I am trying to make the most of the current situation in many ways: Kandarp, NU
These are first-hand student accounts on how our young population is managing to keep their exam prep or college course work going from the confines of their homes. In case you want to share your lockdown study experience, write to us at publish@shiksha.com.
Due to the lockdown situation, the daily schedule of every person has changed. Through this article, I am going to share how and where I am utilising my time these days. I am making the most of the current situation by adopting the following ways.
1. Online Classes
Yes, I am taking online classes daily as conducted by my institute. Though the frequency is a bit less than regular classes but then also at least daily lectures of one of the subjects is conducted regularly. This makes me feel great and positive as even in the lockdown situation my studies are not stopped or disturbed. After the lecture, I revise the topic that is taught in the lecture. Honestly, I enjoy these online classes as it is something new and different from the regular college lectures. I guess you might have also been enjoying it if you are taking online classes.
Thus, I find online lectures to be advantageous and beneficial in many ways, however, one disadvantage of these lectures is that the practical work of some of the subjects becomes a bit challenging. Except this, there is no major disadvantage for me.
2. Project Work and Assignments
It is obvious that after the lecture we get some assignments as homework. So, I have to devote some of my time in completing my assignments and try to submit it on or before the given deadline. Apart from this, I am also working on my final year project which is the most important work for final year engineering students which requires time and effort to get the best results.
3. Exam Preparation
I think everyone’s exam is postponed due to the lockdown. It is a great opportunity for students in terms of preparation. I have also got some extra days for my exam preparation and I am utilising these days effectively to improve my result.
4. Contribution, Yoga and Creative Things
Apart from the above things, I also write various articles on the subjects or topics provided by shiksha.com. I also do yoga regularly which helps me relaxing and staying fit. I would suggest you to do yoga for at least 15 to 20 minutes. Trust me, it would be beneficial to you. Also, I read some good books in my spare time.
One thing is obvious about these days is that many of us are utilising our time in learning new things. I hope you are also seeing this lockdown as a good opportunity and productively utilising your time.
