chengalpattu is BE/BTech or equivalent with 50% aggregate marks. Candidates from the reserved category are eligible with 45% aggregate according to Tamil Nadu government guidelines.

Selection to BTech in SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Chengalpattu is made through Anna University's TNEA counselling procedure. Students are selected on merit based in Class 12 and subsequently allocated seats depending upon rank, reservation, and availability.
