The BTech Mechanical Engineering syllabus is not the same across all colleges, as every college committee sets a particular coursework pattern at the start of every academic year to be followed for the respective batch. JEE Advanced exam conducted by IIT Madras. Candidates can appear in JEE Advanced two consecutive times. JEE Advanced is held in CBT mode and there are 2 papers in all. Each paper has 3 sections: Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Candidates have to attempt both papers 1 and 2 to be eligible for admission to the IITs. The marking scheme and the distribution of the questions in the exam change every year.

Hi, Both these universities are located in Solan and offer the four year BTech programme across multiple specialisations. While the current and past students of Shoolini University have rated it 4.3/5 on Shiksha, those of Bahra have rated it 3.2/5 in their reviews on Shiksha. But if you compare them on the basis of their fee structure, Bahra University's fee for BTech is Rs 5 Lacs and that of SHoolini is comparatively higher at Rs 6.4 lacs.

Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), also known as JUIT Solan, basis its admission through a merit based system or entrance exams for certain courses. Undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate degrees in a variety of subjects are available at JUIT Solan. These programmes include BTech, MTech, MSc, and PhD. National-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, and so on are used to determine admissions. JUIT offer a full-time BE/BTech programme (4-Years). Students need to score highly on the JEE Main exam in order to be admitted to this program. The JEE Mains shortlisted candidates are invited for the JoSAA counselling.

Candidates willing to take admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Una must fulfil the following requirements:

• The candidate must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with a minimum of 75% aggregate.
• Also, candidates must have valid JEE-Main ranks based on which they can apply for the common counselling process through JoSAA and CSAB.
• Lastly, selected candidates will have to report to the admission cell at IIIT Una for document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam takes place in the month of April every year. Whereas, the application form for Session 2 will be available on the JEE Mains website. The exam is conducted by NTA.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Institute of Engineering and Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
