KCET vs COMEDK – Explanation
Both KCET and COMEDK exams are conducted for admissions to engineering courses. Candidates can appear for both exams to increase their chances of admission to engineering colleges.
KCET Exam: Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the KCET exam for admissions to government engineering colleges. Applicants first must apply and appear in the exam to secure admission to engineering colleges.
COMEDK UGET Exam: Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka conducts COMEDK exam every year for the admissions to private engineering colleges.
Karnataka Examination Authority releases the KCET marking scheme 2025 in the official notification. Applicants appearing in the exam will be awarded one mark for every correct answers. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers in KCET 2025 exam. KEA will not deduct any marks for unattempted questions in KCET exam. - If the tie still persists, the candidate with more marks in Mathematics (for engineering) or Aptitude Test (for architecture) will be ranked higher.
- If the tie still persists, the candidate with more marks in Physics (for engineering) or Drawing Test (for architecture) will be ranked higher.
- If the tie still persists, the candidate with higher age will be ranked higher.
Applicants must note that Architecture admissions in both exams will be done through NATA exam.
