Marking scheme of SSC JHT is for wrong answers in Paper 1, 0.25 marks will be deducted as penalty, for correct answers, candidates score one mark, score of candidates is calculated based on number of correct and incorrect answers.

Q:   What is SSC JHT Paper 1 pattern?
A: 

SSC JHT Paper 1 is a Computer Based Test having multiple-choice questions. It consists of two sections- General English and General Hindi. In Paper-I questions will be designed to test the candidates understanding of the languages and literature, correct use of words, phrases and idioms and ability to write the languages correctly and precisely. The questions will be of degree level. Each section has 100 questions and the total time duration is 2 hours. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. SSC JHT Paper 2 carried descriptive questions. This paper consists of translation and essay writing questions. In translation, candidates will be asked to translate one Hindi passage to English and one English passage to Hindi language. In essay writing, candidates have to write one essay in Hindi and one in English. It will help to test the candidates' translation skills and their ability to write as well as comprehend the two languages correctly. The structure of SSC JHT Paper 2 is given below.
