Not satisfied with the placements.
Placements: Very bad placement opportunities are available for civil engineering students. Only some companies are core in civil that come with very low package. Average salary goes around 3 LPA - 4 LPA. TCS is a regular one. Other IT companies like Juspay and Oracle come with high packages. Internships are mostly allowed in the final semester.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and other maintenance of the campus are good. All kinds of facilities are available on the campus like central library, idea lab, sees rooms, machine lab, etc. Quality of facilities is also good. Hostel is decent except for the mess food.
Faculty: Good number of faculty members and staff are there. They are helpful, supportive, reachable, and friendly. Curriculum is more theoretical, and attendance is an issue. Exams are scoreable by studying before exams.

Satisfied with the college.
Placements: Very poor placements are available in the college for civil students. TCS and a few other companies come for placements for civil engineering students. IT companies are there with good packages like Juspay, Oracle, etc. The highest package this year is 18 LPA for Oracle.
Infrastructure: Overall, the college infrastructure is nice and well-maintained. The campus area is smaller than other government engineering colleges. The hostel is also decent, but the fees are very high.
Faculty: Good faculty members are available in the college. Most are well qualified and knowledgeable. They are supportive and reachable if needed. The curriculum is more theory-based than focused on practical experience. Internships are allowed in the final semester. Exams are scorable. The course is normal like the KTU syllabus, but it is somewhat different from regular KTU as the college is now autonomous. More strict subjects are added, I think.

I am dissatisfied with the placements.
Placements: The civil department in the college receives one of the lowest packages in the college. Although some companies come with decent offers. The intake number of students is very low, maybe 3-4 per company. Students are not placed enough. The highest package was around 8 LPA last year.
Infrastructure: A decent level of infrastructure is there for the college with different kinds of facilities. It's not as big as other government colleges in Kerala but they are not so small also. The sanitation and cleanliness and other aspects of the college are pretty good. The hostel food is very bad.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good and very supportive. They are helpful to students. They can be approached anytime for any help. The curriculum is fully theoretical and no practical-based learning is there as the college is autonomous now. Exams are also tougher now than the regular KTU papers.

Satisfied with the overall performance of the college.
Placements: College placements are good and very approachable. The placements cell helps us a lot in getting placements and guiding us through the processes. Companies do come and hire with attractive packages, provided we have the relevant and necessary skills for the same.
Infrastructure: The college has great infrastructure, which is one of the reasons I chose it. All the facilities and labs are well maintained. An idea lab is also available. The central library is equipped with computers and AC. Hostel facilities are also fine.
Faculty: The curriculum is average and more theoretical rather than practical. It is a bit different from the regular KTU syllabus as the college is now autonomous. Semester exams are scorable. Teachers and other faculty members are very supportive and helpful.

Review of Thangal Kunju Musaliar Institute of Technology.
Placements: College placements are very poor in terms of average packages and the companies that come to hire civil engineering students. High packages can be attained only with extra skills and other networks. Average package is usually 4-5 LPA. The highest package was 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is good. Although the college is not as big as other colleges, unlike other colleges it is kept very well with well-facilitated and maintained labs and workshops. The Central Library is also present with air conditioners.
Faculty: College faculty members and other teachers are very good in terms of education, teaching, helpfulness, care, and support. They can be reached out whenever it is required. The curriculum is a bit different from the KTU syllabus as the college is autonomous. Semester exams are a bit hard but are scorable also.
