Selection for UPES Dehradun BTech course depends on JEE Main/CUET UG scorecard. Alternatively, 50 percentile in SAT India Score and 75%-80% in Class 12. Or, you can also appear for UPESESAT which is conducted by the university. The eligibility depends on minimum marks of 50% in aggregate for Class 10 and Class 12. The subject combination is as follows: Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English in Class 12. 

Candidates are selected based on merit and an entrance exam. The university accepts multiple entrance exam scores, such as GATE/CMAT, etc., for courses like BBA LLB, MTech, MBA, etc. The university offers courses in multiple filed such as Management, Engineering, etc.

 UPES Dehradun offers over 72 courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels through nine schools and UPES Centre for Continuing Education (CCE). The courses are offered in multiple streams like Engineering, Management, Science, Business, etc. The university conducts its own entrance exams like UPESMET, UPESMET UG, UPESPAT, etc. for providing admission to specific courses. Apart from these, UPES Dehradun also accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, CUET UG, NEET, JEE Main, etc. Candidates after completing Class 12 can apply for UG courses. A minimum of graduation is required for PG courses. 

UPES-Experience Centre admissions are done based on entrance exam scores. The college offers various courses at the UG and PG levels. Students must complete Class 12 for UG courses and graduation for PG courses. 

Admission to UPES - Experience Centre can vary in difficulty depending on the chosen admission pathway. There are three options available: UPSEAT (which covers 80% of seats), Board marks (for which exceptional scores are required), and JEE Main marks for All India seats. If you are aiming for admission through UPSEAT, it's generally considered more competitive, and you should aim for a rank of at least 600 in the exam to increase your chances of securing a spot at the college. The difficulty level of admission can also be influenced by factors such as the number of applicants and the specific programme you are applying to. It's advisable to research the admission criteria and requirements for your chosen course to understand the level of competitiveness involved.

The rankings saw a jump from 91 position in 2021 and 167 position in 2020. Apart from the Engineering course, UPES - Experience Centre was also the part of NIRF Ranking under 'University' category. Recently, the university also found a place in 'Overall' category of NIRF 2022 rankings. Not only in terms of position, the university also provides excellent placement opportunities to BTech students. As per the latest report, over 250 recruiters participated and presented over 2,000 job offers to the class of 2023. Further, the highest and average package offered to School of Computer Science students during UPES placements 2023 stood at INR 36 LPA and INR 8.66 LPA, respectively. 

The UPES Admission Office is not a department for studying but rather a administrative unit responsible for handling admissions-related processes and inquiries from prospective students. Therefore, you do not study within the Admission Office itself.
