I am dissatisfied with this course because of poor teaching.

Placements: Students from our batch were not placed in core companies but IT companies and banking sector companies visited for our branch. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA by Federal Bank. Many students from our course either went for higher studies or forcefully stepped into the IT and banking sectors.

Infrastructure: The excavation engineering course was taught in the mining department. This department was established in 1982 so the infrastructure was old. We had one e-class and the other classrooms were small. Lab instruments were outdated and need to be changed. The environmental lab was good with new apparatus and instruments. Hostel facilities were very good. Food quality and canteen were average. The medical facility was very good that provides free treatments to students and an ambulance was available 24X7. Our college had huge playgrounds for cricket and football and huge badminton and table tennis courts. There was a big lawn and tennis court.

Faculty: Few faculty members were knowledgeable and the rest were very poor in teaching. They shared PPTs and asked students to study on their own. The course curriculum was average. The practical part was very less. The second year was only for projects where students needed to make a thesis and present it. Semester exams were easy to score well. The pass percentage was 100%.

Other: Our college should provide a better quality curriculum, highly qualified faculty members, and advanced labs. The campus crowd was very good. Events, fests, and extracurricular activities were good in our college.
