BBD University, Lucnkow

I was always fascinated with Science hacks, and I was eager to know about the principles behind any change in the environment. So, I opted for the Science stream in my XIth standard.

The right course and the best college

I live in a place which is known as the ‘Power Capital of India'. Surrounded by many thermal power generating plants, I was always curious about how they produced electricity and how actually they worked. That made me choose Electrical Engineering.

I was not very good at studies, so I did not get admission in a government college. So, I started finding the best private college for me. And then, I found BBD University, Lucnkow. An autonomous college where along with studies, a great emphasis is given on the personality development of students. Fests conducted throughout the year in the college give many chances to groom oneself. That was the main reason I decided to get admission in BBD University, Lucknow.

For admission, there was no entrance exam, only a personal interview with the Registrar. Eligibility criteria was having a score of more than 60% in aggregate in class 12 (Science).

College life-A path to success

Yes, it means a lot in your success that how you spend your 4 years in college. BBD has everything; from a modern mall and a cafeteria, to a nice central library.

My experience of BBD changed as the years passed. In the 1st year, I enjoyed a lot by skipping lectures, going for movies, hanging out at cafeteria, malls and exploring new places with friends, enjoying in the college fests, Ganesha Mahotsav and much more. In the 2nd year, things changed and I started focusing on studies. I was lucky enough that I got some good mentors who supported me in getting back on track. And in the 3rd year, I started gaining pace achieving my success which was very important at that stage. In the same year, a new personality development course was introduced in our college taught by some of the best professionals in India. That course helped us become a professional from a student. In the 6th semester, I scored 9.31 and topped in my branch.

Today, I am doing my vocational training from Aditya Birla, arranged by my college. Aditya Birla has an ‘A' grade Training Center in India. The trainers here are highly qualified and experienced.

So from my personal experience, I would liek to say that you need to be motivated enough to succeed in life, and the motivation for this comes when you choose a subject of your interest.
