Good learning campus for a bright future and no issues with the campus and faculty members.

Placements: Actually, the college is helping a lot with placements as well as training for students. They put their effort into making students get placed. 98% of students are getting placed every year and remaining percentage of students are moving to higher studies. The highest package offered by Amazon is 44 LPA, and other companies are providing with an average of 4 LPA - 4.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: All facilities are available for the students either for learning or for developing the projects. No issues about infrastructure and each class has its own projectors along with a speaker. Mostly virtual classes take place where it will be more realistic for learning rather than books. Good lodging facility and the food is good. Sports, Wi-Fi, and medical facilities are available on the campus.

Faculty: All teachers are well qualified and have a minimum of 10 years of experience in their own department. Their teaching is well understandable and friendly. They are not only taking the syllabus but training for the future industrial engineers and giving their fullest efforts for practical application. End-semester exams are easily manageable because they make us learn during internal exams hence, no pressure takes place.

Other: I am interested in EEE department and I chose this course for my future career. More sports events are occurring. For sports students, it will be a good opportunity to join this college campus for an enjoyable college life. Scholarships are also available and eligible students can avail these opportunities.

Good place to learn & earn.

Placements: In the batch 2020 to 2024, around 80% of students got placed in top companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, IBM, Microsoft, Google, Flipkart, Cognizant, Accenture, etc. The highest salary package offered is 25 LPA by Amazon. The lowest salary package offered is 8 LPA. The average salary package offered is 15 LPA.

Infrastructure: High-speed Wi-Fi is available across the campus. There is high quality of accommodation. We have good library support. The food quality in the mess and canteen is good. The infrastructure is good. There is high maintenance of labs. We have 24/7 proper medical facilities during college time as well as on holiday also.

Faculty: The teaching quality is relevant to the industry. The difficult level of exams is around 80-90%. Teachers train students well not only in theory but also in practical life. They provide proper guidance in doing projects. They allocate a proper mentor for each student to share their problems.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in emerging technology. The course is career-oriented.

Not really good, but I have really good friends.

Placements: I am studying civil engineering. My batchmates and I haven't received any placements yet. All students in my course get internships, but no one in my batch has received one yet. We are scheduled for internships next summer. However, I have currently received an internship offer from Eversendai company.

Infrastructure: My course has a really good infrastructure. All lab facilities and the library are available, but they don't provide a Wi-Fi connection. Food from the canteen is good, but hostelers always complain about hostel food. My college needs to improve sports and extracurricular activities.

Faculty: Teachers are less friendly but very supportive in their studies. Some teachers should improve their teaching skills. However, some faculty members are excellent at teaching. Our pass percentage for semester exams is 50%. Sometimes, the exams are very tough, but I am trying to improve myself.

Other: I chose this course because my parents influenced me to study it. I wish they could improve placement opportunities, sports, and extracurricular activities. There are not many festivals and celebrations.

To get placed and be in a protected environment, Velammal is good.

Placements: In the year 2024, 90% of Velammal students were placed. Placement is really good, and everyone gets placed. Some students with backlogs or who are interested in higher studies or business opt for those fields. The top companies that recruit are Zoho, TCS, Wipro, Presidio, and Amazon. Over 50 companies come for placement every year. The highest package was 9.2 lacs, and the average package is around 4 lacs per annum.

Infrastructure: Velammal Engineering College is a good college with well maintained facilities. The infrastructure is small but not bad. The Wi-Fi and lab facilities are average. The library is one of the best places in the college, as it is peaceful and conducive to study. Hostel rooms accommodate four people, and the mess serves decent food. The health center is staffed with a doctor and a nurse, and students participate in all sports and games. ODs are provided for events.

Faculty: The faculty are very good at explaining things and making sure everyone understands the concepts. They are very patient and will explain things as many times as necessary. They really helped me get good marks in my studies. The teachers at Velammal are very helpful and will help you in any way they can, whether it's with training, placement, projects, internships, or other activities.

Other: I wanted to get into the software field, so I chose IT as my major. I applied to several colleges in the TNEA counseling, and Velammal College was allotted to me. College life there is a bit boring, as there are few events. However, the campus is calm and quiet, and there are scholarships available from the government.

Review about my college .

Placements: Maximum number of people getting interns, and sometimes they paid us for interns, and mostly freshmen not getting top roles; they get only freshmen roles in companies, and 80 percent of students getting placements, and not too much difference between average packages and the lowest packages.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure in classrooms and departments is good, and Wi-Fi connections are excellent, but classroom facilities are not too good. The library system in college was moderate, and hostels are average. Foods in hostel mess is average and sports are not very important .

Faculty: Semester exams are strictly conducted by my college, and staff are strict in college for studies, and they are friendly to handle us. It is curriculum-relevant, and they make us industrial-ready, and half of the percentage is pass percentage in semesters.

Other: Seniors suggested me, and this engineering course was having a bright scope, and events and fests are not important in college; they only concentrate on studies.

Absolutely satisfied but some changes can be done for some entertainment purposes.

Placements: Most of the students got placements in different companies. Zoho is one of the companies that will not see the CGPA or HOA (history of arrears). Everyone will get 100% placements in top companies. Top companies prefer top roles like R&D department including roles like manager, etc.

Infrastructure: Our college is excellent for laboratory purposes. Everything related to our mechanical department can be seen practically. The quality of food is good. In hostel, rooms are well maintained. Restrooms are also well-maintained and hygienic. Emergency medical purposes are also available in our college. Velammal is one of the best places to study and participate in sports and games.

Faculty: Faculty members are friendly. They are well-trained to take care of future engineers. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are easy and helpful for future learning. The pass percentage is 50%, and everyone will get pass easily.
