Satisfied with the college.

Placements: Very poor placements are available in the college for civil students. TCS and a few other companies come for placements for civil engineering students. IT companies are there with good packages like Juspay, Oracle, etc. The highest package this year is 18 LPA for Oracle.

Infrastructure: Overall, the college infrastructure is nice and well-maintained. The campus area is smaller than other government engineering colleges. The hostel is also decent, but the fees are very high.

Faculty: Good faculty members are available in the college. Most are well qualified and knowledgeable. They are supportive and reachable if needed. The curriculum is more theory-based than focused on practical experience. Internships are allowed in the final semester. Exams are scorable. The course is normal like the KTU syllabus, but it is somewhat different from regular KTU as the college is now autonomous. More strict subjects are added, I think.

Satisfied with the overall college performance, but it is not great.

Placements: Poor placement opportunities for Civil Engineers in the college. Only a few companies come for recruitment in civil, like TCS, with very low packages. Outside opportunities are better. Only around 4 LPA is the average package. Few people get into core companies, otherwise, all is good for IT.

Infrastructure: College is small compared to other engineering colleges in Kerala or India. The campus size is small, and hostels are outside the campus in private areas. Hostel food is not good, but the fees are high. College facilities are decent, and all labs and sports facilities are there.

Faculty: Faculty members are good and great. Most are qualified and have proper knowledge in their field. All are very supportive and helpful as well. Teaching mostly sticks to the textbook and is theoretical based. Attendance is a problem. Exams are affordable. The syllabus is tighter for autonomous batches.

I am dissatisfied with the placements.

Placements: The civil department in the college receives one of the lowest packages in the college. Although some companies come with decent offers. The intake number of students is very low, maybe 3-4 per company. Students are not placed enough. The highest package was around 8 LPA last year.

Infrastructure: A decent level of infrastructure is there for the college with different kinds of facilities. It's not as big as other government colleges in Kerala but they are not so small also. The sanitation and cleanliness and other aspects of the college are pretty good. The hostel food is very bad.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good and very supportive. They are helpful to students. They can be approached anytime for any help. The curriculum is fully theoretical and no practical-based learning is there as the college is autonomous now. Exams are also tougher now than the regular KTU papers.

Satisfied with the overall performance of the college.

Placements: College placements are good and very approachable. The placements cell helps us a lot in getting placements and guiding us through the processes. Companies do come and hire with attractive packages, provided we have the relevant and necessary skills for the same.

Infrastructure: The college has great infrastructure, which is one of the reasons I chose it. All the facilities and labs are well maintained. An idea lab is also available. The central library is equipped with computers and AC. Hostel facilities are also fine.

Faculty: The curriculum is average and more theoretical rather than practical. It is a bit different from the regular KTU syllabus as the college is now autonomous. Semester exams are scorable. Teachers and other faculty members are very supportive and helpful.

Review of Thangal Kunju Musaliar Institute of Technology.

Placements: College placements are very poor in terms of average packages and the companies that come to hire civil engineering students. High packages can be attained only with extra skills and other networks. Average package is usually 4-5 LPA. The highest package was 8 LPA.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is good. Although the college is not as big as other colleges, unlike other colleges it is kept very well with well-facilitated and maintained labs and workshops. The Central Library is also present with air conditioners.

Faculty: College faculty members and other teachers are very good in terms of education, teaching, helpfulness, care, and support. They can be reached out whenever it is required. The curriculum is a bit different from the KTU syllabus as the college is autonomous. Semester exams are a bit hard but are scorable also.

Well-facilitated college.

Placements: We receive average placement packages at the college. These packages are not very good. Mass recruiters come to the college for recruitment, reducing the average number of students. The average package offered is about 5–6 LPA, and the highest is 12 LPA. We have to update our skills as per our needs.

Infrastructure: Good and well-maintained infrastructure is available at the college with free Wi-Fi. Well-facilitated labs are present with good equipment and machines. The Central Library is also in the college. Hostel facilities are decent, and the food is of decent quality.

Faculty: Highly qualified and well-educated professors are at the college. All are very helpful and supportive. The course curriculum is different from that of the regular KTU syllabus as the college is now autonomous. Semester exams are decent and scoreable.

Satisfied with the college.

Placements: Placements offered in the college by the companies for Civil Engineering students are very poor and not worth it. The average package is about 3-4 LPA. It is better to find jobs outside or start our own work. Only 50-60% of the students were placed last year.

Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure, and the labs are provided with many machines and fully functional equipment. Free Wi-Fi is also available within the college. A central Library is present. The hostel also has free Wi-Fi upon registration. The food quality in the hostel is decent.

Faculty: The course curriculum is different from that of the KTU syllabus as the college is autonomous and has made its own modifications in the course. Faculty members are very helpful, approachable, and well qualified. Semester exams are tough but can be scored by studying two-three days before the exams.

Good college to develop skills.

Placements: The placements offered for the course have very low package. Companies mass recruit the students with very poor packages. Average package goes around 3-4 LPA. The highest package was 5-6 LPA. Only some of the students have done internships.

Infrastructure: I infrastructure of the college is something to say. It is well maintained and good facilities are available in the college with free Wi-Fi and good laboratories. Idea lab is also there and there are other workshops for every branch. Hostel facilities are also decent.

Faculty: Faculty members available for our course are very good and friendly. They are always available for their service. Curriculum is also good. More theory classes are there than practical ones. It will be better if mire projects and practical assignments are provided instead. Exams are also scorable.
