Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

Courses	Eligibility
M.Sc.	Candidates must be graduate in relevant stream from recognized university
B.E. / B.Tech	Candidate must have passed Diploma in relevant stream from a recognized Institute.
B.Arch	Candidate who have passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Institute/ University can also apply. Candidates appearing for 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics in the current year may also provisionally appear for NATA-2023.
M.E./M.Tech	Candidate must have graduate in relevant stream from recognized board.
MCA	Candidate must have completed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree with above mentioned marks from any recognised University/Institute. OR Candidate who have completed B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or at Graduation Level can also apply. 45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category.
After 10th Diploma	Candidate passed 10th class/equivalent conducted by BSE, Odisha/equivalent are eligible to apply. The lower age limit is 14 years and there is no upper age limit.

NIT Rourkela the highest package for 2025 placements is INR 62.44 LPA. A total of 1290 offers were made this year. Top recruiters of NIT Rourkela this year included Amazon, Deloitte and EY.

The SOA University average package details of 2025 have not been released on the official website. However, the highest package for the past three years of Siksha 'O' Anusandhan placements is out, which is as follows:

Candidates wanting to take admission in a IIT Bhubaneswar M.Tech course should be/ BTech degree pass from a recognised university. The qualifying exam should have been passed with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA in a 10 point scale. Candidates should keep the relevant documents ready with them as well for verification.

All women candidates have to submit a Resident/Nativity Certificate from the concerned Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar in order to claim the women quota The document verification for the allotted candidates will happen at the Nodal Centre, OJEE Cell at Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar only.
