What is Special OJEE?

Special OJEE or 2nd OJEE is the exam conducted for admission to first year courses in all private and government colleges in Odisha against the vacant seats left after the first round of OJEE counselling. Students who want to take admission through OJEE but couldn't appear for the exam can apply through Special OJEE. Special OJEE will be conducted for admissions to BTech, LeTech (Diploma), LeTech (B.Sc), MBA, MCA, MTech, MPlan, MArch and MPharma courses under OJEE. Students who hold a rank in OJEE or JEE Main, do not have to appear for Special OJEE.

Q:   What to do after OJEE cutoffs are released?

After the OJEE cutoff is released, candidates should check the cutoff released by their preferred college. If the candidates match the cutoff, they will be called for the counselling process at various institutes. Candidates will be reqiured to fill in their cjoices of courses and colleges. And after the seat allotment is done they should visit the institute of document verficiation and fee payment. Once the seat is confirmed, they must report to the college on the scheduled date.

OJEE 2026 Result

OJEE result 2026 has been announced online, on June 8, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam can download their scorecards online using their login details. Given below are the steps to know how to download the OJEE result:

After the OJEE results are declared, participating colleges will also release the OJEE cutoff. Candidates who match that cutoff will be called for GDPI rounds. In other words, OJEE results are not the only criteria to get admission to top colleges in Odisha. Students have to clear all three rounds of the selection process to seek admission.

Students who appeared for the Special OJEE exam, will be awarded the ranks which start from 1100001. The 1100478 in the student's OJEE rank card would mean that they appeared for the Special OJEE exam and their rank was 478 among the students who appeared for the Special OJEE exam. 

The counselling for such candidates will be done after the first phase of the OJEE counselling process and considering the JEE Main candidates. The ranking of Special OJEE BTech begins with 1100001 instead of 1.

To be eligible to take admission to the Trident College candidates must have taken OJEE in the relevant year and meet the cutoff. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying exam.

OJEE 2026 Preparation Tips

OJEE exam preparation should start at least six months before OJEE exam date. The OJEE 2026 was held on May 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10. The first thing is to have an organised study timetable which incorporates each topic of OJEE 2026 exam syllabus and at the same time gives the students enough time for revision and practice.

Q:   Can I carry a watch, eatables and water to the OJEE exam centre?
A: 
Eatable and drinks are not allowed inside the OJEE exam centre. But, candidates must carry their personal transparent water bottle to the exam centre and follow the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour at all times. Electronic gadgets including watches, mobile phones, calculators, smart devices, etc. Are prohibited inside the OJEE exam centre. Candidates should carry recent passport size photograph, photo ID (original and photocopy) and OJEE admit card along with them to the exam centre.

Q:   If the OJEE admit card is lost, can I get a duplicate admit card? Do I need to preserve my OJEE admit card after the exam as well?
A: 
The OJEE admit cards will be available to download from the official website. Candidates can download the OJEE admit card multiple times but before downloading the admit card, candidates must make sure that there are no errors in the hall ticket. Once downloaded, candidates should take two or three coloured print outs of the OJEE hall ticket. Also, they must keep the admit card till the admission process is complete as they may be asked to present the OJEE admit card at the time of admission.
Q:   Will the Special OJEE admit card be different from the OJEE admit card?
A: 

Yes, the Special OJEE admit card will be different from the one issued to the candidates for the OJEE exam. Candidates who have appeared for the OJEE exam cannot use the same admit card for the Special OJEE exam and vice-a-versa. 

If the candidates is appearing for the Special OJEE exam, he/she will have to fill a different application form and they will be issued a fresh Special OJEE admit card for that particular session. One OJEE admit card cannot be used for two or more sessions.

OJEE 2026 Eligibility & Application Process

OJEE form fill up date 2026 has been notified by the OJEE Cell. OJEE registration 2026 is an online process. OJEE 2026 application form was available online on the website of OJEE (ojee.nic.in). Students appearing for the OJEE exam were required to fill online application form before last date of application. Only eligible candidates can fill OJEE application form.

