University B.D.T College of Engineering, Visvesvaraya Technological University Scholarships and Funding
Various government scholarships are provided such as:
1) Government Scholarships for SC/ST students whose income is below Rs. 1,00,000/- per annum (Sanctioned by the Social Welfare Department). Students have to apply in every semester.
2) Fee concession for SC/ST students whose income is above Rs. 1,00,000/- per annum (Sanctioned by Director of Technical Education, Bangalore).
3) Defence Scholarships to the Children of Defence Personnel (Sanctioned by Department of Collegiate Education, Bangalore). Students have applied in the month of December.
4) Scholarships from Karanataka State Board of Wakfs.

Placements: Nearly 50% of students got placed every year. Companies like BEL Schneider, technologies, etc., visit our college. The highest package is 18 LPA for the mechanical branch and the lowest or minimum package is 3 LPA-4 LPA. HCL and other companies also visit to our college.
Placements: No one got placed in our batch, but my seniors got placed. Not a single company visited in 2024-25 for our course. But at the time of previous batches, a couple of companies used to visit our college. The highest package offered in our course was 8 LPA.
Placements: Placement opportunity is very minimal. I attended 3 companies on campus, out of which I qualified in two. The package they offer is around 3 Lacs per annum. Students should also go for off-campus interviews as on-campus placements are very few in this college.
Placements: My course is Civil Engineering and 85 percent of students are placed in our courses. The highest package in our college is 17 lakhs per annum, and the lowest package in our college is 5 lakhs per annum. Top companies are coming to my college, such as Wipro, TCS, Infosys, IBM, etc., and a total of 85 percent of students get internships from Infosys.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our course is 73%. More than 42 students are placed in top companies such as DFH, Dalmia, PVR and many more. These are the recruiting companies. Internships include planting, construction, and site visits. The highest package offered is 52 LPA, and the lowest package is 4.2 LPA.
Placements: Our college provides good placements. Many seniors got placed in good companies. The highest salary package offered in our course is 9 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.7 LPA. The highest salary package offered in other courses is 19 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. Almost 75% of students got placed in our college. Top companies like BHEL, Schneider, JSW, HP, L&T, TVS, Yokogawa, etc., visit our college.

As its KCET rank is 44,000, getting admission in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch of University BDT College of Engineering (UBDTCE), Davanagere, could be out of reach. The closing ranks for CSE at UBDTCE used to be considerably lower in earlier years.

About 70% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA, and the lowest package is 5 LPA. Companies like Tata, Microsoft, etc., visited our college for placements. Separate hostel for boys and girls. The boys hostel has two independent blocks which can accommodate 350 students. The room rent and service charges are nominal. The mess for both the blocks is running on dividing system. The hostel has amenities like Indoor Games, Reading room, Sports, Library, T.V
