Good learning campus for a bright future and no issues with the campus and faculty members.

Placements: Actually, the college is helping a lot with placements as well as training for students. They put their effort into making students get placed. 98% of students are getting placed every year and remaining percentage of students are moving to higher studies. The highest package offered by Amazon is 44 LPA, and other companies are providing with an average of 4 LPA - 4.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: All facilities are available for the students either for learning or for developing the projects. No issues about infrastructure and each class has its own projectors along with a speaker. Mostly virtual classes take place where it will be more realistic for learning rather than books. Good lodging facility and the food is good. Sports, Wi-Fi, and medical facilities are available on the campus.

Faculty: All teachers are well qualified and have a minimum of 10 years of experience in their own department. Their teaching is well understandable and friendly. They are not only taking the syllabus but training for the future industrial engineers and giving their fullest efforts for practical application. End-semester exams are easily manageable because they make us learn during internal exams hence, no pressure takes place.

Other: I am interested in EEE department and I chose this course for my future career. More sports events are occurring. For sports students, it will be a good opportunity to join this college campus for an enjoyable college life. Scholarships are also available and eligible students can avail these opportunities.

Review about my college .

Placements: Maximum number of people getting interns, and sometimes they paid us for interns, and mostly freshmen not getting top roles; they get only freshmen roles in companies, and 80 percent of students getting placements, and not too much difference between average packages and the lowest packages.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure in classrooms and departments is good, and Wi-Fi connections are excellent, but classroom facilities are not too good. The library system in college was moderate, and hostels are average. Foods in hostel mess is average and sports are not very important .

Faculty: Semester exams are strictly conducted by my college, and staff are strict in college for studies, and they are friendly to handle us. It is curriculum-relevant, and they make us industrial-ready, and half of the percentage is pass percentage in semesters.

Other: Seniors suggested me, and this engineering course was having a bright scope, and events and fests are not important in college; they only concentrate on studies.

It is a good college if you are looking for placements in IT companies.

Placements: Almost 85% of the students got placed in college. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. There were many companies that visited the campus during placements. Top recruiters are CTS, Infosys, Wipro, and HCL.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was good. It includes labs, classrooms, library, canteen, hostel, auditorium, etc. The hostel was very well maintained, and the hostel warden was also a good person. The quality of the food served was also good. We had many indoor games to play.

Faculty: Almost all the teachers were helpful in our department. They were very friendly and helped us when we find difficulty in learning. HOD was supporting us. The course was well prepared and taken by the staff. The semester exams would be quite hard if you don't study.

I was dissatisfied with the faculty members, but the campus life was college unforgettable.

Placements: Around 70-80% of students get placed in college. The highest salary package offered in our course was 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Companies that recruited most of the students were Cognizant, Infosys and Wipro. Internships were not offered in our course. Only placements were offered. Top role offered was system engineer.

Infrastructure: Classrooms in our college were spacious and could hold about 60 students. The library had a huge collection of study materials for all students, and library passes were used. The Wi-Fi connection was not so good and was mostly very slow. The labs were fine, but there was a lack of equipment for all students, and we needed to share. I was a day scholar and had no idea how good the hostel and mess facilities were but, the canteen food was good. There were proper first aid kits and trained medical professionals in case of any medical injury.

Faculty: The teaching quality was not excellent. There were only a few teachers who were pretty knowledgeable about the subject they were teaching. The remaining read their book and taught us to mug up the answers. They were helpful in allocating internal marks and helping in tough situations. The course curriculum was relevant and helped in making students industry-ready, but they had to do that all by themselves.

Review of Velammal Engineering College.

Placements: The highest package offered is 17 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. There are a minimum of 300 companies coming for our placements. Some of them are Cognizant, Wipro, Zoho, Tata, Infosys etc. A total of 1016 students got selected in 2017. This is among all BE students.

Infrastructure: Our college provides all facilities like books, notes books syllabus materials etc. There are a few laboratory hours. The library has nearly 7500 books for referring. Hostel students are comfortable with rooms, restrooms and mess. The canteen is also good. A medical center, sports and games facilities are also available.

