The College Campus Was Neat and Peaceful

Placements: The placement process starts from the 5th term, which is from the 2nd year onwards. Companies like Tata Capital, Ujjivan, UPL, Sarda Groups, Mahindra Finance, RBL, Axis, Rise African, etc., visited the campus. The highest package was offered by Rise African. Profiles offered include Development, Agri, Finance, Marketing, etc. 100% placement was offered.

Infrastructure: One table, one chair, one bed, and a cupboard are provided, and only double-sharing rooms are available. The meal quality and food menu are also good compared to other college hostels. Hostel accommodation is easily affordable at Rs 25,000 per semester and food around Rs 6,000 per month. I was in the hostel, so I don’t know about any locality for PG. But it will be available around the college.

Faculty: As I completed my Bachelor in Urban Planning, I pursued Urban Management for my master's. The faculty-to-student ratio is excellent, as it is a very niche program, with a ratio somewhere between 1:1 and 1:2. The faculty members are very well-qualified, most of them having completed their Ph.D. Exams are held every 3 months, and the 2 years are divided into 6 trimesters.

Other: This is one of the few top 20 B-schools where fees are decent and you can afford it easily. Also, the infrastructure is among the best with a rich library and classrooms and labs equipped with all the modern facilities. It has one of the coolest cafeterias and tea joints inside the campus. Bloomberg terminal is also present. Crowd and campus life is what I found the best here. Events and activities keep the campus live even at midnight. Some of the faculty here in finance and marketing is really knowledgeable and experienced, though it can be better. The average salary is decent to expect from a 15-20th ranked B-school.

Other: The ever-increasing obsession with the provision of education at XIMBs is definitely responsible for creating stumbling blocks in the minds of the students seeking to pursue a masters in management science. My experience with this university is enviable. Decent classes, rich faculty, cultured people, learned programme, fantastic culture-- isn't that enough to make the best out of you? The rich and powerful alumni are placed all over the globe especially in the middle east and south-east Asia. Proves how well we do once we are out, revering no!! In India, there is a fixed predisposition with respect to XIMBs. We are at par with them, if not better. We are a part of a larger system having a bigger share of the sky above our heads which provides us with the nourishment of life. A melting pot of different religions, culture, traditions is all that makes us the best.

Other: This is one of the few colleges in India which are focused on academics and less on show offs. The rigor and the focus of the college on holistic development of the individual are amazing. It also has a huge pool of alumni at great positions in the industry, which is the place of pride for a college just 27 years old. The late night outs finishing assignments, the surprise quizzes, the projects for every course, helps in molding an individual as a true professional.

Other: Xavier community is always the best place to have your education because the discipline and the values which are practiced help you post your studies also. One of the best college in terms of research and professors. Very good permanent faculty and we are able to manage good visiting faculty members too. The best thing is the student legacy in various areas beyond the classroom. Because I firmly believe that you only learn outside the college from your peer and various other activities. Xavier community firmly believes in imparting par excellence education. Hence, the focus on marketing the college is almost absent. Hence this ultimately haves impact in getting new companies to college. Our college is at par with top IIMS and FMS in terms of studies, professors, infrastructure and students but marketing effort is lacking.
