Engineering Colleges accepting JEE Main for B.Tech in Mangalore

The JEE Main 2026 session 2 admit card is available for all shifts.

It is advised that students begin their JEE Main preparation with NCERT books. NCERT class 11 and 12 books for Physics Chemistry and Mathematics are the best to understand basic concepts and solve numerical problems. Along with NCERTs, students can refer to additional books like H. C. Verma and Irodov for Physics. In Mathematics, students can take help from Arihant books. For Chemistry R C Mukherjee, O P Tandon and P Bahadur are best.

Candidates can download the JEE Main admit card until the day of the exam. After the exam day, no admit card would be available on the NTA JEE Main website.

NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam between April 2 and 8. The exact exam dates have been announced. Check below:

Paper 1 will be held on April 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8.

Paper 2a and 2b will be held on April 7.

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Civil Engineering was 25078 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut-offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to NIT Surathkal - National Institute of Technology.

The JEE Main cutoff is the minimum percentile score required to qualify for the JEE Advanced exam. Its is released with the April session result.

Candidates should take JEE Main mock tests at least once a week. However, in the last month before exam, frequency should be increased to 3 to 4 mock exam per week.

There are a total of 60 seats for the IIIT Bangalore BTech+MTech programmes. The institute has 30 seats each for both the integrated courses. IIIT Bangalore carries out seat allotment for these courses based on the applicants scores in the JEE Main examination. The institute reserves the right to revise the seat count in an academic year. It must be taken into account that the mentioned seat intake is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

Yes, Jain University is a good option for BTech course. The university offers four-year full-time BTech courses across 24 specialisations. As per the NIRF 2023 ranking, Jain University was ranked among 101-150 in the Engineering category. Additionally, the university also has good placement records. During Jain University placements in 2023, a total of 407 students were placed across all branches of BTech. Jain University's the highest package stood at INR 30 LPA. The total seats offered for B.E. / B.Tech at Reva University and R.V. College of Engineering are 2100 and 1300, respectively. While Reva University offers this course in 27 specialisations, R.V. College of Engineering offers the same in 17 specialisations. Hence, there are higher chances of getting a seat at Reva University due to higher seats.

All the B.Tech. The branches at NMIT, Bangalore, are very closely matched, offering good placement opportunities to all the students. However, direct comparisons between all show that the CSE branch at NMIT, Bangalore, is slightly better than the others in terms of placement statistics and student reviews. Candidates should do their own comparisons to be sure.

The total seats offered for B.E. / B.Tech at DSU - Dayananda Sagar University and Siddaganga Institute of Technology are 1140 and 1050, respectively. While DSU - Dayananda Sagar University offers this course in 9 specialisations, Siddaganga Institute of Technology offers the same in 12 specialisations. Hence, there are higher chances of getting a seat at DSU - Dayananda Sagar University due to higher seats.
