The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released SSC JHT 2025 answer key for Paper 1. The last date to raise objection against the answer key is September 7, 2025. The exam was conducted on August 12, 2025. A total of 437 vacancies were announced for the exam. 

SSC conducts the SSC Combined Hindi Translator (Junior Hindi Translator) for the recruitment of candidates for the post of Junior Hindi Translators or Junior Translators in different departments and ministries under the Government of India. The recruitment is carried out for various posts such as Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Hindi Pradhyapak.

SSC JHT 2024

SC JHT 2024 final marks was released on August 27, 2025. A total of 272 candidates have been selected for final appointment. The result is made available in PDF form and comprises the roll numbers of qualified candidates.

The complete selection process of SSC JHT is explained below:

Filling the application form

SSC JHT application form is released online on the official website. The application form comprises two parts: Part I (One-Time Registration) and Part II (Filling the application form). The application fees were INR 100 and could be paid both online and offline. Women/SC/ST/ESM candidates were exempted from fee payment. 

Release of Admit Card

SSC JHT admit card is released online separately for Paper 1 and 2. The admit card is released two weeks before the exam on the respective regional websites of the commission. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter the required details. 

Appearing in the Exam

The entrance exam is conducted in two stages: Paper 1 and 2. Based on the marks scored in Paper 1, candidates are shortlisted category-wise to appear in Paper 2. On the basis of the performance in Paper 1 and Paper 2, candidates are shortlisted for Document Verification. The final allocation is done based on the merit-cum-preference. 

Declaration of Result

SSC JHT result is announced online on the official website. The result is made available in PDF form.SSC JHT result displays the roll numbers of qualified candidates. 

SSC JHT Exam Centres 

The exam of SSC Junior Hindi Translator was conducted in more than 100 cities. While filling the application form, candidates are required to indicate three SSC JHT exam centres as per their preferences. SSC reserves the right to allot exam centres to candidates. The address of the exam centres is mentioned on the admit card.

SSC JHT Application Form 2025

SSC JHT application form 2025 was released on June 5, 2025. SSC JHT application form comprises two parts-1 and 2. Part 1 comprised registration while Part 2 comprised filling the detailed application form. The application form fee can be paid online. The application fee is INR 100, while SC/Women/ST/ESM candidates are exempted from fee payment.

SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Except for educational qualification, age and nationality are the same for all postcodes. The educational qualification varies as per the postcodes.

Age: The age limit is 18 to 30. Reserved category candidates will get relaxation in the upper age limit.

  • For one-time registration, candidates need to click on ‘Register Now’ link on SSC website

  • After submitting the basic details, candidates are required to confirm their mobile number and email ID
  • On confirmation of details, the registration number and password will be provided to candidates

SSC JHT Exam Pattern 2025

SSC JHT exam pattern is divided into Paper 1 and 2. Paper 1 is conducted in online mode while Paper 2 is held offline. Paper 1 carries objective type questions from General English and Hindi. The test paper of Paper 1 carries 100 questions and 100 marks. The Paper 2 carries descriptive type questions from Translation and Essay. Total marks allotted to the Paper 2 is 200. Q:   What is SSC JHT Paper 1 pattern?
A: 

SSC JHT Paper 1 is a Computer Based Test having multiple-choice questions. It consists of two sections- General English and General Hindi. In Paper-I questions will be designed to test the candidates understanding of the languages and literature, correct use of words, phrases and idioms and ability to write the languages correctly and precisely. The questions will be of degree level. Each section has 100 questions and the total time duration is 2 hours. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
