Absolutely satisfied but some changes can be done for some entertainment purposes.

Placements: Most of the students got placements in different companies. Zoho is one of the companies that will not see the CGPA or HOA (history of arrears). Everyone will get 100% placements in top companies. Top companies prefer top roles like R&D department including roles like manager, etc.

Infrastructure: Our college is excellent for laboratory purposes. Everything related to our mechanical department can be seen practically. The quality of food is good. In hostel, rooms are well maintained. Restrooms are also well-maintained and hygienic. Emergency medical purposes are also available in our college. Velammal is one of the best places to study and participate in sports and games.

Faculty: Faculty members are friendly. They are well-trained to take care of future engineers. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are easy and helpful for future learning. The pass percentage is 50%, and everyone will get pass easily.

Know about our college. Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty.

Placements: Percent of students who were placed in our course are 70%. Top recruiting companies for your course are not here, but they came here. IT industries are TCS, CTS, SIFY, and WIPRO. The highest, lowest, and average packages offered in your course are 9 LPA, 2.5 LPA, and 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: Nothing about infrastructure is the worst. Old labs and equipment and machines. In hostels, lift service is not available, and the quality of food available in the mess and canteen is the worst. Medical facilities, sports, and games are available in the college.

Faculty: The teacher is a helpful and knowledgeable person, not a level of teaching in new technologies. The course curriculum is relevant to the subjects. The semester exams in this college are difficult. We need to score more marks in the internal exam, and then the semester exam is easy.

Other: The best thing about your course is we enjoyed the life. We conduct a symposium in August 2023. The name of the symposium is DXM 2k23. Some events are conducted by the college. Scholarships are provided.

Our college provides placements with good packages but I am not satisfied with the infrastructure.

Placements: About 65% to 70% of students got placed in our batch, and the remaining took off to higher studies and entrepreneurship. In mechanical engineering, it was difficult to get a good job in core companies. But a job in an IT company is a possibility. Top recruiting companies were Infosys, Wipro, TCS, CTS, and Zoho. Our college provides job guarantees unless you follow the placement cell instructions keenly.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was not available on campus because they don't allow any electronic device unless it is necessary. Laboratories were good. During the summer semester, classrooms temperature was high. Our college had a well-maintained library. There were 2 to 3 sections for each department and had infotainment books.

Faculty: Faculty members were not good. They helped us to pass semester exams. The management only focuses on exams and placements. So there is no hope for research and development in your career. The syllabus was good and it was designed by Anna University.

Other: I would recommend joining this college if you are opting for a job and want a decent career. If you are passionate and research-oriented this is not your place.

Gives satisfaction only on comparing with similar tier 2 colleges .

Placements: Mostly the bulk recruiting companies like CTS, TCS, Wipro and Infosys visits the campus and provide offer for almost 20 percentage of students. Remaining 10 to 15 percentage will get offers from highly competitive companies like Amazon, Valeo, Samsung etc. , Placement support post graduation will be provided for unplaced students. The packages offered for the students ranges from 1.8 LPA to 12 LPA. Internship opportunities won't be provided from college end student has to look for it. Comparing with other colleges in locality velammal might be quite better option.

Infrastructure: Only few departments will have all infrastructure needed for the curriculum. Mechanical engineering department had lab facilities that covers curriculum. In rainy seasons ground cannot be accessed for sports only indoor auditorium can be accessed. Hostel life will be better in this college comparing with day scholar life as the college is located outside the city limits. Hostel will give you lot good memories making 4 years to pass quickly.

Faculty: None the colleges Affiliated under Anna University will have a industry ready curriculum. The curriculum will provide only the methods followed at previous decade in an industry. The current decade technologies has to be learnt on students own interest. Velammal college conducts three to four test prior to semester similar to school.

Other: College has stopped conducting cultural events since 2018. Some departments with high students strength have funds to organise department events. Department having lower strength will not organise any events. However OD will be provided for selected students to attend other events outside the campus.

It is a very good college with great infrastructure.

Placements: About 35% of the students got placed from college. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 3 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college were TVS, CTS, Wipro and Infosys. Roles offered was as a fresher.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was decent, with good classrooms. Labs and library were available, but they were not air-conditioned. Wi-Fi connection was not available. I was a day scholar. Only hostel students were allowed to eat food in the mess. There were very good medical facilities as well. If in case anybody gets injured, they will get treated immediately.

Faculty: Teachers were very good in their lectures and were very supportive of students on academics. They were also very supportive of giving suggestions on personal life as well. The course curriculum was relevant and will make interested students ready for the industry.
