Engineering Colleges accepting WBJEE for B.Tech in India

Jadavpur University accepts WBJEE scores for admissions into the BTech courses. However, the 12^th standard qualifying exam eligibility criteria is minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (45% for reserved category). The students should also have minimum 60% in Mathematics and a pass mark in English.

For state level BTech colleges in West Bengal, some seats are reserved for JEE Main qualified candidates. However, most seats are filled through WBJEE. However, private colleges will accept admissions without WBJEE.

For admissions into top colleges under WBJEE, such as Jadavpur University, a good WBJEE rank is usually under 1000 or 2000. Students are advised to rank under 10,000 for higher admission chances into top government colleges.

WBJEE rank card is now available online. To download rank card, students have to go to official website. They will have to log in using application number and password.

WBJEE Counselling 2026 will be conducted in two rounds, namely Round 1 and Round 2, followed by the Defence quota counselling. 

WBJEE cutoff consists of opening and closing ranks that are required for admission. Cutoff varies as per course, college and category selected by students for admission. Round wise cutoff is released online during WBJEE seat allotment.

The WBJEE seat acceptance fee is INR 5000 (refundable). To download the seat allotment letter, the students will have to pay the fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. If the fee is not paid, then they students will not be able to move forward with the admission confirmation process.

Hence, there are higher chances of getting a seat at UEM Kolkata - University of Engineering and Management due to higher seats.

The Candidates must have give the entrance Examination like WBJEE. The aggregate marks for admission into B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.A, B.Sc., integrated undergraduate courses. To take admission into B.Tech/ B.Pharm courses are offered through WBJEE. This is a state-government controlled centralized test, Which is conducted by the WBJEE Board. The Candidate must have 10+2 with 45% marks. The University also accept the entrance examinations like SSU or WBJEE.

Calcutta University BTech admissions are not yet open as counselling rounds have not yet begun. WBJEE counselling is expected to begin in either last week of June or first week of July.
