Overall, our college is a good dental college in Telangana.
Placements: After completion of BDS, students can go for their MS, which means Masters of Dental Surgery. In this, we have lots of options to choose which branch student is interested in specialising in. Some students who are not interested in MS can do fellowship in dentistry, which further gives you lots of opportunities to work as a cosmetic dentist and many more. Some students can stop at BDS and work as a dental surgeon. They can establish a clinic and can start their practise as a doctor.
Infrastructure: We have good facilities. Dentistry is all about skills and art, which needs equipment to work on. So our college has good infrastructure and good equipment that helps students get used to practical work in their clinicals. Faculty will guide how to work and how to use equipment.
Faculty: We have amazing faculty who guide students properly regarding the subject and course, which will help further help the students to establish their career in this field. Curriculum is normal like all other dental colleges in Telangana. This college comes under the KNRUHS university affiliation. Students need to appear for a total of four theory exams in a year. I have three internal exams and one final university exam at the end of year. Students should score a minimum of 50% in all the subjects and they should have 80% attendance in order to sit or appear for the final university exam.
Other: I chose this course because after attack of the COVID-19 Pandemic, people started worrying more about oral health and hygiene. The scope of this field has increased, but the number of doctors in this field is decreasing, so to make people more flexible about consulting a dentist so that they can care about their oral health and dentists will create more and more awareness regarding this issue. We doctors are here to help people and save people.
