"Rise and shine" is the motto of our college.
Placements: 50 percent and above of students are placed, and the highest package is 16 LPA, while the lowest package is 3 LPA. The top recruitment companies are Infosys and TCS. Around 50 percent of students got internships from the course. Top roles offered in the course are software developers, and so on.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good, classrooms are well-equipped, and there are many computer labs and sessions. The hostel facilities are the best, but the college canteen is not up to par. There is a lot of greenery on the college campus, and many events also take place. The sports campus is also good.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and very helpful, and the teaching quality is also good. As it is an autonomous institute, there are many facilities. The semester exams are moderate, not too difficult but not too easy either. The passing percentage is 45 percent. However, it doesn't make students fully industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course based on my CET percentile. The best thing is the discipline of the college.

The infrastructure is below average, and placements are average. Faculty members are really good.
Placements: About 60% of the students were placed from the information technology branch. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA. From the information technology branch, Most of the students do company-based internships as well as projects. About 10%-15% of the students do in-house projects.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of St. Vincent Pallotti College are below average. Labs, classrooms and a library are available, but there are no Wi-Fi facilities. In the lab, the internet speed is very low.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very supportive, and they are helpful during the study. Otherwise, they are very strict. There are very less chances to escape from classes as it is very mandatory to have more than 70%-75% attendance. If your attendance is not in between that range, they do not allow you to attend exams. Faculty members do not give internal marks easily, and it depends on exam scores.

It is a better choice among all autonomous colleges in Nagpur.
Placements: Our batch is currently in 3rd year. The IT department is getting various internships in product-based companies and research organisations. Among senior batches, there was 90% placement last year. They are offered with a salary package of 3-4 LPA. Students are also getting placed this year.
Infrastructure: Our college provides various facilities such as 100% projector enabled classrooms. Classrooms and college are neat and clean. The lab provides all of the equipment required and also internet facility. Library facilities are also good. Recently they've changed the canteen facility, which is better than the old one.
Faculty: Faculty members are taking various efforts on student development. As we all know that RTMNU curriculum is not that good, and it is outdated. However, teachers in our college are taking efforts towards application-level knowledge and making students focus on MOOCs. The campus recruitment training is also provided to every branch and every student.
Other: There is an internet facility in labs and Wi-Fi network of Jio net. Students are allowed to focus on studies as well as extracurricular activities. There are three major fests in our college, i.e., Technex, Insight and WAD.

It is much better now than before.
Placements: The placements scenario seems to have improved from what I'm seeing in the juniors batch. The college has started internships for students before the commencement of 4th year. I'm not aware about the stipends or pay packages currently but from the looks of it and interactions, everything seems great now.
Infrastructure: There are enough computer labs and systems and other facilities for students. There are various university teams and the individuals stars from it have brought accolades to the college and themselves. Never stayed in the hostel. But there were great facilities.
Faculty: The curriculum is of the RTMNU. The teachers do enough justice. I think if one listens to them properly, it's suffice to clear the exams with flying colours. The college supports a little more than what is asked by the university. But they would need more work.

Overall, SVPCET provides the best services when compared to other private colleges in Nagpur.
Placements: The placement ratio of our college is fine. Around 90% of the students from our senior batch were placed. As a fresher, the lowest salary package offered was about 1.50 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 3.50 LPA. The average salary package offered is 2.50 LPA. Companies like Persistent Systems, TCS, NICE Systems Ltd, Jacobs, research in, Infosys, Envoys, Collebera, and Amazon, etc., have visited our campus for placements. Generally, roles offered were of project manager, assistant software engineer, automation testing and BPO. Nearly 80% of students got internships from the college. Stipend offered was from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 5,000, per month and the average stipend offered was Rs. 2,000 per month. There is a placement cell available in the college, but it should be improved so that maximum number of students will get placed.
Infrastructure: The college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, library, e-library, medical facilities, and sports. A canteen is available on the campus itself. Highly equipped labs and digital classrooms are available. Quality of food available in the canteen is not that good. Hostel rooms are fully furnished with facilities like gym and sports ground. I didn't face any issues regarding infrastructure. The campus and infrastructure are good.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified professionals. Teaching is fully based on RTMNU syllabus. They follow teaching methods like quizzes, mini projects on every subject, PPTs and seminars. There are around 300 staff members including non-teaching and teaching staff members. The college provides industry visits, and talks by industry people help us learn how we can relate our studies with the practical world. Recently, Harrisburg University professional development programme was arranged for the final year students. The college board organises various workshops by inviting professionals from outside. The course curriculum is very useful because it helps students to develop their personality and learn more. It also includes the recent special trends in technology.
Other: Events like Insight, Technex, Festonix, Infoutsav, and Mechmerise, are organised by the college. Campus surroundings are good. Our college conducts co-curricular activities like NSS, holistic programme, BSS programs, and ISTE programme.