Eligibility Criteira

  • Educational Qualification:
    • A Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline (or equivalent).
    • OR a 4-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, or Pharmacy.
  • Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate in the qualifying graduation degree.
  • Final Year Students: Eligible to apply, provided they are in their final year of graduation.
  • Age Limit: No age bar or upper age limit is prescribed.

How to Apply for OJEE 2026

  • Creating a new user profile by filling OJEE registration form with details such as name, date of birth, gender, email ID and phone number, ID proof, etc.

Q:   Which documents are required for OJEE registration?
A: 

The following list of documents will be required for the OJEE registration. The students should keep the scanned copies of the following documents:

  • Recent passport-size photograph

  • Signature

  • Left thumb impression

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • Class 10th mark sheet (for DOB)

  • Qualifying exam mark sheet or certificate

Q:   When will OJEE application form release?
A: 

OJEE application process 2026 started on January 28, 2026. The application form for OJEE was available online till March 29 and the candidates were required to pay the application fee online as well by March 29, 2026. 

Special OJEE registration will begin after the declaration of the OJEE result 2026.

Q:   Can students outside Odisha apply for Special OJEE?
A: 

Yes, students from outside Odisha state can also apply for the Special OJEE exam. However, such candidates can only apply for admissions to the private colleges in Odisha. Only the natives in Odisha are eligible to take admission to the government institutes in Odisha offering admissions through OJEE and 2nd OJEE exam. 

Q:   Is there a fee concession in OJEE?
A: 

No, there is no application fee concession in the OJEE exam. Candidates who register for the OJEE exam by filling the application form need to pay an application fee of INR 1000 for the primary programme. For each subsequent programme, they need to pay an application fee of INR 500. This means, if the student is appearing for MBA as well as MCA, then they need to pay INR 1000 as the base fee and INR 500 for the additional course. Hence, the total application fee turns out to be INR 1500.

Here are some of the important FAQs on OJEE 2026 exam:

Q:   What is age limit for OJEE?
A: 

Any graduate candidate with a 50 percent aggregate can apply for OJEE. The applicant must also be a citizen of India. There is no age bar for the candidates appearing for the exam. However, candidates appearing for BTech Marine Engineering exam must not be more than 22 years of age. 

Q:   Can I change my exam centre after the admit card has been issued for OJEE?
A: 
No, candidates can not make any changes once the OJEE application form has been submitted and the admit card has been issued. Candidates can however, contact the exam conducing authorities if they find any error in the OJEE admit card. Having said that, OJEE exam conducting authorities reserve the right to modify, add or combine any test centre/s if required.
Q:   What should I do if the examination center allotted to me for OJEE is far from my location?
A: 

Once the OJEE examination center is allocated, it is usually final. Hence, if the OJEE exam centre that has been alloted to you if far from the your current location then, plan your journey in advance. Research the location and calculate the estimated travel time and plan to arrive at the center well before the reporting time. Choose a reliable mode of transport to travel to the location and look out for an accomodation in advance if necessary.

Q:   What should I do if there is an error on my OJEE admit card?
A: 
Candidates must carefully check the OJEE admit card before downloading it. If they find an error in the OJEE admit card, candidates must immediately report the same to the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Cell. Candidates must know that OJEE admit card is an important document which is to be carried to the OJEE exam centre. They must carry a coloured print out to the exam centre along with a recent passport size photograph affixed to with and other documents too.
Q:   Will the OJEE admit card include allotted test centre details?
A: 
Yes, the OJEE admit card will mention all the details of the exam centre which has been allotted. Candidates must note that they will not be allowed to change the exam centre. They must reach the OJEE exam centre at least an hour before the exam starts to complete the frisking formalities.
Q:   Is only OJEE score a factor for admission to the colleges in Odisha?
A: 

No, OJEE score is not only factor. Others are:

  1. OJEE scores: Candidates who meet OJEE cutoff score set by colleges are shortlisted for next round.
  2. Group Discussion: In the GD round, candidates are divided into groups and given a topic to discuss.
  3. Personal Interview: The PI stage checks overall personality, communication skills, work experience, academic background, etc. 
  4. Academic Record: Academic record of a candidate is also an important factor in final selection process. 
Q:   What is the scope of OJEE?
A: 

OJEE or Odisha JEE is a state level entrance exam for admission to various colleges in Odisha. The scope of OJEE is that it is a gateway for admission to various UG and PG programmes in colleges in Odisha. Students who wish to pursue courses such as BTech, MBA, MPharma, BPharma, BCAT, Integrated MBA, MCA, etc. can appear for OJEE and take admission to various colleges and universities in Odisha.

