It is one of the best college of Sangli.

Placements: Above 90% of the students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered till now was about 10 LPA given to a computer science engineering student. But the company was non-technical, and it was not in the technical area. It is a pleasant process and easy also because college gives you proper support.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good along with completion of all the needs along with well-equipped laboratories and talented tutors. We are getting all the facilities which include food, health, sports, library, hostel, classrooms and laboratories, and the living space is also neat and clean. The best part is that our university is situated above a hill away from the city area so we are getting a fresh and clean environment to live in.

Faculty: The quality of our teachers is the best and as we approach them we always get proper and satisfying answers from them in every situation. We are learning through an updated syllabus along with the updated way of learning and majorly we focus on practicals first as science is the subject of experiments.

Other: I am feeling proud to be a student of this college. Our college has both negative and positive perspectives. But apart from the negative perspective, the positive perspective of Walchand College of Engineering is lowering the negativeness and spreading the positiveness in the environment of Sangli.

The college should provide an internship to all PG students.

Placements: About 50% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.6 LPA. TCS and Innovators visited our campus for placements and offered the highest salary package for students. In the year 2018, about 40% of the students from our course got an internship.

Infrastructure: Facilities like classrooms and Wi-Fi available in our college were excellent. Our college library is one of my favourites I have ever seen. The college provides average facilities in the hostel. Quality of food served is average. The canteen is good. The college provides a huge ground for cricket. The college also provides all indoor games.

Faculty: For PG, staff members are not so good as UG can have. All senior faculty members are assigned to UG students. Lectures are conducted projectors, which is a good thing. Many temporary staff members are not good in their knowledge. Many staff members need to do more work on their skills.

WCE, Sangli is a perfect college for your graduation.

Placements: Placements in the college are very good. As it is the 3rd top college in Maharastra, it maintains the same reputation. Students from CS and IT have got the salary package of 37.5 LPA from Microsoft. A few other companies offering higher packages of 22 LPA, 15.4 LPA, 17 LPA (BPCL), 11 LPA (Symantec) visited the college. Most of the companies which offer salary packages in between 7 LPA to 8 LPA visit the college to hire the students. For mechanical, the placements are very good. Last year, almost 80% of the mechanical students got placed in the college placements. Around 75% of the students are in the core companies with salary packages in between 4 LPA to 5 LPA. Last year, BPCL visited the college to hire mechanical students with a package of 17 LPA. Some students got jobs before starting their final year.

Infrastructure: It is a government college, and it was established in 1947, so don't expect a modern high-class infrastructure. All the infrastructure in the college is of 1980's era. But, it has its own beauty which is getting rare these days. We have a hostel facility, a very big library facility, reading rooms for both boys and girls, a gym, a ground for cricket, basketball court, volleyball court, and badminton court. Overall, it is a very good place to live. Big computer labs are also available in the college.

Faculty: As it is an autonomous college, the faculty members are very intelligent. Most of them are PhD or M.Tech holders from reputed IITs, and a few are from IISC. They are very supportive. The college has a competitive atmosphere, and it has participated in Supra, Baha, Robocon, and I don't know the names of all the competitions in which our college has participated. Due to autonomy, our college has its syllabus and exam pattern.

Other: The annual function is organised in March, in the college. There are many groups in the college. They organise blood donation camps. Art circle organises music classes, street plays, etc. There are many technical and non-technical competitions, viz., games and a treasure hunt are organised all around the year. The campus is very good, but the problem is that Sangli is not a developed area, so the students from cities like Pune and Mumbai might find this place boring in the beginning just like me.

Best college for placement.

Placements: 366 (graduate + post graduate) students have got selected for different companies and 200 students have got one year internship. Average package for placement is around 5 Lacs and for internship its around 15000 per month. Companies like Microsoft, bpcl, Siemens, john deere, dell, TCS, cummins, west global, 3DPlm and so on have visited for placement and internship till now. The highest package given by Microsoft is 36 Lacs. Placement cell is really helping students for getting job by arranging different programmes like aptitude training, communication skill etc.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in full College campus with high-speed. Labs and classrooms are equipped with high quality pc's and projectors. They are neat and clean. College canteen food is not up to mark. Library is digital and is very large. You can find any book there. Study room is also available. Sport ground is very big and gymnasium is also available with all facilities. I haven't faced any infrastructure issue till now. Hostel rooms are also big, 2 students per room.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified having Ph.D. in different subjects. They are helpful always. Power point presentation is mostly used as teaching method. Industrial visits are generally arranged for industrial exposure. Course syllabus is well designed fir students to get deep knowledge about the topics.

Other: Vision is the name of main event arranged by college. Its national level event. Department wise events are also arranged. Extracurricular activities like Gathering, sports days, Days like traditional and others happens time to time.

Placements: - Placement is very good for our batch and our senior batch also. - From our batch, there are 87% students placed and previous year, this percentage was around 91%. - This year, the highest package offered by BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Co. A gym is also available on the campus with a trainer. - Wi-Fi is available with high speed. - Labs are available for us for 24-hours. - Classroom condition is also good with a good ventilation facility. Blackboards & projectors are also available for every classroom. - We have a digital library (Ajit Gulabchand Digital Library) which is the 3rd top library in Maharashtra. - In the campus, there is one medical room with one expert doctor for us. - Canteen facility is not that good as expected but it is okay as compared to other engineering colleges. - Hostel rooms are also maintained well and the hostel mess is quite good.

Faculty: - Here, the staff is well qualified, that is almost 40-50% faculty members have completed their M.tech or PhD. from IITs. Many faculty members are very helpful. -Teaching methods are usually projection slides and a very few are using blackboards nowadays. - The student-faculty ratio is average.

Other: I love my college because my college provide all those things that need to be a perfect Engineer. Infrastructure is old constructed. Placement is 100% for civil, CSE and IT. Canteen is not too good. Facilities are awesome. Other type of Facilities are also good. Faculty is awesome. All old Facilities is there. Civil and CSE and mechanical is the best branch of my college. One of the oldest and prestigious Institute in Maharashtra. Good placement support. Placements are overwhelmingly as high as 99 %. Also has strong Alumni base in various industries.

Other: For M.tech placement, this is one of the good colleges. The environment is very good. You will have a lot of options for your career. Especially for CSE & IT, there are multiple college placement options available. Hostel facilities are very poor & canteen facilities need to be improved. Especially, the electronics pg. The lab is the perfect place for your project work. College fees are little bit high but other facilities are the best.