Faculty: Our faculty members are very well experienced, working for more than 10 years in the same college. They also guide us in a helpful manner. A separate hour is provided for clearing our doubts. During these four years, we are involved in many things like going to industrial visits, courses apart from subjects etc.

Review of Velammal Engineering College.

Placements: Nearly 80% of the students from our course got placed before the end of the academic year. Companies like Tata Elxsi, Zilker Technologies, etc., visit here for day 0 placements, while CTS, Wipro and Infosys visit for day 1 placements. Students did an internship in companies like Zoho, Gofrugal, Michelin Tires, etc.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is very good for our department. There are many different labs, mainly electrical machines-1 lab, electrical machines-2 lab, circuit theory lab, micro electro mechanical system labs, power electronics lab and microprocessing and microcontroller labs. There is a separate library for our department, and it is well and good. Classrooms are well arranged and spacious. The quality of the food available in the mess is just moderate or below average sometimes. In the sports and games aspect, our college is really excellent, and there are a separate cricket ground and a football ground. There are also volleyball and throwball grounds, which include ball badminton also. There is an indoor stadium which is excellent for chess, table tennis and badminton. We can even play volleyball and throwball in the indoor stadium if it is raining outside because there is a separate net and space for playing volleyball inside the indoor stadium. Medical facilities are good, and we can directly consult the doctor inside the health centre. He will immediately give the necessary tablets. There are separate 5 rooms in the health centre in which there will be around 2 beds in every room. So, there is a total of 10 rooms inside the health centre, which include washrooms also.

Faculty: Faculty members here were qualified. Every teacher was knowledgeable, but some teachers were not good at teaching, i.e., they know the subject and concept well but could not manipulate that in teaching. Only some teachers couldn't teach well, which is the drawback. If we are highly focused and understand the general meaning of everything in our course, it would be really helpful for students in the industry.

Good placements, teaching and helpful faculty for students.

Placements: Nearly 80 percent of the students got placed before the end of the academic year. We had companies like Tata elxsi, Zilker technologies, coming for day 0 placements and CTS, Wipro Infosys coming for day 1 placements. Students went for an internship to companies like Zoho, go frugal, Michelin tires etc.

Infrastructure: Labs classrooms are always maintained neatly. Library staff is friendly and all kinds of books were available. Sports like chess, carrom, athletics, volleyball, throw ball, cricket were encouraged. Sports staff were always encouraging the students. A doctor will always be present for any medical emergency.

Faculty: All staff was friendly and always approachable to students and their problems. All of them are M.E graduates and nearly 50% of the staffs have Ph.D. Teaching is elite and students can approach any time for doubts. Treated all students equally. Allowed greater participation.

It is not bad , good placements in 2018,not good in 2019, good infrastructure,faculties are good

Placements: 1)Around 15-20% of students were placed from my course. 2) The highest salary will be around 30k, average will be 15-20k per month and the lowest will be 10k per month. 3)Mind tree, Tata elxi, wipro, cognizant and TCS are the top recruiters. 4)Assistant engineer, analyst are the roles offered. 5) 4 lakhs, 2.5-3lakhs, 1-1.5 Lacs per annum respectively is the salary range offered to our course. 6) 10% of students from my batch got internship from my course in mind tree, Zoho etc.

Infrastructure: 1) Wi-Fi is very good for our department. We have many different labs mainly electrical machines. 1, electrical machines - 2, circuit theory lab, Micro electro mechanical system labs, power electronics lab and micro processing and micro controller labs. We have a separate library for our department. And it is well and good. Other: 1) I just joined this course because my elder brother took this course and so I could get some teaching from him if I couldn't understand. In my department of EEE, I can take IT field or my core field after completing my degree. So that was the best in my course. 2) Teaching should have been better. That's the only one I see to be improved. 3) symposium, IEEE events, any more events and fests are conducted regularly. Campus crowd is not much. It is normal. Campus surroundings are not bad. It is in the developed area. Scholarships area available. Extracurricular activities are well versed in our course. They do support you for taking part in various Extracurricular activities and provide you with on duty leave.
