Review of University College of Engineering, Kakinada, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.

Placements: In this college, out of 24 candidates from our course, only 25% of students i.e 6 students got placed in off-campus drives including Andhra Pradesh Sachivalayam posts. The highest salary package offered was 3.34 LPA. TCS off-campus, and Medha Servo were the top recruiting companies. The internships were not offered to students.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi on the campus was given to only faculty members with privacy encryption. There were no projectors in all classrooms for e-learning at the time of our batch. Hostels were not hygienic, and the quality of food in the mess was adequate. The canteen was not provided. One should go out every time if anyone missed the food at a specified time.

Faculty: Teachers were helpful in lectures, explaining the topics, and they were knowledgeable. The course curriculum was somewhat relevant to industry-ready. Exams were conducted at the medium difficulty level, and almost everyone passed the exams.

Other: This college was equipped with a technique for offering scholarships or TA, DA reimbursement when attending conferences, and presentations in other places.

An excellent university and good faculty.

Placements: Fewer placement opportunities were provided for M.Tech. TCS is the only big company that recruits. No core companies recruitment is going on, which is a big negative to this college. Placement classes will be held one month before interviews. It would be better if placement classes were included in the daily curriculum.

Infrastructure: Good and spacious classrooms and an excellent library are available. There is a very slow Wi-Fi. Good R&D labs are available. The food is not up to the mark in the canteen. There are good hostel rooms with good maintenance. Sports would be encouraged well. This is the best university with most facilities. Poor medical facilities are available at the campus.

Faculty: Excellent and well-experienced faculty with practical experience and exposure are available. All the course outcomes are achieved. Seminars will be assigned to the students which will be helpful. ECE department has good faculty. There is a good student-faculty ratio, and less industry exposure is available.

Other: It is a good college and has a useful library and also provides 24x7 internet facility. Lab facility is also good. Staff is helpful as well as supporting. In the college, a ground and gym is also available. College also provides hostel facility but no scholarship is available for non-gate candidates.