Q:   Is the OJEE BPharma syllabus difficult?
A: 

BPharma syllabus of OJEE is easy to moderate. It is similar to other pharmacy entrance syllabuses. The syllabus includes important topics such as Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacognosy, etc. 

Q:   Can the OJEE cutoff change from year to year?
A: 

Yes the OJEE cutoff is different each year. The difference is dependant on various factors such as difficulty level of the exam, number of candidates who qualified, reservation criteria, etc. The OJEE cutoff may change during the different OJEE counselling rounds. 

Q:   If I forget to carry my OJEE admit card to the exam centre, can I show a digital copy?
A: 
No, candidates have to carry a coloured printout of the OJEE admit card to the exam centre to get an entry. OJEE admit card is a mandatory document which is to be carried to the exam centre along with a recent coloured passport size photograph affixed to it. The photograph should match the one uploaded in the OJEE application form.
Q:   Is OJEE application form available offline?
A: 

No, the OJEE application form is available in online mode only which can be filled on official website of OJEE. There is no provision of filling the application form offline. Candidates also need to make an online fee payment.

Q:   Who can apply for OJEE 2026?
A: 

Minimum requirement for appearing for OJEE is graduation. Basic OJEE eligibility criteria include:

  • Age Limit: There is no age bar for the candidates appearing for postgraduate courses, however, candidates appearing for BAMS/BHMS or Pharma must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31
  • Nationality: Candidates appearing for OJEE must be a citizen of India. If they wish to take admissions to government colleges in Odisha then the candidates must be a native of Odisha.
  • Educational Qualification: For undergraduate courses, candidate must have cleared Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board. As for postgraduate courses, they should have Bachelor or Diploma degree from a recognised university or institute
  • Work experience: OJEE exam eligibility criteria do not include work experience. Both working and non-working candidates can apply for the exam
Q:   Can a students appear for OJEE exam after Class 12?
A: 

Candidates who are looking for admission to the undergraduate courses, can fill OJEE application form online after Class 12. 

Class 12 students applying for these courses should fulfil the OJEE eligibility criteria according to their preferred course. 

Q:   Will OJEE Cell conduct official OJEE mock tests?
A: 

Yes, the OJEE cell, exam conducting body, opens and conducts the official OJEE mock test window. This year, OJEE mock test window was opened after the release of the OJEE admit card. Candidates who have registered for the OJEE exam and complete the registration process can take the mock test before the exam.

Q:   Am I eligible for OJEE counselling based on my JEE Mains marks and rank? I have not appeared for Orissa JEE.
A: 
Yes, all the JEE Main rank holders are eligible to take part in the OJEE counselling process for admission to the engineering programmes offered by colleges accepting OJEE scores. Even if the candidates have not appeared for the OJEE exam, they can get admission to various colleges based on their JEE Main scores. Candidates who wish to participate in BAMS/BHMS counselling must have qualified in NEET (UG) with a valid rank. Candidates must get the scores verified at JEE Cell, Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar-751030 in person who are taking a part in the OJEE counselling through JEE Mains or other qualifying entrance exams. JEE rank holders will be eligible to participate in the counselling process irrespective of their admission status.

The OJEE exam is primarily for Lateral Entry (joining directly in the 2nd year). However, a "Special OJEE" is sometimes conducted to fill vacant seats in private colleges after the main counseling is over.

Candidates will know their allotted OJEE exam centre only from OJEE admit card. There is no way to know the test centre before the release of the OJEE admit card.
