AEEE 2026 Counselling: CSAP Starts
Counselling: 14 May ' 26 - 25 May ' 26
Amrita University conducts a common seat allocation process (CSAP). Candidates with AEEE 2026 rank or JEE Mains 2026 percentile score or rank have to register for CSAP 2026. Note that class 12 marks are not considered for the allotment, and it is required only after the confirmation of admission. All candidates have to register for CSAB and enter their choice of Amrita campus (Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Nagercoil and Haridwar) and branch for admission. The candidates are allotted seat based on their entrance exam rank and seat availability.
AEEE seat allotment is fully online, and there is no need for the candidates to visit the campus to attend the counselling. All the candidates with AEEE 2026 rank or JEE Mains 2026 Percentile Score /Rank shall be intimated by Email, SMS, and WhatsApp about the AEEE 2026 counselling.

AEEE 2026 Counselling Fee
After the release of AEEE result 2026, candidates have to register for AEEE 2026 counselling. To register for AEEE counselling, candidates have to pay INR 5000.
Some important instructions:
- The registration fee is non-refundable.
- The registration fee is refundable only if the candidate fails to get any Academic Preference even in the last round of CSAP.
- Registration fees will not be refunded if a candidate withdraws from CSAP.
- Registration does not guarantee admission.
- Applicants are allowed to register for CSAP till the last allotment.

The AEEE 2026 phase 2 result is out at the Amrita online admission portal for all test-takers. Candidates can access their rank by logging in with their registered mobile number and OTP.
- 70% of seats are reserved for candidates qualifying through AEEE 2026.
- 30% of seats are filled based on JEE Main 2026 All India Ranks.
The AEEE result is released separately for all phases. Candidates who appear for more than one phase must note that their best score out of all the phases is considered for admission.

Below is the selection process for Amrita BTech admission 2026 through the Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam:
- Register for AEEE 2026: To begin with, aspirants need to register for AEEE exam if they are eligible.
- AEEE 2026 Slot booking: Applicants must do the slot booking to appear in the entrance exam. Admit cards can be downloaded after booking the slot.
- Download AEEE 2026 Admit Card: AEEE admit cards can be downloaded from the official website. To download the same, aspirants will need their application number and date of birth.
- Appear for AEEE entrance exam 2026: AEEE is conducted in online mode. Aspirants are advised to reach the exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam.
- Check AEEE 2026 exam result: AEEE result will be declared on the official website on a new date. The result will be a candidate's merit position, scorecard with total marks, and marks obtained in each subject.
- Appear for AEEE 2026 Counselling: Aspirants who clear the exam need to appear for AEEE counselling through online CSAP registration.

Purpose of exam: AEEE is entrance exam for admission to 19 unique BTech programs offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham across its 8 campuses. The Amrita BTech admission via AEEE includes registering using AEEE mode, booking exam slots, downloading the admit card, appearing for the exam, checking the result and registering for the Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP).
Scores accepted by Amrita campuses: Eight Amrita campuses offering BTech - Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Nagercoil and Haridwar accept AEEE and JEE Main scores for BTech admissions. 70 percent of BTech seats will be filled based on AEEE scores and 30% seats will be filled based on JEE Main.
Who can apply: Candidates who have passed class 12 with PCM can apply for Amrita BTech admission via AEEE exam.
Mode of exam: AEEE exam is held in computer-based test mode only at various test centres spread across nation.
Frequency: AEEE exam dates are announced on the official website. The exam is held twice a year. Candidates have the option to appear in both or either phase.
NEW AEEE exam pattern: From 2026, AEEE exam pattern has undergone some changes. Instead of previous four sections in exam, there will now be five sections. A new section has been added this year, which is Quantitative Aptitude. Now, there will be a total of 100 questions, with 40 questions in Maths, 25 in Physics, 20 in Chemistry, 10 in Quantitative Aptitude and 5 in English. The total time of exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Marking scheme: Each question carries 3 marks, and any wrong attempt leads to a negative marking of 1 mark.
Syllabus: Based on Class 11 and Class 12 PCM syllabus.
Application Process: Online registration at amrita.edu, and candidates can choose their preferred AEEE exam date and time.
Number of applicants: As per unofficial data, around 1 lakh students register, but only about 50,000 appear for AEEE exam.

Maths has the maximum weightage in AEEE CBT exam. It carries a total of 120 marks. This section has 40 MCQs and each MCQ carries 3 marks. Thus candidates must focus in this section and try to score well. Candidates must adhere to the AEEE syllabus and prepare all the topics given in the maths section. Through the syllabus of AEEE, candidates can get an idea of the topics, subtopics, chapters, and units to be covered while preparing for the AEEE exam. The questions in AEEE are based on the syllabus in Class 11 and 12. All the questions are of Multiple Choice Types and have four answers of equal weightage.
Candidates have to contact the authorities of Amrita University in case they enter invalid email id in their AEEE application form. The candidates are advised to have their own personal and valid email ID and mobile number. Candidates can check the campuses that offer BTech specialisation that they are interested in on the official website. Not all campuses will offer all the specialisations. For example, the Coimbatore campus offers all specialisations except for Electronics & Computer Engineering. Similarly, exceptions are applicable in other campuses too.
