One can crack the interview easily now
By: Samarth Agarwal
Good communication skills are essential for creating a positive first impression on the interviewer. One should work on enhancing their communication as well as listening skills to get success in the interview
In this modern world, every youngster dreams about a good corporate job with a luxurious lifestyle. After gaining some experience, professionals try to switch to other companies for various reasons. The questions that come in everyone’s mind often confuses the person like am I prepared for these organisations? What are employers looking for? and so on.
The answer to these questions is to keep self-updating with the market standards as well as technologies in trend and another important factor is networking.
Preparation for the interview plays a crucial role in the selection of the candidate. Every point in terms of technical skills, communication skills, problem-solving skills, etc. of the candidate is assessed by the interviewer. Other details like the attire, gesture, posture, and so on are also assessed during the interview. For instance, touching hair or spectacles repeatedly, shaking legs/ feet, etc. creates a negative impact in front of the recruiter which might result in getting a negative response from them.
The first thing to keep in mind while appearing for an interview is to look for the job profile and role offered along with the company’s profile. The employer could ask this question, “why do you want to join us?” The answer given should be smart and impressive.
In case, the interviewer might give an example of two major organisations and ask whom you want to work for and why?
The candidate needs to justify the reason why he is the best resource for the particular post or job role with confidence and by giving valid points.
In some organisations, the results are given on the spot whereas some companies notify the candidates through email. After the selection, the candidate should not get overwhelmed, instead shake hands with the interviewer and acknowledge by saying, “Thanks a lot for this opportunity, I will not let you down!!”.
The employer might further ask if there are any queries, in such a scenario, keep the following dos and don’ts in mind:
Do’s
- What do you expect from me?
- What is the work culture of the company?
- How is practical exposure in the organisation?
Dont’s
- After how much time I will get an increment in my salary?
- How many leaves will be provided?
