ZHCET MTech is a four-year full-time course offered across multiple specialisations including Chemical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Civil Engineering , Electrical Engineering, Nanotechnology, Materials Science & Technology, and more. ZHCET AMU is affiliated to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). The institute is ranked 23 for Government Engineering by India Today 2021.
For MTech admission at Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology, candidates must be graduates from a recognised board. MTech admission is offered based on the candidate’s performance in GATE. Further, candidates without the exam score are selected for the remaining vacancies through Departmental Test. Zakir Husain College of Engineering & Technology (ZHCET) MTech admissions will open soon for the academic year 2025. Candidates must complete the entire admission process, including the application process, selection process, test, counselling, & accepting the offer letter. 1: ZHCET MTech Application Process 2025
Candidates with valid qualifications can visit the official website of Aligarh Muslim University to apply for the MTech course at ZHCET. Candidates can follow the below steps:
1: Go to the official site of ZHCET & click on the hamburger icon
2: Click on the 'Admissions & Exams' option
3: Click on 'Application Forms for Admission'
4: Click on the 'New User' registration tab
5: Create an alphanumeric username & password, & provide the candidate's name & email ID
6: On the next page, click on the hamburger icon
7: Step-wise clickable options will open up.
8: Conclude the application process by paying the registration fee by credit card/ debit card/net banking.
2: Selection Process
ZHCET MTech selection process is inclusive of entrance exams. Candidates must have valid scores in the state-level exam GATE 2025. The GATE papers have three major sections; General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics & Specific Subject. There are 65 questions asked for 100 marks in the GATE exam.

3: Departmental Entrance Test
After the candidates are shortlisted based on their GATE 2025 exam score, candidates without the exam score are invited to the in-house entrance exam for the remaining seats after the first selection rounds. To be eligible for the test candidates must have the valid MTech eligibiltiy criteria & candidates must not be more than 27 years old as of 01st July in the year of admission.
4: Counselling
Following the entrance exam, candidates must register for AMU counselling. Candidates selected/short-listed for admission are required to go through the Counselling Procedure & register for Counselling & subsequent completion of admission (including payment of Admission Charges) on the portal Shortlisted candidates must report physically at the university campus for document verification.
5: Document Verification & Fee Payment
The final in the admission process is to visit the university campus for document verification. After the verification of original documents, candidates must confirm their admission by submitting the ZHCET MTech fees charged at admission.