A great college with great management.
Placements: There are great placement opportunities for freshers. Mostly IT companies come to recruit, and they provide a package of 3.2 lacs per annum. Companies come to recruit the mechanical engineering freshers too. So overall, the college is providing great placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of college is huge; it contains a playground and all other required facilities. There are separate workshops and space for other events and activities. All classes are staircase classes and contain projectors. The college is very strict and great management. A hostel is also available, attached to the college.
Faculty: The faculty members are very experienced and very friendly as well. They provide concepts with clear knowledge. Most of the faculty members are PhDs and have more than 20 years of experience which gives very knowledgeable and experienced learning and also helps in application of concepts in the industry.
Other: There are technical fest and cultural fest organised.

The college is strict, but if you are brave, you will enjoy this.
Placements: The placements are great. A lot of companies come here for campus
placements. A lot of students are also selected from here. Some of the companies that visit the campus are Mahindra, Infosys, Global Logic, TCS, InfoCepts. IT and ETC department students are placed more than other branches.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great. It consists of 2 main buildings, block-A and block-B. It also consists of big workshops for students. The college owns two hostels one for boys and another for girls. The college has big grounds for different sports. The college has sufficient space for parking for 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers.
Faculty: All the faculty are divided according to the department. The maximum faculty are experienced and they have good teaching technique which makes it easy for the students to understand. Some of the faculty are not good, i.e. they don't have proper knowledge. The college runs a lot of curriculum activities like the reading club, science club, coding club, etc. The college also has research and development cell which helps the students to fulfil their dreams.

Check before you take admission.
Placements: Placements are not very good in the college even though the prospectus shows a good list of companies. Tech Mahindra, Persistent and WeLead came to the college. The students were given some off-campus opportunities like TCS, Xoriant and Zensar but the number of students placed was an issue.
The highest placement was 10 lakhs in the Indian army (credit to the student, the college didn't do anything except giving attendance) and the lowest placement was 1.2 lacs at WeLead and a fairly good placement on the campus. Tech Mahindra offered 3.3 lacs.
Infrastructure: The size of the college is small. Do not compare it with the top colleges in India. It is better to use your mobile hotspot for browsing the Internet rather than using the Wi-Fi because the speed is very slow. If you happen to live in the hostel, the hostel management charges an amount of Rs 4500 for using laptops and for Wi-Fi connectivity (the prospectus says Wi-Fi is free). Only laptops can be connected to the college Wi-Fi. Classrooms, labs etc are good in infrastructure with proper seating and other facilities. The quality of the food in the canteen varies. People who live in the hostel don't really have a choice as the college is far from the city and no other food junctions are located nearby. The only good thing about the college campus is that it is very clean and green.
Faculty: The college follows the course curriculum as specified by the RTM Nagpur University. The medium of communication in the college is Hindi even though it is a Christian college(the teacher-student interaction or during lectures). I am not sure about other departments, but the teaching in the information technology department is questionable.The faculty team in the information technology department lacks basic knowledge about the IT domain and due to this, they prefer reading over presentations and e-books and reading it again in Hindi(which they say is an explanation). Faculty members also make it a point that they control the internals of the students and if you happen to go against the department or the college, you won't be getting your internals which would end up affecting your percentage. There were no industrial tour for my batch(especially IT Dept) during the four years of engineering and even if the students made an initiative for the industrial visit, they had their reasons.
No internships were provided by the college even in the final semester.
Other: The only thing I would like to say is 'never judge a book by its cover and never judge a college by its prospectus.'
Make sure you talk to alumni of the college before taking an admission in the college. Students who are in the college won't tell you anything(they fear their internals).
If you happen to be from one of the metro cities, you will find it very difficult to cope up with the life over there.
The college conducts two cultural fests for an annual year in the month of Jan. Apart from that, there's nothing new in the college.
If you go through my entire review, you will find a lot of negativities about the college. But this is true. I and my friends have gone through this and trust me, it is a mess out there.
