By: Ram Ashish Yadav
Preparation starts with the JEE Main syllabus and the topics, which covers the highest marks in the paper. If you are in Class 11 or 12 then it is a bonus point for you to excel in JEE Main Paper as Physical and Organic Chemistry from NCERT can be referred for JEE Mains.
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), is an examination organised by National Testing Agency (NTA) in India. An organised study plan is a key to success in JEE main. To crack JEE Main you must be well-versed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Class 11 and 12. Preparation starts with the JEE Main syllabus and the topics, which covers highest marks in the paper. If you are in Class 11 or 12 then it is a bonus point for you to excel in JEE Main Paper as Physical and Organic Chemistry from NCERT can be referred for JEE Mains but not for JEE Advance. Studying NCERT is enough for Inorganic Chemistry. If you are Class 12 passed out and preparing for JEE Main paper then you must do the same as above and make a good timetable to focus on all the subjects. Revising of the topics is an important factor for success in JEE Main. Every day a student must give two hours to revise particular topic studied earlier.
Now let us talk about preparation by a student who is in Class 11 or 12 and attending school every day, how can they prepare for JEE Main? School attending students must keep focus in class during Physics and organic Chemistry Periods, as it remains a high chance that JEE Main paper is designed on this basis of NCERT books in addition, for Inorganic Chemistry NCERT book is enough to score good marks. The school student must make a good timetable to study at home and make a time slot for every subject. So, none of the subject’s remains untouched.
Students, who have passed Class 12, who are preparing for JEE Mains have more time to prepare for the paper, they must make a good timetable and revision timetable as well. They also should cover the NCERT books and solve previous year’s papers, which will boost their confidence.
For the entire student preparing for JEE Main, must study the Topics such as Work, Energy and Power, Electrostatics, Current, Electricity, Wave Optics, Ray Optics because these topics have maximum weightage in JEE Mains. Prefer books like HC Verma for preparation along with NCERT. For Chemistry, study NCERT books which are best for JEE. For Mathematics, R D Sharma and SL Loney are the best books to go through.
Studying smartly increases your chance of selection in JEE Mains. Time management is an important factor for cracking JEE. Also, solving previous years’ JEE Main paper in three hours of fixed duration helps. This will create an ability in you to complete JEE paper on time.
During the last week left for JEE Main, do not panic. Try to revise the syllabus you have studied. Do not try to learn something new topic and revise all the mathematical formulas, Physics Equations and formulas, Chemistry Syllabus which are important for your exam.
