College has good placement records and is worth the money, campus life is the worst.
Placements: Around 95% of the students are placed from CSE department every year. The highest package offered is 12 Lacs per annum and the lowest is 3 Lacs per annum. The average package offered is 4.5 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies include Amazon, IBM, Zoho, Capegemini, TCS, etc. Around 85% percentage of the students got internships from good companies. Main roles offered are Software developer, Software tester, Software designer and Data Analyst.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi available in some areas of the college but the signal isn't good. We have Labs for Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical, Civil, and Automobile departments. The quality of the labs isn’t good as they are not maintained properly. Each department has a projector and some other basic facilities to enhance learning. The college does have a big library but the books aren't regularly updated. Hostel facilities are not good, the food quality is decent but food isn't tasty. Medical facilities including an ambulance are available.
Faculty: The teachers are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is pretty good. The course curriculum could be improved as it contains some unnecessary subjects, which in my opinion don’t make the students industry ready but provides a good foundation. The semester exams are not hard for programming languages, but the other exams are quite difficult. The pass percentage has always been above 95%.
Other: I chose Computer Science because I needed a solid foundation in order to choose a specialization later on. The best thing about CSE is that you get a good grasp of everything and can have a solid foundation. The course curriculum could be improved and unwanted subjects like Tamil, EVS, Constitution of India can be removed. As I mentioned previously, our college has the worst campus life.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure in velammal engineering college is good compare to other near engineering college in Chennai. There are one common library for all the departments and there is a separate library for each departments according to the course structures.
Faculty: In velammal engineering college the teacher is helpful in studies and extra curriculum activities. The teacher help the students after the college time finishes. The course curriculum is very relevant to the latest technology since it is a autonomous institution.

I am highly satisfied with its placements and studies.
Placements: Almost 98% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 20 LPA. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Zoho, Kaar Technologies, etc. More than 95% of students got internships in top companies.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available like Wi-Fi, and laboratory, and classrooms. There is free Wi-Fi in the hostel, but the speed is slow. It also provides a library and several books are available. The library contains almost all the books. I am a day scholar. But I heard from friends that the food quality is good at affordable prices. Medical facilities are available. Sports are also average in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and experienced. The teaching quality is excellent. This college is known for its academics. Our course curriculum s relevant and makes us ready for the upcoming placements. It is an autonomous college, so they have the right to prepare its syllabus. The pass percentage is more than 85%. Semester exams are moderate. If we study properly then it will be easy to score 85 marks.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in learning and working with computers. The best thing about this course is the placements. I wish to improve our college infrastructure. Events are conducted. Scholarships are also provided to merit students. Our college also encourages students for a better future. Extracurricular activities are also conducted.

Our college had good placements in 2021.
Placements: Nearly 75% percentage of B.E. CSE students got placed in the previous academic year 2021. Our college has allowed the students to get multiple offers, at least 2 offers. Various popular companies like Zoho, TCS, Infosys, and Amazon will offer average salary packages up to 3 LPA. The highest salary package offered is up to 17 LPA. There is a special training class for placements from the 1st year onwards. Generally, our college is well known for its placements percentage.
Infrastructure: Basically, I like our college infrastructure but compared to other engineering colleges, it might be dull. Our college consists of library, medical health center, play ground, indoor stadium, mess, canteen, free Wi-Fi, well-built classrooms, and neat restrooms. The college hostel is also good and the food is of average quality and especially, the lunch is so bad. Our college encourage students to participate in many sports and extra curricular activities. There are volleyball, cricket, badminton, kabaddi, athletics, throwball, tennis court, etc. Various sports and games are available in our college.
Faculty: Our college staff members are so friendly and are more helpful to understand the topics. They are well experienced and good at communication. There are cycle tests, model exams, and unit tests that will be conducted each semester for our internal marks. If we use the faculty members well, we will definitely get good marks at semester exams.

Velammal Engineering College is a good campus.
Placements: More students are getting placed. The company offers a good salary package and they like to take a student skill-based, it will more useful to learn. Top companies are also offering a lot of jobs related to our branch. The highest package is now 18 LPA and the lower package is 7 LPA per annum.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure and labs are well organised by a lab technician. Extracurricular activities are also encouraged and they teach them to students. They are maintained well compared to others it looks as good in case of any system error in during lab are well prepared to solve the problems so nothing to happen.
Faculty: Faculty are in good manners. Teachers are not only teaching a subject they teach a lot of them and share our experiences. They tell us about how to make a fulfilling life so that will motivate us. At the end semester, they react to us with friendly interaction, the main thing to communicate with students is the main thing.
Other: Our batch is fully fun-filled, we are enjoying the college days and we are enjoying studying with their faculty.
