Engineering Colleges accepting WBJEE for B.Tech in India

In order to get admission to BTech at MCKVIE, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., to pass Class 12 with 45% aggregate with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Applications / Technical Vocational subjects (in both theory and practical) (40% aggregate for reserved category). Further, a 30% aggregate is also required in English from a recognised board. As per the next step, aspirants need to qualify for either JEE Main or WBJEE with a valid score.

Kalyani University admission to most of the courses are offered via scores of various state/ national-level entrance exams. However, the university does not conduct any entrance exams on its own, but it accepts a few state/ national-level entrances conducted by West Bengal state. These include WBJEE, WB JECA, WB JEMAT, CAT, MAT, GATE, etc., for admission to BTech, MCA, MBA and M.Tech programmes. Admission to BTech courses at Aliah University is based on candidates achieved scores in JEE Mains/ AUAT/ WBJEE. As per the admission guidelines of the university's admission officials, direct admission to the BTech programme is not available. Candidates must qualify any of the entrance exams to get admission to the undergraduate engineering course. Candidates have to register themselves online on the official website of Aliah University to fill out the AUAT application forms. Moreover, candidates who have valid scores in WBJEE can get enroll to Aliah University BTech course through the counselling process of WBJEE. 

Yes, Candidates who wish to become a professor after BTech in Electrical Engineering will also be required to complete MTech and PhD in the required discipline.They must clear GATE in order to pursue M.Tech and later pursue PhD in the same discipline. They must demonstrate excellent research skills by grabbing fellowships and submitting research papers across SCOPUS indexed journals.
