Every day is a new experience at college: Kishor Jadhav
I secured a percentage of 79.20% & 75.23% in class 10and 12 respectively. While I did my primary schooling in Beed, I moved to Ahmednagar for my senior secondary education. To get into a good mechanical engineering college, I worked hard and got a good score in JEE. The reason why I chose to do mechanical engineering is that as I got more exposure in technology, it made me more interested in learning. With the guidance of my relatives and teachers, I was quite confident at an early age that I want to do engineering.
To get into an engineering college, there are all India examinations that are conducted for it. They are namely JEE MAIN, MHCET and AEEE. I gave the JEE MAIN and MHCET for the engineering field. To prepare for the exams I joined a local coaching class called PLPC. With some hard work, I secured a score of +50 in JEE Mains and 74 for MHCET. Even though I was aiming higher, this score was enough for me to get into Amrutvahini College of Engineering in Sangamner through the OBC category.
Every day is a new experience at college as I learn new skills and new ideas get ingrained in my head. Breaks are usually spent spending time with friends while the rest of the day goes into lectures and other academic stuff. One thing about this college is that its appearance is deceptive, i.e. it looks inviting from the outside but from the inside, it’s a different story. It is only academics that are given priority while they show that they have a holistic curriculum. There are two 3-hour sessions that are held every day. English is a subject that is neglected completely. Even though the college has most of the amenities, the gym, which should be a must, is neglected and is poorly maintained. The college has been accredited by NAAC 3 times.
One of the good things about the college is that its big i.e. 22 acres and has 24-hour electricity supply. As the college is 33 years old, its academic and placement record is good. But the rest of the facilities and the way things are done is not good. The only other exciting thing apart from academics in this college is the cultural festival, MEDHA, that brings together the entire college and makes it look vibrant.
